Terrible service. My wife and I arrived around 1230 for a bite to eat. We were told to sit we wed like so we picked the end of a long table, two seats. After a few minutes watching three waitresses pace back and forth we knew it was a bad sign. No one acknowledged we sat down. There were several open tables so it wasnt too busy. Another couple arrived after us and sat at the booth directly beside us. Immediately a waitress appeared and took their drink and food order. Soon after a couple of guys stepped past me and sat at our same table. Soon after another waitress came from behind me and said "excuse me" on the way to help the guys who sat down after us. I kindly asked the waitress for menus and she appeared to be annoyed. Thats another bad sign. She brought us menus but wasnt interested in taking our order. A third waitress stopped to take our order. We ordered drinks and food from the menu. Ten me minutes or so later no drinks and no food. The guys on my left and the couple on my right we served drinks and food promptly. Sitting patiently and waiting for more than 30 minutes with no food or drink in a small restaurant is pathetic. I can assure you my wife and I will never attempt to eat at this location anytime soon. Good luck with your future customers. Perhaps they have a problem with people wearing HD clothing. Regardless I will spend my money elsewhere. Also their bbq is "meh" so seek alternatives.

The food made me and my son sick. We both got a type of food poison and spent the whole day in the bathroom and in bed. If you were here on 11/25/14 and also got sick, please reach out to me. Overall the food is terrible, everything the sell, you can tell was not fresh or prepared there. All probably bought at the grocery store. Like other reviewer wrote, "this place is a typical tourist trap". Food is really expensive for what it delivers, and the false advertisement "the best ribs I ate"....So misleading... Plastic plates, plastic silverware...The taste of the BBQ was horrible. If you think that this food is good, you never experienced any good food in your life and should be pretty sad about that. We ended up staying as we were too nice to leave. I will never do that, in the future, I will step into a place that I do not like, I will stand up and leave. Do not go to this place, you may get sick.

My experience here was VERY disappointing! Example1: The menu was lacking and food was thrown together. Example 2: Our waitress was so rude. My husband and I were told we needed to hurry and order, because she needed to work the register or we could wait awhile to order. I was absolutely appalled and was confused as to why there is only one person taking orders and working the register. Currently residing in Lynchburg and have been for the past 5 years. I was finally able to give this place a try after wanting to for so long and was highly disappointed. The lack of professionalism was absolutely ridiculous! My husband and I will not be returning nor will we recommend this establishment to any of our family & friends! A message for YOU, Bar-B-Que Caboose.. keep in mind you arent just serving tourists.

My family and I came in and we loved it!! We all got something different like the smoked sausage, pork sandwich, ribs, and bbq pizza and it was all terrific!! I would advise everyone to come to the bbq caboose to eat. Even though the food was fantastic, the waitresses and host were also wonderful. When we came in I asked all the girls that helped us their names because they were all so fantastic! If you come in you need to ask for Katie, Ivy, or Casside. They are all wonderful, quick and a pleasure to talk to, you cant go wrong with any of them!! And on top of that when I went to pay before I left I got to talk to another wonderful lady named Lori who I think is the manager. All of the girls here are great and the food was SOOOO delicious that we will definitely be coming back very soon!!!!

In a word....Awesome! Our server Katie was prompt and quickly got our menus out to us. She was very helpful with getting a high chair for my 2 year old daughter. The restaurant itself is very unique with the decor! Definitely fits in lynchburg for a great place to eat. The red beans and rice were the best Ive ever had and the pizza can you say cheese? All homemade! Will return from Nashville to eat here often. Miss Lori keep up the good work!

This place is a typical tourist trap. The food is horrible. They use bacon bits from a bottle on the potato. The BBQ was horrible. The restroom was horrible. Nasty restroom and a hook on the door the left the door partially ajar. The only reason I stayed us because I did not want to appear rude. I would never go there again.

Waitress was pleasant, though very slow to check on us in a mostly empty restaurant. The food needs an upgrade. I liked the atmosphere and all the pictures on the wall. Please improve the food, it has potential.

Terrible place...thought this was a real bbq place, but was sadly mistaken. Paid 22 bucks for a small piece of frozen catfish and a pulled pork sandwich made in a crock pot. Stay away!

I had the BBQ plate with red beans and rice and slaw. The meal was fantastic! Great smoke flavor in the pork and the red beans and rice were awesome.
