Had a group of 10 go here for my brothers last night in town before his move. We are all local Nashvillians and most of us had been to this place MANY times. Even a few were saying how much they liked certain dishes, etc. For my past experiences here the service has been only okay and the food I never thought was anything special compared to other Mexican restaurants. I NEVER write reviews...but was compelled to after tonight- it was so bad. First, the waitress took an extremely long time to take our orders and had the orders screwed up right off the bat. We waited over an hour to even get the first few plates which werent even the right orders (none of the food came out together). Then the waitress brought a few out that were sort of correct - but for example the enchilada dish had no cheese and had a lump of wilted lettuce thrown on top with other veggies...which isnt normal. Another plate had extra sour cream when none was ordered and another was missing some. One persons plate had an uncooked stuffed pepper and half way melted cheese and it tasted horrible. A few more didnt get there plates for several more minutes. This is the KICKER. One guy and myself NEVER GOT OUR FOOD AT ALL. He ordered a simple burrito and mine was a chicken taco salad. We waited nearly TWO HOURS-- and still never got our food!!!! We had complained a few times and the manager finally came over and only HALF ASSED apologized. He said we still had to pay for the margaritas and most of the food. WE DIDNT EVEN GET OUR EFFIN FOOD!!! I couldnt believe they DID NOT try to rectify all these problems or at lease offer to comp out food OR ANYTHING AT THE LEAST!!!! The waitress NEVER came back to us after the first few plates were screwed up. EVERYONE IN THE WHOLE PLACE GOT THEIR FOOD AND ATE AND LEFT BY THE TIME THE MANAGER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED US. It was as if the waitress would not serve us. I went straight up to her and asked why we never got food and she kept blaming the food preps. I told her I saw 5 taco salads go by to other tables. SHE NEVER EVEN FILLED OUR WATERS AT ALL. I have been to this place with huge groups and have NEVER had this big of a problem. I feel like we had been discriminated against. I AM ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE AND WILL WARN ANYONE AGAINST IT. I will stick to Tequilas in West Nashville where the food comes out extremely fast and is always delicious. LA HACIENDA YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha sido la peor experiencia que he tenido en un restaurante mexicano que verguenza que mi raza,mi gente o como le quieran llamar se comporte de esa manera tan estupida y racista Mi amigo que es un moreno y yo acabamos de terminar de cenar en este lugar y una de las meseras tenia una actitud tan asquerosa y repugnante pareciera que no le gusta su trabajo y de ser asi le pedira de favor al manager o propietario de este establecimiento que sepa seleccionar su personal porque aunque les guste o no el cliente siempre tiene la razon Y asi como yo que era mi primera vez visitando este establecimiento me he llevado una impresion tan mala de este lugar debe de haber muchos por ahi pero cada quien juzga de manera que le parece Con respecto a la comida no tengo quejas o reclamos la comida estaba muy buena . lastima que por gente como esa mesera este lugar pierda clientes potencialmente frecuentes Asi que en lo personal no regresaria a este lugar!

I went here 9/1/16, the chicken in my salad, and my daughters nachos wasnt just discolored and dry, it tasted rancid and spoiled. I wouldnt have fed it to my dog. After the woman who runs the place gave me a hard time about not wanting to pay for the food we didnt eat, even after she saw and was told why(I did pay for our drinks and appetizer), she THEN informed me, along with other customers who were angry, that their debit/credit card machine was down and we would have to go up the street to an ATM. Since it wasnt my bank, or the other woman I became friends with over this, we would owe the fee for the bank AND our bank, to pay for dinner. The woman who was running this place knew beforehand her card machine or whatever wasnt working, and didnt care to tell anyone this until it was time to pay. The absolute WORST customer service I have ever had, if you could even call it that.

Horrible customer service and over-priced. I had a very bad experience awhile back and recently went back giving it another try, but sad to say I had the same treatment. I went in to buy some bread and was charged almost double what another bakery I went to charged me. At first I couldnt find what I was looking for and when I asked for help, I was sent to different people to just have them say they only had one piece left. Later, I went to a different bakery and was able to buy more at half the price of La Hacienda. They charge more because they want to sell to mainly American-based customers, are rude to you, and will literally stop ringing you up, if they see a preferred customer walk in to help them. I recommend going to a different place for authentic Mexican food where you are not overcharged for wanting to attract certain customers.

Is it possible to leave no stars? This place is a joke. Because you dont like corn tortillas you pay extra for flour. Service is beyond bad. Im sitting here waiting on food while the servers are walking around talking on their phones. Not even trying to hide it. Was here for almost 10 minutes before asked what I wanted to drink. Servers just walk up to random tables with food asking if its theirs. Lets just hope they dont charge me for ordering half and half because the way it looks my wife and I will be charged for 3 drinks not 2. When my wife ordered enchiladas she asked that the sauce be queso, there will be an extra charge for that. I live right next to Mexico and thats an option on all of our menus. I will never come back.

Look, this is one of my fav places to eat. But the service was awful. The chips we got served were tiny pieces, 3 whole chips in whole basket, we asked for mugs for our beer, and waited 10 min (and asked again) before we got them. We asked for plates for our apps, another 10 min wait.. the corn tortillas we got with our barbicoa, stuck together and falling apart.... ugh. So dissapointing. This is literally one of our favorite places to come to when we get a rare date night.... will definitely consider somewhere else next time. Just because of service. We ahould have asked for Margarito, Rey, Lupita, or mary.. . Our server SUUUUUCKED.

Im not sure who these people are doing the ratings on this restaurant.. unless theyre the owners/employees. This is not the best mexican in Nashville.. we got just regular soda to drink, me a coke and my wife a diet, and both of them didnt taste right. The salsa had a weird tang to it that wasnt very good. My tacos were good but seriously teacup sized. The enchilada was alright.. not great as well as the rice and beans. My wife said the food was so so also. Ive been to probably 5 or 6 different mexican places in nashville and this has been my least favorite. Ive had much better for the same price.
