This place is pretty much Agave (elmwood) but on Allen. Its in the further part of Allen, which is fine, The Menu is exactly the same, but so is the food quality, which is good. Its a bit pricier than Im used to when it comes to this kind of Mexican fare. Also, the walking room for the bar is extremely restricted and if youre standing away from the bar youre sharing elbow room with diners. Which maybe okay for you, but id hate to be a diner dealing with that. Also, theres absolutely no good waiting area by the door if youre looking to eat. So, if youre there on a busy Friday or a Saturday youll be stuck sitting in the muck by the bar. Once you get seated the experience is pleasurable enough. But as a dining place on weekends, Id say try somewhere that is less confused whether its a restaurant or bar

If you like plain Velveeta and american cheese( non Mexican) smothered over all your different entrees where this is all you taste, this place is for you. Taco Bell is more flavorful and authentic and cheaper than this so called Mexican Restaurant. Food awful and service just as bad. I lived in Texas for years and know what Mexican food should taste like. I guess they stay in business because people do not know that the food especially tamales should not be smothered with American cheese. My plate had a poblano and a enchilada couldnt taste them or tell what was what, only Velveeta cheese. Do not go!!! There is some good Mexican restaurants here.

Not what is used to be. I prefer the old staff, dont care of thier status. Food was bland, faquitas was burned. I think we got the worst server, he was drinking shots between serving tables, talked for ever at other tables, said 6 minutes till we get the food, took 45 mins. Just to get the bill was another 30 mins. Had to remind him 3 times for a take home box. Felt like a hostage, waiting for the bill. Spoke to another staff about our server and he just shrugged it off. Maybe we need to give it time for them to adjust with reopening. I will just keep watching reviews till it gets better. Such a shame.

The fajitas were outstanding. The amount of meat in the "fajitas texanas" was ridiculous. The meat was not overcooked and it was super flavorful. $15 for fajitas may sound like a lot but the meat ratio was unlike any Ive seen, and there was so much flavor. Its so hard to find decent mexican / tex-mex food in Buffalo, but this exceeded all of my expectations. Ive been back a few times. And the free salsa is really good too!

Absolutely ridiculous. We waited almost 2 hours for a table and didnt receive one after we were told 45min-1hr, 4-5 tables were seated ahead of us yet the wait time didnt change. The host was clearly allowing people to cut in line on the list. Along with this, no one knew the prices and they were different than clearly stated on the signs. If youre going to reopen a restaurant, maybe be at least a tad prepared.

A good experience. We went with some friends and our toddler during off hours for lunch. The food came fast, and tasted fresh and delicious. They were very accommodating for the toddler and were able to make a small special order. The server was good, not great. Call me old fashioned, I think that regardless what you order for drinks, water should be automatically brought to the table.

Nothing good to say about this place. Food was horrible no flavor what so ever. I cant even say the service was good it wasnt. Asked for salsa had to remind waiter a second time. 30 mins later forget it food was cold by then. Asked another waiter for more drinks didnt do anything but go and stand with manager at door. Not even the damn manager took his time to ask if everything was ok.

They changed the menu since reopening. Unfortunately the staff & kitchen are not up to speed as they used to be. The food was tasty but the hassle, the wait & the inexperienced & sort of rude staff made me not want to return. Hope things improve for them, they had a great business going before the closing.

Im from AZ and have eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants. This place is mediocre with large portions of mid grade ingredients and fairly forgettable flavor. The chips were good and the salsa was decent but nothing special. I wouldnt go back if I had the choice. The service was good, though

Our favorite mexican place downtown. I live in Phoenix for a while and their food is similar in style and authenticity to what I ate in the south. We love the Fajitas and they have good drink specials. Walking distance from the Medical Campus and the best traditional mexican on Allen.

Ive been 3 times now and every time I wonder why I give it another shot. It is adequate at best in a sea of much better restaurants in the area. Service is only ok, never pleasant. The food is alright but bland compared to other places in my opinion.

Crazy chefs have food on your table mere minutes after ordering! Wait staff seems resigned to their fate of calling you "amigo" and never makes it awkward. Has the best Vegetarian section of any Mexican restaurant in Buffalo. Wonderful all around!

The wait was terrible. He lost our reservation twice (in one night) and sat everyone else before us. Im sure the food is good but they said it would be a 20 minute wait and it turned out to be an hour and a half wait for the reasons above.

We were seated right away, literally two minutes later we had our salsa and chips. Ordered our drinks, got them really fast. Food was excellent, I ordered the shrimp fajitas. Shrimp was freaking huge. Cant wait to return!

Food is amazing! Id say its pretty authentic. The prices are fairly cheap and the workers were very welcoming to us which made it a great experience. We go every Tuesday for their Margarita specials. "Margarita Tuesdays"

The service was horrible. Thats all that I can say. The food was average but even if it was great, I wouldnt go back because of the poor service. It wasnt very welcoming. I wouldnt go back even if it was a free meal.

Finally reopened! They dont have the full menu just yet but still a good variety! You only get 1 basket of chips and salsa for free now. If you want more salsa, its $3, which makes me sad but is understandable
