service was ok(not good) portions for price was skimpy,kids drinks were not included in the meal and cost were 2.25 wait staff was very irritated with our party the entire time and i was very nervous to eat our food because of the thought they might have done something to it. when paying our friend asked for her receipt they refused to offer her one until she signed he receipt and when she told me about it they asked her what the big deal was. when I told them about the terrible experience they rushed us out and told us to bad and to go down the road and get there food and that there drinks are 3.50 a piece which is untrue. also dont get the Margarita pitchers its sweet and sour mix with water basically no liqour.

Ive been to this restaurant several times - each time hoping that the previous experience wasnt the norm. However, as of today Im never going back here. Our party was overcharged, and given very little attention. The waiter got my order wrong. When we asked him to split the bill, he said "Its split" and then walked away. We were left trying to figure out the bill for ourselves, only to find out we were charged outrageous prices. Once they cleared the table we were practically abandoned; even though we had planned on staying longer.

The salsa was delicious; the best Ive had in Nashville. Our waiter finally revealed they use a closely guarded combination of pepper seeds and cumin to get the unique flavor. The chicken fajitas were ample with a lot of meat that cut like butter -- not the rubbery stuff served at less refined places. The atmosphere was festive, the service prompt, and the wait staff polite and attentive. Plus, the place is kid friendly with some good menu choices for little ones. Definitely a good find. Did I mention the amazing salsa?

Tried ordering custom enchiladas with beef fajitas on flour tortilla. Server didnt understand so I asked for manager... he proceeds to "teach" me that what Im actually ordering is a burrito and then was confused beyond ability to serve when I specifically asked for the preparation to be enchiladas... I offered to pay extra. Ive never had this type of issue at any Mexican restaurant until today. The salsa was average. Too bad... Ill keep searching Nashville for a solid Mexican restaurant!!!

My favorite restaurant... House margaritas are the best... It may be funny but I love going there for breakfast. And they have a buffet. My favorite meal is Quesadilla De Camarones ( Shrimp Quesadilla )... I hope I spelled it the right way. They also have an outside covered eating earea with heat where you can smoke. Great for smokes or people enjoying the weather. Anyway - love it!

This place was awful. So many better Mexican restaurants to be found in Nashville. Margaritas had no tequila in them, food was overpriced and lousy, we waited 5-10 mins for the first waiter to come by, and we had to ask four times for an extra chair and they never brought one. (3 chairs at a table that seats 6-8.) Just avoid this place.

Manager was very rude to me when I was trying to understand the price of bill because it was different than what was stated on the phone. He cancelled my order without me saying I wanted to cancel then I had to wait even longer. I am not a confrontational person but will never go back

I dont need a restaurant to break the mold to be great. I just need them to do what they do well. I am disappointed to say that El Mariachi doesnt pass this bar. It appears to be an extended margarita deck. If that is all you require, then it may suffice.

I have been going there for years. I had a lunch for my daughter there on her 17th bday. Service is always great, and the food too. Yes they have got my order wrong a time or two , but they always fix it. Love this place.
