We have been looking for a good breakfast place to go to on weekends. Somewhere that will fill a plate with eggs, hash browns, meats, etc. and leave you money to still have fun for the day. Unfortunately Toast doesnt fit the bill. The location that we went to use to be a bar/restaurant (that I cant remember the name of) and recently opened as Toast. The location is great, with lots of seating both inside and out. Let me start with the good...The food was very good, and the service was good. The location is in a good spot and if it were a little warmer today we would have sat outside. The Bad...Toast is WAY overpriced. I ordered one of the specials which was eggs with chorizo sausage, jalapenos, and corn salsa. This comes with one piece of toast, one side like grits or small helping of home fries and cost $11. The orange juice we ordered was $3.50 for a small glass. My wife had 2 eggs over medium (that came runny) and home fries (about 6 potatoes) and it was $10. If you wanted to add meat like 2 pieces of bacon or sausage, it was $3.50. We are not cheap, and dont mind spending for a good meal, which this was BUT this is breakfast, and you dont want to start your day with a $30 bill for something that is $10 elsewhere. So other than the extremely overpriced menu items, Toast is a good spot to have breakfast, but be ready to spend.

First time for me and my family at Famous Toastery, was hoping it was worth it. Ended up with a very long wait for food (50 mins for breakfast from the time we ordered), but it couldve been longer if I didnt ask for a manager (who sent someone to get our food before he came to our table annoyed which you could see as he walked up). No big apology and just assumed since our food was out all was fine. Not to mention multiple tables sat after us and they received and finished their food by the time we asked. The food was over cooked, dry and cold (at the time we werent going to complain with a hungry 3 yr old and pregnant wife). Left still hungry and a 10 minute wait to pay (cashier was overwhelmed with limited help). Only good thing was the server Cory (who was not even our server and was the person I asked to get a manager) helped bring the food, apologized for the very long wait, and tried to acknowledge my kid who was trying to be patient. I hope this helps them figure out what they can do better for their customers.

I went there the day before Mothers Day with a friend. Parking was insane but I found a basically empty lot about 100 yards down the road (park there). They have some sort of parking system there where you can pay to park which was a bit surprising and annoying! We had about a 20 minute wait which was not bad at all considering the day and the time. Upon ordering, my friend changed her mind about what she wanted to eat. When they brought out the food they had both orders there! Definitely didnt seem like there was good communication between everyone. I was surprised by how fast the food came out and realized why as I started eating. The food was subpar and definitely overpriced. It was obviously it was very quickly mass produced. We paid $20 total for both meals when it probably should have been around $15 or so.

I have been here before and I recall that the food was good but today my order was disgusting! I had to spit it out. My order was Quinoa with Vegetables. The vegetables had a rotten taste I kid you now. Then they added a lot of lemon juice to cover it when I specifically said I didnt want the lemon dressing. It was tart like the vinegar. The manager later on CONFIRMED that was the last day when they were supposed to use those vegetables. In my opinion were a week past expiration date. The order was also super small for $11. It went to garbage. My wifes omelette was over cooked. I do recall the eggs Benedict were good here along with the hashbrowns but I will definitely not come here again after this fiasco.

Not worth the wait. Plain food. Bad service. My French toast was about what Id get at Waffle House, just more costly. I found also found the service abysmal. The "shared service" model really means no one feels responsible check out your table. Throughout the meal, I never once got a single refill of my coffee. I had to walk to the servers station with my mug in hand after 20 minutes of waiting. The sweet tea my dad had was clearly sweetened after it was already chilled and really gross as a result. When brought up to the server he said, "oh I dont know I didnt open today." I realize every review is completely anecdotal, but I found a lot of truth in every other negative review posted here.

Deliciously fresh and great service! I have always been in impressed with how fast the food comes out of the kitchen and is always so amazing! I recently was there with a 20 plus minute wait for a table, people dont mind waiting for such great food! A customer was getting quite upset since she noticed there were empty tables in the restaurant that werent being sat. She complained to the manager, the manager simply said, "We dont have the staff today to man all the tables in the restaurant and customers would not be happy with their order turn around time, so we would rather people wait for their table and the best service we can provide!!! Great business model! A must try for breakfast!!!

This place used to be so much better. It gave off a weird vibe. I was there before crowds and my food looked like it was just smacked on the plate. I got bacon, egg and cheddar on English muffin. Slapped together with very little concentrated about presentation. The food was quick but not satisfying. The experience felt cheap. I used to love this place because it was affordable. Now not so much. Most everything started at $10.99 and went up. It used to cozy and relaxed. Ugh. I will not be going back. So disappointing.

This was my go-to spot but I no longer like it. Went today had bad (expensive) food and poor service. After paying and leaving a tip, I mentioned that I didnt have a good dining experience. (Hot OJ, cold lumpy grits, raw turkey bacon, no condiments) The girl at the counter said "Well you know we dont cook the food" vs saying Im sorry you had a bad experience. I wasnt asking for anything. Just sharing feedback. That took me over the edge of annoyance to leave this review.

I think the food here is pretty good. Service is usually good too, if youre seated at a table. If youre sitting at the bar it seems like its not as good. I think this is because servers dont just cover a set number of tables. As the menu says everyone is your server, so youre always well taken care of when there are multiple servers frequently passing your table. At the bar area, its pretty much on the one or two people behind the bar and they get caught up in other stuff.
