This has always been one of our favorite restaurants for lunch when staying at Wild Dunes. However our lunch on 9/19 was less than stellar. First the flirty waiter Kyle became almost immediately annoying and inattentive to his job as our server. 1:30 pm lunch reservations. Hardly a soul in the restaurant. Bread served stone cold with cold butter. (One of the treats at this restaurant). Then $12 crab soup served tepid. Our lunch some time later comes out of the kitchen barely warm. When we pay over $70 for a lunch we have expectations. The Palmetto Cafe was a total disappointment. May explain why at 1:30 the restaurant was not beaming with customers.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the burger with fries and lobster mac n cheese. The burger was HUGE and amazing as were the fries. Something is lacking from the lobster mac n cheese but I cant quite put my finger on it.

Lots of bakery items, excellent coffee, pleasant folks. Although we just wanted coffee and a breakfast sandwich, both were very good and the display of quiche, desserts, etc was awesome.

Bread was good, server was amazing. (Laura I think - she was pretty new)....but this place is overrated and is a bit of a tourist trap, and way expensive for the caliber of food.

Seafood club WOW light but packed with lobster shrimp and smoked salmon. Incredible good and different. Warm bread and tri butter a dining delight.
