Weve eaten here regularly for 6-8 years. Sadly, except for the waitstaff, the entire experience has declined. Our meals, as recently as 8/13/2015, were disappointing. Mid-day, there was a table of 6 (talking loud, but not excessive) and a booth with 2 when I arrived. I asked for something quiet. The only large booth has a long tear in the seat. It has not been repaired in a year. Theyve simply moved it from one side of the table to the other and covered it with a tablecloth. I asked could we sit in the bar, Ive been out of town four days and wed like to talk in quiet? No, we can only seat people there on the weekends. I chose another booth. I asked to speak to the manager. My waitress returned saying shed come "when she had a chance." About 15 minutes later, this woman in a large, saggy t-shirt and pony tail, brought our water and asked if I needed anything. I said, "No, just waiting for my husband to meet me, Hes running a little late." I had asked for lime in my water. They were hard and brown. Very unappetizing. Her explanation was, "Mother said, its not lime season." Our waitress returned and asked if Id spoken to the manager. I said she never came. She said the woman who brought our water was her. I told her she never introduced herself & I thought she was another waitress. My husband arrived. We ordered the antipasto for one to share, grouper and pasta entrees, and a carafe of Chianti, our bill was about $62. We noticed they had charged us a "split" charge for sharing the antipasto. Weve "split" the antipasto many times and never charged a split fee of $2. Their food is fine. Not great, but good. Rock Hill, SC offers little competition. We used to feel like they were a kitschy, 70s era, but quaint little restaurant with better than average food. I can buy fresh, green limes any day at the grocery store. I doubt well return.

On a unexpected trip to Rock Hill finishing business it was time for dinner around 7:30pm. We were in this area and decided to eat Italian. May I say so glad we did. It is,a friendly and great atmospheric restaurant. I saw my favorite on the menu which was lasagna. My friend ordered antipasto salad. I must say Im Italian and have not tasted lasagna like theirs except my great grandmothers. It was delicious beyond words. You can taste the homemade goodness in each bite. The serving was enough for two so I took my leftovers home. I will definitely come back here again. They made you feel at home. Prices well worth it! I highly recommend this restaurant! I live 2hrs away from Rock Hill but would drive just to enjoy another meal. Thank you to the staff and owners.

I have never had a more unpleasant dining experience than I did tonight. My wife and I were eating en route to Columbia. By the time we even were seen, let alone served we could have gotten to Columbia and eaten there. The food was mediocre at best and took forever to just get my salad. I had to send it back because they drowned it in vinaigrette dressing despite me asking for honey mustard on the side. I got it back and it had the wrong dressing on the side. I never got my honey mustard dressing or the side salad my wife begrudgingly asked for. I will never visit this place again. The grouper scampi looked like almost all breading on top of fettuccine Alfredo, and the meat sauce you served my wife tasted horrible

This is my first time and arrived on a Friday early evening with no wait. Ordered the eggplant rollatini. It came with a starter of warm breadsticks and a most delicious house-made marinara, kissed with spice. The house salad with vinaigrette dressing was good. The generous portion of delicate, rolled eggplant stuffed with ricotta on penne pasta is wonderful. I took home the remainder that the server boxed. (Always appreciated). The server was very pleasant and attentive. Definitely will be returning. My only wish would be for whole grain penne pasta, but they said they have a zucchini pasta, so I need to give that a try.

The best food in town, about as close to real Italian food as it gets. However the down side about this restaurant is the service and wait time. Saturday night- wait time was 30 min (normal right?) We waited a hour ( not a big deal) once seated, we got our drink orders in ( great timing) the waitress was great! Once we ordered our food, we waited over a hour. We actually told them we were leaving and to give us the bill for drinks but they insisted our food was on the way out. It came out within 2 min. Again great food, and service, may be ready to spend at least an hour and a half for food!

This was probably the worst experience I have had there. We waited 20 minutes or more before anyone even approached us. The staff was arguing on who was gonna take our table, then a different waitress that was not even in that group approached us. Hour and a half later we get our food. Also they had a server wrapping silverware and taking care of customers while drinking alcohol.

Luigis is a wonderful Italian restaurant that cooks homemade marinara, pizzas, Strombolis, pastas, and other classic Italian dishes. A friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere top it all off. However, be sure to come with patience and a hungry tummy because fresh takes time and the portions are large!

This was me and my husbands first time eating at Luigi and it was good. The food came out hot, which we appreciated. I can definitely say that my husband and I will be back then we will have a second experience to compare this first one to. Nice place in Rock Hill

Food met expectations. Great portions. Great taste. Customer service lacking. Corey was attentive but the rest of the staff was noticeably silent. No "hello", no "goodbye". It was ackward walking toward 3 staff members prepping to exchange greetings and NOTHING.

My friend and I ate there yesterday. It took me back to authentic Italy. It was fantastic. I had the meatball roll and she had shrimp scampi. Omg,it was to to die for,and the waitress was great. You got to try it.

Food is consistently delicious. While the most recent trips have been exceptions, service is slow (not concerned with food prep time). Careful with the Marsala as it has oranges on it.

No matter how good the food, it cant compensate for epically dysfunctional service. Its as though the staff have no training whatsoever, common sense or otherwise.

Every time I walk in I swear I am back at Grandmas house. I close my eyes and the smell sends me back in time. And the food is definitely no disappointment.
