I love this places location and decor but it certainly leaves much to be desired in terms of service. It became apparent fairly quickly that because we were not the normal hipster clients that this place normally receives we would be treated as second rate customers. At one time i even thought i over heard the bartender mention something about giving our group a hard time. The worst offender was the gentlemen with the face beard/tattoo he was very rude and did not know his way around the bar very well. He began by taking our orders first and then continuing down the bar asking and serving others before coming back with our drinks, i thought that was pretty rude considering the bar was not packed by any means. Not long after this a friend asked for a drink and tattoo beard asked him large or small, my friend replied that he would like a small and was basically given a shot of jack and coke and charged 6 bucks. Legitimately a large shot glass. The bartender seemed to find this amusing, he was quite the jerkoff. Wont be back until they get rid of him.

I understand the grunts and aspects of opening. I understand that they are, in fact, not even open...really. My husband and I, like most people have been anxiously awaiting cantina loco. we have been fans of Mikes for awhile. We were both incredibly unhappy with the food we got when we went. flavorless, boring and exceptionally over priced for what we received. I have had better tacos at many different restaurants in the Buffalo area that dont even focus on Spanish, Mexican or Latin fare. I understand Mike has the rare luxury of coasting off of his already established name but I get the impression he is phoning this in. I would imagine all the hype the place had and all the excitement surrounding it would cause him to bring an "A game". At some point all of the food "experts" and writers are going to have to come clean. But, I hope it was an off night and I will try again once opened fully to experience Mikes true vision. Hopefully the stars go up.

The hostess was extremely rude to me and my husband. She was too busy flirting with guys at the bar to bother greeting us, even though she kept looking over at us and smirking) so we had to stand there for a while without anyone taking our information. When she finally came over and we asked for a table, she rolled her eyes. Needles to say, we decided not to eat there that night or ever again. With so many great restaurants in the area, and so many people looking for work, you would think Cantina Loco would at least take the time to hire someone who gives a great first impression on the restaurant and at least pretends to care. Terrible service!

This is a great place to start your day. I was served by Michael twice, two consistent days and I trusted him to what he chose for me. As a vegetarian most places disappoint me in Buffalo, but this place made it worth the visit. I had the bean and rice burrito one day and the incredible vegetable hash the other day. If you are lucky you get complimentary nachos too. Their way or making the burrito is uncommon, maybe the caramelized onions improve the taste. Pretty crowed in the evening but my experience is in the day. Happy to be here and I give them a five star. Thanks Michael for greeting me well and suggesting.

Extremely disappointed. My boyfriend and myself being customers of Sea Bar at least twice a month, we were expecting quality. We ordered the Loco nachos, chorizo burrito, California fish taco, and the skirt steak taco. The fish taco was just poor - no flavor, and the fish was quite oily and seemingly not seasoned. The skirt steak flavors were good, but it was rather tough. The chorizo & nachos were only OK, but Niagara Cafe has better. Sad to say, but we will not being giving Cantina Loco a second chance unless there are major quality changes. So disappointed.

The food was delicious. HOWEVER: I asked for the addition of cheese and lettuce on my burrito and there was a 50 cent surcharge for the lettuce, and a $1 surcharge for cheese. Not only is that extremely stingy, but we werent told that the addition of these basic items (which should honestly be free) would result in a surcharge, which is very sneaky. Chips and guacamole is listed as $4 on the menu, but we were charged $5 on the bill. After pointing this out to our waitress, nothing was done. For these reasons alone, I will never come back here.

Im in love with the Chorizo Burrito! Ive had it probably 15x now. Korea Town tacos are my next favorite thing here. Not sure why anyone gave this place a negative review, the foods great. I know Mike is working on tweaking the items to perfection so dont be surprised if they change a little each time when ordered. I cant wait for summer when the weather is nice and their patio is open. I got a sneak peek at the inside and its quite nice in there too.

We had a large party last night to celebrate something over dinner and drinks. What we thought was the perfect place was soured by the very rude server. She never told us her name. Rolled her eyes OFTEN. Never checked on us, and was annoyed when one in our party had to use a credit card. I will not come here anymore. I work in the service industry as well and cant get over her stank attitude. Someone needs to think about an alternate career.

This place has great Mexican-Fusion food and has lots of great reviews on yelp for many reasons, mine: Food Drinks (margaritas) Value I read a few reviews here complaining about the service; I have been here a couple of times and have had great service every time - I dont think Im a "hipster" and wasnt ordering piles of alcohol. I will definitely be going here when I want tasty Mexican-ish food.

I came here last year but never got around to reviewing this place. We had the guacamole and chips, the vegetarian taco with tofu, the chicken which I didnt like and the Carnitas. At the time they had empanadas which I found to be lacking flavour but I dont see it on the online menu anymore. I wouldnt come back only because I would like to try other Mexican places in the area.

Food delicious; however, at the end of the night the bartenders are unbelievable nasty human beings. They make you feel uncomfortable. They make an atmosphere where you feel like you do not want to be there. Plus they "work for tips..." so you think they would be nice. But hey if they do not want to make money...continue what theyre doing.

Went for (brunch) on Saturday. Limited menu. Queso ($5) was runny but good. No free chips/salsa. Got the Korea town taco which was pretty good, but only one large taco. Meat had too much char. Veggie Quesadilla was decent but nothing spectacular. I prefer Don Tequila just down the road if you want Mexican and a better value.

Great food, great service, cool atmosphere. Sidenote: very annoyed my group ended up tipping 5% because they cant/wont split checks and in the ensuing nightmare of divying up unprepared cash, people rushing out to the ATM outside etc, tip money was put into the bill pile..... wont let that affect my rating though.
