I recently moved away and miss living so close to this place. I cant say enough good things about the sandwiches here. Also very affordable and they have a punch card that helps save money. The staff are good but sometimes do not unlock the doors right away in the morning when they say they are open. Went there once during a snowstorm and they were all in back working and had the door locked. Waited for 10 minutes (and this happened other times too). Otherwise they are great w/ managing lunch rushes and are very friendly.

I was a pretty frequent customer and the food is great but the past few times I have gone in the staff have been very rude and the last time I was there an hour before closing and was told that I cannot order anything because they had already cleaned up for the day.so basically I was nothing but an inconvenience for them and will probably not return again. Even emailed the owner and the reply was sorry Ill. It you a cookie next time no thanks Ill just take my business elsewhere.

I LOVE Nelsons! The sandwiches are soo good. The prices are fantastic. Honestly this is probably the best sandwich spot in town. They also have side pastas and cans of pop for a buck. What more could you ask for? You can go to Potbelly, Subway, Quiznos, I could go on and on, but none of those places even compare to Nelsons quality and you will probably spend the same amount of money if not more!

Fantastic sandwiches, salads and deli in a no frills atmosphere. I grew up just blocks from here and have enjoyed several of their different sandwiches and never once received a bad one. They also sell delicious desert bars, chips and drinks. I highly recommend "The Veggie"(with the optional gauc and sunflower seeds).

I admit that their trays are rich and delicious. However I am a bit concerned that the quality varies. There are days when things are fresh and one can hardly imagine anything better and other days when one can even find the cheese a bit smelly. Stick to the quality, please, people appreciate it!

Great hole-in-wall deli. I never would have found this place, except by recommendation. This clearly a well-loved place. The work lunch traffic was steady. Lots of great sandwich options with a very classic deli feel. No doubt I will be back again soon!

Nothing to rave about. I ordered a box lunch. The Nelson wrap was OK, the potato salad was average. The brownie was dried out and tasted like it was baked over a week ago. D Brians or Jimmy Johns are much better choices for boxed lunches.

This is my favorite sandwich place in Minneapolis. Sometimes I go out of my way just to eat here. Not very expensive, lots of selection, plus you can buy cheese and other items. Highly recommend trying it out.
