If I could give less than one stars, I would. I have been going to Hacienda ever since I was little. i dont live here anymore but when I come to visit, I always have to go to Hacienda! Tonight, Our waitress, Nicole, was a horrible server. I think she should consider finding a new profession. It took her about fifteen minutes to come and acknowledge us. She took our drink orders and never came back with menus. I had to ask another waitress for menus. Nicole didnt come back to take our order in a timely manner. She was not attentive at all- never got us refills or more salsa for the chips. She didnt even ask or offer to bring me another Margarita. (Way to work on your tip) Once our food was brought to us, she did not come back to the table. We had to flag her down to inform her that my sisters food was rancid. She took her plate away and said "Ok". She didnt apologize nor ask my sister if she wanted something else. She did not come back to our table so I had to ask another waitress For the mananger. The manager took care of our bill and offered to give us a gift certificate to come back. The manager never came back to our table! We waited another 15 minutes and finally left. Nicole would not even look our way. No apologies. No gift Certificate. Pretty bummed about our experience.

We walked over from Wal-Mart when passing through town. They started off by overcomplicating seating with several areas. We told them we didnt care, we simply wanted to sit and eat. But, alas, we had to choose before we could sit down and order. Like others have said, their salsa tasted horrible, like tomato paste, sugar, and hot sauce. The chips were flavorless. Their "allergen menu" gave the options of either chicken, pork, or beans on a plate. Nothing more. Fajitas were not even an option, like at every real Mexican restaraunt. The waiter was about as friendly as a wet sock, but with less personality. We gave up, walked over to the waiter, gave him a couple bucks for his trouble - which he looked at, shrugged, and went back to using the computer, and walked out. No one seemed to blink an eye that we walked out, I have to assume its a normal thing and they are used to it.

Hacienda is one my favorite restaurants and we eat there several times a month. The food is a little pricey, but its always very good. The chips and salsa are free and unlimited and very good. We often nearly fill up on the chips just waiting for the main entree to arrive. Hacienda is known for their frozen margaritas and they have a variety of flavors, all of them good. They occasionally have specials such as $3 mugs or $1.50 glasses on Wednesday or Thursdays during some parts of the year. Their bar area is a seat-yourself first-come-first-serve area and was recently changed to non-smoking. There is an outdoor dining area too. The Portage location always has great service, friendly wait staff, and is a nice atmosphere. This is our second favorite location after the 100 Center location in Mishawaka.

What a disappointment! Our family use to visit the Portage Road Hacienda, but the last 4 visits have been disasters. We have received wrong food, no food, and were totally forgotten. Today, we went to the Erskin Plaza Hacienda. We arrived to a half filled dining area. We waited 15 min to be seated, where we sat for 20 min before we left. The manager ran out to apologize. We went back in, and experienced awful service. The server gave us our salsa, but then would take the chips. He never asked us if we needed refills on salsa, chips, or even drinks. The food was good, but not worth the hassle. Time to find a new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Im only giving 1 b/c of the customer service. I was expecting this place to be a "white mexican" food place BUT I expected it to be better then TacoBell. Save your money and go there instead. The chips and salsa is gross! The salsa looks like tomato paste or ketchup. I got there wet burrito and could not eat it and it didnt even come with beans or rice (this may have been a good thing for my digestive system). Their coke was also disgusting and their sprite. Again, your better off at TacoBell.

Service was not bad. Good was horrible, the salsa looks like ketchup and was very gross. Their famous Wet Burrito, was horrible. I asked for a chicken wet burrito and the chicken tasted like can chicken. Then they put some kind of brown gravy around the burrito which I think is supposed to be enchilada sauce. But it wasnt, not sure what it was. Margaritas came shot glass. Make sure you ask for a mug. My total experience was disappointing. Thumbs down!

Their food is good, their atmosphere loud, their birthday celebrating - cliche. I like a shredded beef wet burrito every once in awhile and the chips and salsa starter is great but I have to ration my Haci visits, else it gets boring. But its a community party default location so everyone enjoys it at one point or another. The portage one is my personal favorite but to each their own.

Thank You Hacienda for the great service and good time our family shared April 26th. Kudos to Gloria and Kylie for their great service and courtesy and to the rest of the staff that also helped make everything run smoothly! It was quite a party and you all handled it with great professionalism! Thank You All @ Hacienda!

The salsa has to be the worst Ive ever tasted. It was like tomato paste and ketchup. I ordered (3) chicken tacos and they were terrible. The chicken had no seasoning on it whatsoever. Who doesnt season the chicken in chicken tacos? I will never go back. Save your money and go down the road to Applebees.

After noticing three billboards around South Bend, we ventured. Probably worst Salsa we had in a while. The so called "wet burito" is pretty bland. The tap beer I got has not much zip in it. The whole affair seems haphazard, with fast talking hostess, waitress running around as if she has no time to talk!

Horrible. Took forever to take our order and even longer to serve our food. Arrived at 9:30 pm. Waited 10 minutes to be seated. Left at 11:20 pm. The table next to us, ordered after us. They got their meal and desserts before we got our meal. The first round of chips were colder than the Salsa.

As usual, one of our families favorite places to have dinner. Love the food and the atmosphere. Lots of fun. Gluten free options too. Shrimp and steak fajitas are the BEST. We made a special trip here for our Spanish exchange student to experience the great food.

I went to this restaurant about a year ago and the service/food was horrible. A year later I decided well maybe I just got the restaurant on a bad night and I would try it out again. It was just as bad if not worse. I went home and made my own chicken fajita!

It was not good. Silverware was dirty, 2 sets. She forgot our small ranch and I ordered sour cream and guacamole and did not get it. Also there were dirty tables all around us the whole time. They were never cleaned. We will not return to location again.
