Being from Texas, Im incredibly picky about my Mexican food. My two key criteria are: freshly prepared, and "authentic." Cinco de Mayo was clean, the service was efficient, and the food was fresh (meaning very few of the ingredients were reheated in a microwave). I enjoyed both their Queso and their Guacamole, which were well-seasoned with just a hint of spice. I had a crunchy beef taco, a cheese enchilada, rice, and re-fried beans. All tasted great, and the enchilada even reminded me of my all-time-favorite from a place in Houston. It was a bit noisy, but not too distracting. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow! What a great spot! The food was spectacular, the margaritas were delicious and the service was perfect. It was five of us for dinner, so we ordered many dishes to nibble on. The grilled corn was out of this world! I literally couldnt get enough. The guacamole is a must. The carnitas and tacos were perfection. Everything was super flavorful, very fresh and I would definitely come back. The service was stellar. The waiters were super friendly and on their game. There is not one bag thing I could say about this place.

We tried this place out because of the reviews here. We were very disappointed. The Camarones de la Diabla were terrible. The Enchiladas del Norte were ok. The beans and rice were mediocre. Service in the bar area was terrible. We were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait for a regular table. We should have waited - it took longer than that to get service at a table at the bar. Then we spent 15+ min with an empty salsa dish while we were waiting for our food. There are much better options in the area.

This is your typical Mexican restaurant that youll find all over the Southeastern US. Its not really very authentic Mexican food, but they actually take the time to prepare it right and bring courteous and prompt service right along with it. Its much better than any other place in the Nashville area, even the restaurants that are also named "Cinco de Mayo". Its also one of the few places in Brentwood that you can eat a decent lunch for right at 5 bucks if you order the Speedy Gonzales lunch special and water.

Specifically called way ahead of time to make a reservation for my wifes birthday on May 5th (Cinco de Mayo). Everything was fine and they took my name and phone number. I called back a few days before to confirm the reservation and the guy says "Oh sorry, I was the one who made the reservation and Im sorry but we cant take reservations because its Cinco de Mayo". No crap, thats why I called in the first place! They werent even courteous enough to call me to tell me they had cancelled my reservation.

This is the best Cinco de Mayo location, and its one of my top 3 favorite mexican joints in the greater Nashville area. We go here pretty often to meet up with friends on that side of town, usually to enjoy some margarita specials and food. Everything is tasty, the service is always friendly and good (even if its a little slow when theyre busy, they still make sure to keep your drinks/chips and salsa filled and bring quality food as fast as possible), and we never have a bad time hanging out here!

My wife and I go here about once a month or so with some of our closest friends. We usually stay around 1-2 hours and enjoy a meal, and a pitcher of margs. They have excellent drink specials on the weekends, and when we go, its usually late, so we can get a whole pitcher for $10. The food is always prepared well, and while when they are busy, the service might be a little slow, once you are served, you are satisfied. Good drink spot!

Typical mexican restaurant with very good food. My husband and I stopped by on our way out of town. The place was packed! Service was good. Chicken nacho supreme was loaded with lots of chicken. Top shelf margarita was exceptional. Not too sweet like most restaurants. One of the best. Careful.....just one has a kick! Upbeat music. Very lively atmosphere. Would recommend it.

Wow! Decided to come here on a whim to eat lunch, and was not disappointed. We got seated at the bar that was decorated really cool. Service was quick and polite. Food came out fast and Hot, super fresh. I got the chicken plate with rice and queso, holy moly. That chicken was so flavorful and juicy, burrito sauce was the best tasting Ive ever had. Would go back anytime!
