Im usually quite generous in restaurant reviews but cannot believe the horrible experience I just had at OPH. Went here on a Sunday for brunch. Knew it would be busy but we were in no hurry and the weather was great. All was going fine until we received our food. I ordered a chicken sandwich and the presentation was nice and the fruit salad was beautiful. However the chicken was undercooked and disgusting, completely killed my appetite and nearly caused me to get sick. The texture!!! I know what cooked chicken is supposed to taste like and this was not it. I hate sending food back and reluctantly told my server that the chicken was undercooked. He looked at it and insisted it was fine, that its how the cook it on the flat top or something like that. He did not even offer an alternative or an apology at all- just snatched my plate up and walked away. I sat there for 20 more minutes with no food while the rest of my party enjoyed their pancakes and omelettes. He completely ignored me for the rest of the meal, as if I had done something wrong. I noticed the sandwich was taken off the bill so I guess they figured all was settled. But I take poor service and lack of pride in serving edible meals to be a big deal. I wont be returning to this establishment ever again.

I loved the OPH in Champaign, IL and was excited to try this one. The first time I went I had odd tasting food. I decided to give this location a second try. Mistake. Nothing horrible, but the food was mediocre. The seating is cramped and I basically was sitting at the same table with strangers with how close we were. My blueberry pancakes were dry and the fruit was unripe. My coffee was not enjoyable so I asked for water. The only good thing about this place is the friendly staff and the wait time wasnt long in the least. Hoping to try the other OPHs in the area for better food.

The Southpark OPH was the first restaurant I visited upon moving to Charlotte. In the 20 years since, I have yet to find another breakfast place that I enjoy more whether that be in Charlotte or elsewhere. Im hard-pressed to think of any friends or relatives that I have yet to take here, and they have all universally raved about it afterwards. Simply put, the food is top-notch, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable — especially considering its prime location adjacent to the mall.

My husband and I went for New Years Day breakfast on Sunday morning and it was great! Julie, our server was super attentive and made some really good recommendations. Portions were good and food was very fresh tasting. I had the corned beef has at Julies recommendation and it was tasty! My husband had waffles, eggs and bacon and he LOVED the bacon. It was really thick cut and they are generous with the servings (4 strips versus 2 at most places). Ill definitely be back when visiting CLT again.

We had to wait in line just to be sat where we were ignored by the staff. It took forever for them to get to us and even longer for them to return with our drinks. Then the food came out (finally) and it was cold. We ordered eggs over medium and scrambled hard. They came out over easy and scrambled wet. That was only the beginning of the problems. We finally just walked out because no one would pay any attention to us. Dont waste your time going here!!!

Id give it 5, except my country ham was overcooked, and the way they cram ppl in like sardines makes for a less than peaceful and enjoyable experience. Today, it was especially loud, which is not the restaurants fault, but which affects the overall experience. Lots of groups who seemed to have missed one of lifes important lessons about how to keep their voices down and conversations private when sharing common spaces.

wow... best breakfast ever! Had eggs benedict and it was sou good! Im definitely going back... servers are nice and greeted me with a smile. only thing that made me kind of disappointed was there were only 2 eggs benedict! Lol I wanted to get some more because it is one of my favorites. Not too price friendly, yet worth the price.. wish it was atleast 3 eggs benedict per plate hahahahaha

Great place. Was there for breakfast when they opened at 6:30am. Staff was very friendly and the food was good. I would eat here again if I lived close by. Had to take someone to the airport early then waited for them to open. Choose this over some others because my daughter is a vegan and they had something on the menu she could eat. She got the oatmeal with raisins and nuts.

The area was beautiful. Theres a lot of shops in the area if youre looking for something to do. The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I had the Strawberry Belgium Waffle and although I waited a while for it it was heavenly. Couldve used better service but overall very enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone in the Charlotte south park area.

I frequent The Original Pancake House. Its generally really busy, but they seem to get people in and out quickly. Ive never waited more than a few minutes. The cool thing about this restaurant is that I can get breakfast at 8 or 9pm. Its clean, the food is great and the staff is very nice. Ive been dozens of times and Ive never had a single bad experience.

Very long wait for a table of 2 on a Sunday (and very crowded in the waiting area), but we enjoyed the meal. They have a really big menu, and the prices were fair for the amount of food you get. I had the breakfast combo, and my husband had an omelette with a side of home fries. Both were tasty! Well go back, but probably not on a Sunday morning.

This was my husband and I first visit at this place after looking for a place to eat for breakfast. The reviews were high and that what peaked my interest. I ordered the chicken and spinach omelet and my husband had the links and egg breakfast with pancakes. We both were satisfied and look forward to coming back again in Charlotte, NC.

I was just passing through on a road trip, and this place was recommended to me by a security guard at the mall across the street. The food was GREAT. They serve maple syrup and have gluten-free pancakes. Service was fast and staff was super nice. Highly recommend!

Simple, relatively inexpensive breakfast eats in a happening area of south Charlotte. Walk around shops in Sharon Corners to walk off the pancakes. Parking can be a struggle during peak hours. Watch out for the after-church crowd on Sundays, it can get busy!

This place is great, unfortunately the secret is out and everyone flocks here for brunch. I have to knock a start off because the waits can jump to an hour or more plus everyone feels the need to bring small children. Otherwise the food and service are awesome.

Go early in the morning to avoid the wait. I never order anything special, just eggs and bacon most times. I love the thick cut bacon they serve here. The coffee is sadly terrible. I have tried the apple pancake and I believe it was undercooked in the middle.
