I did my research on this restaurant because I am a big breakfast fan. This restaurant had great reviews by many people on the web. So I decided to go this past Sunday morning with my boyfriend. When we first walk in I felt out of place because it seemed like everyone stopped eating when we walked in, did I mention we are an African American couple… hint. The waitress that served us walked over to the table as if she was the one who was chosen to do the dirty work and serve us and every time she came over to our table she would be in such a rush to leave she never asked if we need anything else. We had to get up a couple of times to get things like sugar and stake sauce from the bar area or ask another server that passed by. It became annoying after awhile, the food was not all that great however the pancakes were all most the best I have ever had, the hash browns were ok but they were more like diced buttery greasy potatoes with little taste. Overall I would not recommend or return to Eddies.

Ive had mixed experiences with this restaurant. Several years ago I had some of the worst experiences and treatment ever and resolution with management failed. At that time I told myself I would never eat there again. U say this in order to offer a contrast and point out the significance of my 5 start review. The only reason I went back is because u had a friend who had heard good things about it and wanted to try it out. We had this weekly meal activity for several years and had our regular places to eat. Occasionally we would add a new place and this was one of those occasions. My friend knew about my previous experience, but only from me. I tried to hold that bad experience in suspension and not let it affect this meal. I was not disappointed. Everything from service to food changed my mind about "never eat there again". I do recommend this place with a caveat of perhaps avoiding traditional rush times like weekend breakfast.

This place was ok. I was really hoping for more from all the great reviews. Id like to give the benefit of doubt that I came on an off day. My server wasnt really attending us. Another girl had to pick up her side and do her job because ours just got us drinks and took our order then never came by again. The food seemed very bland as it had no salt or seasoning. Thats one star down. The other was that if you look at the ducts they are extremely dirty, the walls look like they had food splatter where I sat. there was a foul smell coming from the kitchen when I went to the bathroom. It should be up kept a little more being an open kitchen. Other than that Im sure this is a good place for socializing.

This place is a mystery to me. We’ve come numerous times for breakfast. It is always packed but the food is mediocre. Tonight we went for a “Lobster Special” which I thought was ambitious for this caliber of a restaurant, but I figured…hey, maybe they do it well. Of course it was “affordable” but it was also “awful”. The Lobster was undercooked, cold, tough and stringy. They charged $2. for each plate to take the lobster out of the shell. I just wish the two ladies next to us would have coughed up the extra 4 bucks so I did not have to witness then manhandling their food. The service was good and so was the wine, but the food was, once again, disappointing.

This place was just okay for me. We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. The staff was friendly and attentive. My coffe was never empty, but the food was a little disappointing. It took at least 25-30 minutes to come out of the kitchen and it wasnt really worth the wait. We ordered their brunch special chilequiles with over easy eggs, and it wasnt that great. One of the eggs was kind of runny and the other was waaaay over cooked and rubbery. It wasnt anything to brag about. Again the staff was wonderful, but the food was just eh.

I heard alot about this restaurant over the years and was excited about finally stopping in. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits without reservation! Overall it was a good portion size. I was not OK with the type of shrimp used that were not deveined and I could tell that they were low end frozen shrimp... I had to work on them a bit so that I could eat them. Other than that, the wait staff was friendly and the pricing is reasonable. The menu has lots of options and next time I will order a sandwich.

Best dining experience we’ve had in years. The atmosphere is fantastic and each and every employee appears to enjoy what they do. Fantastic service and everyone has a smile on their face. You truly feel like you’re at Eddies House including lively conversation with Eddie and his wonderful wife. My wife had a lobster platter fit for a Queen and I had the double pork chop. Make sure you leave room for the crème Brule it’s to die for. Can’t wait to go back for more…

Fiance and I stopped in for a drink. Matt was tending bar and very friendly and helpful. Fiance was at first not hungry but saw another customers plate and ordered same. Delicious. The hash browns off the chart. Matt told me about the "a must" She-Crab soup so I ordered a bowl and salad to go. Delicious. Good friendly bartenders are hard to find these days and Matt was GREAT ! Keep up the good work !

This was my first time eating here. My husband had the chicken and waffles and I had French toast and chicken. The food was AMAZING! . the chicken was a huge portion and was coated with some sort of crispy pecan mixture. It was tender and moist. Both the French toast and waffle was great too. The cinnimon pecan butter made it all complete. whenever we come 2 Charlotte this will be our SPOT

This place has been here forever. These guys are open crazy hours 7 am to 2am. When do they sleep? The food is great, they always have tons of special. I love the potstickers and the she crab soup. They make an awesome muffaletta sammich.. very filling and inexpensive. This place has a regular bar crowd. Its has a neighborhood restaurant vibe, you come here a few times, they get to know you.

Have been here before, great food. Went there this morning and was told there was a 20 minute wait, 30 minutes in a realized people that got there less than 10 minutes ago were being seated. I went inside and asked where we were in line and they told me I was next. Then three groups were seated after this. I left after this

Showed up for lunch, because they had good reviews. My first time here. The wait was Quite long, the servers were hectic, no bartender today. But the food turned out to be worth it all. I got the grilled salmon special and man-mosa. Ill come back, but definitely not for lunch hours. I was told that its calmer after 2:00.
