El Cerro is my favorite restaurant. Never been disappointed....until I went to this location. I ordered the mini chimis like I always do. Everything looked good. I started eating it and then the next thing I know, Im swallowing a piece of hair. I complain to my waiter (which I have never done before) and he asks me "how long was the piece of hair?" Like I know? I swallowed it. I gave him an estimate. His response was "Oh, really? Because I have the longest hair in the kitchen." (his hair was average length for a man so it was short.) Rude. He told me he was going to go get the manager. Well he comes back a few minutes later and says, "The manager is too busy right now. Do you absolutely need to speak with him?" Whatever, I ordered something else. I ordered wings. Well everything looked great, until I found a piece of hair on my wings. Needless to say I lost my appetite. So I asked for a to go box. He brings me a to go box and guess what? There is hair on my to go box. I didnt even say anything because I was so irritated. Ive never been so disappointed with a restaurant before. My friend and I were just in awe at how frequent the hair problem was. I will never go to this location again and I strongly recommend no one does either. The manager cant be bothered with and the waiters get aggravated when you complain about how disgusting your meal is. So unless you dont mind eating someones hair, stay away.

I don’t write a negative reviews often, but here goes one. Seated just after 5PM. The chips were not fresh and probably from the previous meal or day. When the food arrived the plates were very hot, but the food was just kind of warm. We didn’t have silverware. I asked guy that delivered the food for silverware. He said he would get some, and I never saw him again. I hadn’t seen our waitress is some time. I asked another waiter on the floor for some silverware. He went to get our waitress to bring the silverware instead of just getting us some. We finally had silverware. Food was just acceptable. No paper towels in the restrooms (plenty of used ones on the floor). I just deserve more for $15 a person.

We are locals and this is one of the very few mexican restaurants my boyfriend and I love. It is our number one, we use to live around the corner from there (for 1.5years) and didnt discover this place till 2 months before moving! So so so upset we are much further away but we definitely make the trip once in a while. From the salsa to the queso to the tacos i get every time down to the ice cream and churros, its all amazing. Ive also never been disappointed with any drink Ive gotten from there they are huge glasses! One of the bartenders always remembers me hes so sweet! they messed up my to go order one night and he was right on top of it and perfected it all. Best mexican restaurant in myrtle beach!

After eating here on opening night, my husband and I decided to return to this location. After sitting at our table for ten minutes, we walked out. We had not been greeted, asked for our drink order nor given any chips and salsa. Three tables had come in after us and were promptly greeted by their servers. We are frequent diners of El Cerro Grandes and now we know to continue visiting our favorite location in Garden City. At least there we will get immediately greeted, awesome service and fast delivery of our food.

Used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Went so many times they knew my name. However, once they moved to their current location, things have gone downhill. Ive had salsa accidentally dumped on me by a server, table crumbs wiped into my lap by a server, the food has gone way up in price with a much smaller portion, and food quality has gone down. I can easily tell you which Mexican restaurant is best in the Myrtle Beach area and this isnt it.

I eat here or order to go almost monthly. The food is very good. If you are going to order to go, call ahead and check your order. If you go there and order to go, it will take upwards of 45 mins. It is almosy like the to go order doesnt matter to them. They dont apologize for the long wait. Just take your money and go. All of my dine in experiences have been awesome.

Slow service. Waited nearly an hour for food, had to get up and ask for the only drink refill we received, sun shone in the faces of half of us at the table, when food came, it was left by our table on the large platter with no waitress around. We finally got up and distributed the food ourselves. Food was good but would not go back due to service

My family and I wanted good Mexican food while on vacation at Myrtle Beach, and a local insisted we try this place out. Hands down was one of the best Arroz Con Pollos I have ever eaten. Perfect amount of chicken to rice and cheese combo. Delicious food and great environment! Will return when we plan another trip to MB.

We had a party of 7 and we were seated immediately. Our drink orders were taken and delivered quickly. The salsa was some of the best weve had in years. Our food was delivered promptly and hot and it was delicious! I highly recommend El Cerro Grande for anyone looking for quality Mexican food and service!

BEST Mexican food ever! As locals in Myrtle Beach, this is a must stop for out of towners or locals. Our out of town family members repeatedly request us to take them here to eat. Try the alambre or chollo pollo, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing food, at an amazing price. The food is absolutely delicious. We went on a Sunday when it was not super busy. We were in, seated, served by an amazing server, stuffed and on our way back home within 60 minutes! We will be back for sure!

2:45 Lunch and perfect and surprisingly so... We rarely expect scrumptious but the flavors are tweaked just enough to be different yet classic Tex-Mex. Nice staff... attentive enough too. Big recommend!

As somebody who is a bit of a snob when it comes to Mexican food, this place can be considered decent at best. Not trashing El Cerro, its just tough to get good Mexican cuisine here in Myrtle Beach.

Food was delicious. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. Two other locations as well. Spacious seating and a professional waitstaff.
