We made a reservation and the table was not ready we went and sat at the bar, waited 10 minuets to be greeted by the bar tender where he never offered a menu and wouldnt help us. Ordered drinks and that took another 10 minuets when he WAS NOT BUSY NO ONE WAS AT BAR. He should not be employees here and also he had nail polish in a food service operation. Finally we got our table. Everything we ate was cold. Water was not refilled. Also we only got one of the crackers and sauce for a table of 6 and they didnt bother to give more. Food took forever and was cold as anything. Lamb was cold and nasty. Chicken tandoori had 0 flavor and rice was like ice. Told our waiter my girlfriend was deathly* allergic to broccoli and she was still served the broccoli on the plate of food. Took almost 10 minuets to even get someone to come over and assist. We then had to wait much much longer for a new plate of food with out broccoli(which came out cold) (it probably was the same plate re plated) I came here once before and thought it sucked. Gave it another try and it was still crap. Needless to say, drive yourself down to fishkill and go to tanjore where the food is more authentic (Ive been to Asia and it is the best you can get around here)and the service is amazing. Dont come here just dont do it. Oh and last time. They charged our card 3 times for the same bill and it took 2 weeks to resolve and have the money refunded. Horrible service horrible place.

While the atmosphere and décor of Cinammon was quite nice, in the end the food itself was par for the course of my experiences with food in Rhinebeck. The chicken tikka masala tasted incredibly flat and solely of paprika where traditional notes of ginger, cloves, and coriander should have been. Other dishes Ive tried were much the same, and sauces that were supposed to be thick and creamy were quite the opposite. Everything was very under-salted as well, and we had to specifically ask for salt, as there was none on the table. If youre looking for authentic Indian flavors, you wont find it here. While the food wasnt necessarily bad, the price per plate made the whole experience insulting. $15-20 per plate for lunch was exorbitant considering the size of the portions and the quality of the food. Their Facebook page also has inaccuracies in their menu: the menu advertises a Saturday/Sunday lunch buffet, which does not actually exist. Overall there are much better choices in the area for authentic and actually delicious Indian food, and I would highly recommend you try someplace else.

This is the greatest Indian restaurant in the Hudson Valley, possibly, ever. Its so delicious. The atmosphere is incredible, the decor is beautiful orange and brown with nice white and wood finished. We had the masala dosas, which came with two delectable sauces and basmatic rice, the saag paneer which was so good I could cry thinking about it, and the meat platter for a starter. The drinks even go with the theme, lots of spices and ginger. We had two gin fizzes which had ginger and were so , so good. For dessert, it was the pistachio sorbet and rice pudding, both of which were fantastic and I had never tried before in an Indian restaurant. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed a gorgeous date night after a yoga class around the block. Anytime we celebrate anything, this is where we are coming!

The service here was terrible!! We waited 20minutes for our drink order and then had to order them again when a different waiter finally came to take our dinner order. The food took a long time and came out luke warm. The waiter who took the order never came back to check on us. The food was ok but nothing special. The naan came out 10minutes after the entree. The only thing they did quickly was take our money...and they tried to over charge us for the drinks they never served. Soon after leaving the food did not sit well, and both I and my date eat lots of curry but were sick from whatever they served us...which made it all the more ok that they forgot the leftover we asked them to wrap. Super rude and nothing special for not a cheap meal. Dont waste your time or money here

We used to love Cinnamon at its old location, and even in its new one when it first opened. So we were incredibly disappointed yesterday when we went back and had a fairly large meal to take away. They still have a good selection of vegetarian dishes, and we ordered a range of those, plus a Chicken Tikka and another chicken dish. The naan was fine. The rice was OK. All the sauces for all the dishes were watery, and while the flavor was, well, fine, the texture and consistency was really poor. The chicken tikka sauce tasted like a super-sweet dessert made from canned tomatoes and a spice pack. Even the dipping sauces for the pappadum were watery and sub-par. And the prices were high - around $19 on average for each dish. We wont be going back.

The food was bland, it felt like they avoided making dishes that are normally spicy spicy because its a boring rich white town. Definitely not authentic indian food. The price would have been fine if the food was better, the portions were also smaller than I would have liked, I left hungry. Their website said they had a lunch buffet on Saturdays but I went on a Saturday and the person who greater me said the buffet is only on Sundays and only in the evening. Indian food typically has a depth of flavor that both dishes I tried here lacked. Would not recommend

This is my favorite restaurant in Rhinebeck and one of the best Indian restaurants Ive been to anywhere, and Ive been to many in a number of countries. The food at Cinnamon is made with love, generosity, and an exquisite balance of spices. I dine here often and the quality is consistent. The Sunday evening buffet is terrific--great variety comprised of some standards (Tandoori chicken, onion nan, etc.), and always something new to try. And the owners and staff are always welcoming, gracious, and kind.

Ive used this restaurant for birthdays, special celebrations, a quiet night out, and even used them for our rehearsal dinner. Their Samosa platter is so amazing. This is food unlike Indian restaurants Ive been to, especially any in the Rhinebeck area. It is all fresh, high quality meats and spices and desserts. It is not cheap, but it is fairly priced for a real restaurant with quality food, great service, and owners which feel like family.

This was my first time here. I went with my girlfriend. The food was excellent. Everything came within a reasonable time and the staff was attentive. The calamari is a must have. Its the best calamari I have ever had. I thought the portions for the entrees were fair but I felt the appetizers ans dessert could have been bigger for the price (just 2 samsas and 2 galub jamun honey balls) Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of.
