If youre from the area, you know Georges Gyros, unquestionably. However what we have here is a superb addition to an area (Monessen and the Valley) that needs this. Ive been to By George about 5 times, and each time Im impressed. I usually get the gyros, but Ive had other dishes there and all were done as good as any Ive ever had. Great service, a great beer menu, and the food is always on point. If you havent tried this, go, because you wont regret it. I would suggest a few more Pita chips with the gyro dip. Theres so much dip and not enough chips to finish it!

My wife and I visited By George Saturday night for dinner for the first time. Pleasant décor, clean, and friendly staffed. We were seated quickly and given the specials and drink orders. My wife had the meat raviolis and I had the Garlic Spaghetti with shrimp served in stainless bowls. Both meals were excellent. Fresh bread, nice house salad, and raspberry baklava for desert. My only suggestion would be to provide a spoon with spaghetti to twirl the pasta and replace the bowls. We will be back.

I was recommended to By George by a friend who goes to the local Greek Orthodox Church with the restaurants namesake. The food is fresh, the portions are generous, the facility is clean, the atmosphere is welcoming. If youre hankering for Greek food while visiting the Mon Valley, By George is worth the trip! (We truly prefer it over the Greek restaurant on Lincoln Way in White Oak.)

The food is great. Everything Ive ordered has been very good. Service is good. They can be a bit busy on the weekends as its one of the only restaurants around the area. One person in our party ordered a steak sandwich, but received the chicken sandwich instead. This was immediately rectified and they got the correct sandwich out the table within minutes.

Stopped in for lunch the other day and had a great meal. The Gyro salad and the fried mushroom appetizers were both great. The deserts looks amazing, but we were too full from our meals to indulge. We will be back again. Friendly staff and bartenders.

The food here is amazing. Sometimes there can be a wait to get in, but its definitely worth it! The stainless bowls they serve the pasta in keep it nice and warm the whole meal! Everything tasted great and so fresh!
