Ive been eyeing this restaurant for some time now because its the sister restaurant of Rasika. You must book 1-2 months in advance or expect to sit and dine at the bar. Luckily we forgot the memo and walked right to the bar. Restaurant is pretty small and looks like it seats around 30-40 people. There is a wood burning oven in the corner with a food prep station. Youll see fresh naan, sliders and other small dishes come out from here. Everything else is cooked in the back kitchen. We had the Golgappa, spinach naan, lamb kathi, sticky pudding for dessert and a Curried away cocktail. Golgappa is one of my favorite Indian dishes and Im glad they were able to put an interesting spin on it with some avocado. The spinach naan was perfect and the lamb kathi kept us wanting more. The sticky pudding had a nice molten of chocolate in the middle with a sweet caramel glaze around it. The Curried away cocktail had a stronger ginger taste. We enjoyed it because of the interesting egg yolk and house gin in it. All in all we were very pleased with our service and food. Place is a bit tight, but we didnt feel squished. The staff, host and servers were friendly and you can tell its a well run establishment. There is plenty of neighborhood and street parking. Will definitely be back to try the corn rice pancake, lamb kebab and pao Bhaji

Very disappointing meal. Shrimp bezule was so bland the only flavor was fried shrimp. The sauce was separated for the pathar gosht making it gritty, oily, and watery. Fish of the day covered in same separated sauce and fish tasted so old we sent it back. Manager argued with me about fish and no apology offered. He did remove the fish from the bill which we did not ask for. Golgappa was just ok. Star of the show was the green sauce that came with the rice pancake which weve had at Rasika before and is delicious. Forget that this restaurant is advertised as having the same chef as Rasika - this is clearly not the case. It is name-only (or was last night) and the food is disappointing. This is the first time Ive *ever* left a review for any meal - it was that disappointing.

Really good, authentic Indian food. The portions are a bit small so remember to order an extra dish or two. Service could be a bit better. I was in a party of 3 and we had no trouble getting seated at 9pm on a weekday. However, after that we waited awhile before anyone came to us and announced they were our server and were going to bring us back water. It mustve been 10-15 mins after we sat down that we actually had anything to drink. We ordered several dishes to eat family style and most of them came out on time. One of our dishes didnt come out until 10-15 minutes after we had finished all the other food, even though we ordered it all at the same time. Sometimes these things happen, I get it, but my experience couldve been better.

Service was good. Golgappa with avocado was a a good idea. The menu is just weird from an Indian perspective. They seem to put together a bunch of items from different parts of India. However, these are all adapted to the American taste and modified, sometimes creatively (e.g. avocado golgappa). Naturally, regional cuisines of India vary wildly and its unlikely for a single chef to do justice to all of them. Uttapam was undercooked and did not taste authentic. The tomato-onion uttapam was covered with chopped spring onion. It was actually tossed and fried on both sides. So my conclusion is that they do the easy stuff well, but lack in expertise.

Terrible experience from the moment we walked in. The server was loud and obnoxious and it felt like she was telling in my ears. After taking our orde, she returned in 15 mins to review the order. The draft beer was room temperature and upon asking her for another beer that is chilled in their bar she replied that my " cold " is different then their " cold ". I complained about the whole unorganized situation to the host and his simple reply was that he will tell the manager. Cant believe that the " RASIKA" has dropped their customer service level to these lows. I would never step foot into any of their restaurants ever again.

The decor and service were both excellent. The appetizers that we got (ragda pattice, avocado golgappa, and shisito pepper pakoda) were all great tasting, but very small given the price. I would say that the best of the lot was the ragda pattice. The pao bhaji was my entree; it was excellent, but you might want to order an extra set of pao (bread) to go with the bhaji. I also tried the spinach and paneer khati roll (not on the menu, but available for vegetarians); it was solid, but not quite as good as the pao bhaji.

3.5 I had high expectations coming into this restaurant. I left with some definite opinions. The space is warm, inviting and busy - but not too much so on the latter. The service was excellent. The food was either excellent (Avocado Golgappa & Chicken Kathi Roll) or just okay (Uttapam: Sweet Corn-pepper or Naan: Bacon Chili or Pao: Goan Pork Pao). For me the mixed results take some of the luster away for the idea of this place. I still think its probably worth a visit, but be mindful about what you order.

The food was great, but the service was pushy and the beer prices were astronomical. The restaurant is located in the old Bardeo section of Ardeo Bardeo and its a relatively small space. We had a reservation for Friday night, which I highly recommend because it was very busy. The server explained the dishes well and everything was delicious, but people were constantly trying to take away our plates before we were finished. Worst of all, the price for a small draft beer (and most bottles) was $9!

I can easily see people having very mixed feelings about Bindaas. The food was good but for someone familiar with the cuisine it really seemed to lack authenticity. That being said, the menu had an interesting twist on typical food that Indian people would be used to. People who eat a lot of Indian food may not appreciate this departure from authenticity, however they must admit that the food is still pretty tasty and fresh.

Despite high expectations set by being regular patrons at Rasika and Bombay Club, Bindass failed to make the cut largely due to its poor customer service. The owner Mr. Bajaj was extremely rude and not willing to accommodate to reasonable requests. The atmosphere maybe chic and menu innovative, but the bitter response to once loyal clients cannot be swallowed!

We didnt have reservations and walked in to be seated. Our wait time was over an hour, but the hostess and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was OK, the menu didnt have too many options and some dishes fell short. Id probably come back if the wait wasnt too long.

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent vintage Bollywood videos. The crab idyappam, Goan pork, and shrimp bezule are phenomenal, but we didnt have a single thing not worth eating. Non-listed cocktails could be a bit better, but thats not why I came. Must try.
