Okay... first time i went there I ordered the tacos- they were very OK until i made my way to the pork one. I bite on something very hard and to my suprise- I found a garbage tie in my taco!! at first i was horrified, and upon second glance I "assumed" it was probably a food bag tie from the tortilla bag or something. I tried not to alarm anyone & I did notify my waiter- he seemed confused & somewhat offered to replace it (like he didnt know what to do) but since I was almost done I just said "dont bother". I was never comped & a manager was never notified to my suprise- actually our waiter really didnt seem to give much mind to it. Next time i went there (yes I actually went back!! theres so few good mexican places in town...) well, I actually decided to stick with just a drink. It was on a wed or tues and I stood at the bar- it took me almost 30 min just to order my drink and another 15 to get it!! I only ordered one mojito & a corona. it was busy but not crazy...id say 10 at the bar and waiter table orders every 4-5min. so heres my opinion of the place- the food is okay, but def not authentic- they have turnip greens as a side for cryin out loud! Theyre charging 4 bucks for a taco & thats just too high for me!! and the waiters & especially bar tenders are EXTERMELY inexperienced. I moved from Atlanta & our mexican is fab! u go to eclipse de luna & watch those waiters pump out mojito after mojito in a matter of seconds!! Atmosphere is nice, noisy but trendy. Id still try it out though...tacos are pretty good- just watch out for metal objects! its always busy so be prepared to wait. if youre looking for a good bar place def go elsewhere because they take WAY to long! But i will say- getting to sit outside on a cooler day is very nice- the place next door play live music & you can hear it. sumed up: Its a little on the expensive side & honestly feels like a chattanooga rest. (atlantans think chatanooga is slightly lame) owned by greengos that tried to step it up & go to nashville & hasnt worked out the kinks yet. & is more focused on trying to create a hangout than run a rest. Want a really good, authentic, & cheap taco? theres a mexican place on nolensville (before the walmart-closer to harding) that make $1 tacos- made by mexicanas. Now THATS authentic- :) most ppl are "scared" of these places but considering that i found a garbage tie in my 4 buck taco- at the "fancy" place- Im willing to take my chances. My husband is Colombian- Ive been to central & south america. I KNOW good latino food...

Went to this place because I was looking for some outrages good all over nachos. Drove past some places and taco mamacita popped up. I have driven past this place before but never stopped in. We went there on a Friday night and the wait time was about 30 minutes to an hour. We got there around 8pm parking is a little bit of everywhere they have a pay area which is not convenient for anybody due to no parking lines so people just kinda park anywhere and also side parking on the streets. Service: the wait staff that night seemed to be everywhere, maybe because it was a Friday night. I tried to go to the bar and order a drink or food while we waited that didnt happen. We finally got seated and they placed us literally right next to the wait station on a small table. The waiter came and took our drink orders he gave us some recommendations on food. The food: me growing up and being actually from Texas I am very hard on "Mexican food" the waiter told us about the sloppy nachos. We were thinking amongst the lines of just a big nacho with the works on it. Once we received the nachos the sloppy was because of the "sloppy Joe meat". Not to mention there was this hint of sweet taste on the food. I also ordered the carnitas tacos which had the same effect. Overall: Mexican places shouldnt cost you an arm and a leg, this is nothing more but a trending hot spot for college kids and people with some kind of "status" to meet up and hold conversations very loudly. I would probably say if you go here try and go during the day when the in crowd isnt there because you might be disappointed. Side note the wait staff was cleaning off the table next to us spilled water all over the seats and floor sat a bridal party next to us and they all complained about the seats being wet. Waiter did nothing said nothing kinda just shrugged it off and went on about their business.

I visited Taco Mamacita for the first time this past Saturday (suggested by a friend whom has never been) and we loved it. The atmosphere was amazing. Ben was our server and he was so patient and knew his stuff. The queso was delish. I was craving guacamole but I looked at the price and was hesitant so I asked for a sample. You just cant eat anybodys guac. Ben explained that they can serve it in smaller portions but if you want to get your moneys worth, the appetizer portion was the best. He was right. It was so fresh and flavorful and was different. Ben explained that they didnt use lime. So delish! I also had the California Club Taco. My friend had all of that and a Memphis Taco. I cant explain how good it was. Different taste to it and the food kicked and popped as it needed to. I suggest Ben if you go. He was a huge help. He even got my water to taste like I wanted it and 4 cups later he got a nice tip from us. Im planning on going back within the next 3 weeks.

A quirky little place that was REALLY good. This was our first time in Nashville and I heard great things about Taco Mamacita so we decided to try it. I looked the menu over before we went and was excited to try the creative taco choices. As soon as we were seated and began looking over the menu though, I panicked. I had completely forgotten that my husband is a VERY PICKY eater and realized that there was nothing on the menu that would appeal to him. He assured me he would just try to be adventurous and if it didnt work out there was a McDs near. He ordered the Po-Boy taco and I was surprised to see he ate EVERY BITE of it. Although it was a little spicier than he would have preferred he enjoyed it very much. I got the Carribean Jerk and also ate all of it, along with the amazing sweet potato fries. Very quick service and great food, we will be back if we are in Nashville again.

Went here this weekend during a bachelorette party dinner. This was probably the best tacos I have ever had. I had the California Club taco and the Loaded Gyro taco, with a side of Mexican street corn. The tacos were so flavorful and delicious! The corn was very creamy. Their salsa was hot and spicy, which I loved and their queso was yum as well. The bride in our part wanted fajitas and they do not offer it on the menu, so the chef came out and prepared her a meal similar to fajitas. Our waiter was pretty nice and friendly. My only complaint is that it was small portions of food for the money we spent. They also had some pretty cool decorative lighting (shown in one of my pictures)
