Lunch here recently was a bit of a mixed bag - well, maybe not an even mixed. The Chicken & Orzo Soup (a quart for $7.99) was tasty, but thin on chicken and orzo. There was some very tasty chicken, plenty of carrots, but the soup was very lite on the orzo, which is a big part of the taste of this soup, at least for me. In fact, there was much more broth than anything else - really hit home how much less after looking at previous pictures of the soup. Dont know if this is a permanent thing, sure hope not. The Chicken Salad Platter ($8.99) was a collection of salad items that were a bit off the beaten path - perhaps more healthy, but that loses some import when you really dont like them enough to eat them. The Chicken Salad was tasty, but was minced to the point that there was no real texture to the salad. The Slaw was maybe the strangest of all the items. The cabbage was cut into strips, feta cheese and scallion were added, along with a very light vinaigrette, very lightly applied - wasnt quite slaw, definitely wasnt a salad. The Potato Salad was basically chopped up baby Red Potatoes, and thats about it - no mayo, no flavor, no mas. The Pasta Salad also was rather dry, though not entirely without taste. Wouldnt reorder any of these salad items. I want to be healthy, like everyone else, but a slightly longer lifetime gained by eating in this manner may not be the trade off Im looking for. Of course, Ill be back for the soup - well, at least one more try.

A Greek-deli hybrid with a health-conscious spin, Zoe’s Kitchen sounds great on paper, but fails to live up to the promise of its concept. To its credit, the Birmingham-based chain shows some innovation with its menu. Sides include braised white beans and mayo-free marinated slaw and hibiscus green tea is available as a fountain drink. Several dishes can be prepared to accommodate vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diners. Unfortunately, not all of these innovations are successful. Zoe’s signature sandwich, the “Gruben” (turkey, Swiss, slaw and mustard on rye) lacks zest and will leave you craving the real thing. Though feta is an oft-utilized ingredient, Greek staples such as gyros and spanikopita are notably absent here. Pricing here isn’t unreasonable. Sandwiches are an even $7 with one side included and the sides are generously portioned. Salads and entrees (with the exception of salmon kabobs) are all under $10. Lunchtime at Zoe’s can be a mob scene. Show up between noon and 1 p.m. and you should expect at least a five-minute line wait. That, coupled with the garishly bright interior design and less-than-comfortable chairs, severely diminishes its appeal as a dining option. All and all, Zoe’s Kitchen is well-intentioned and offers a few novel selections, but the food has a long way to go.

Really good fresh healthy options. Very consistent and friendly service. My go to place at Friendly Center for lunch and quick dinners more often than not. Greek salads are excellent - the greens and veggies are always very fresh and cold and it is served over a simple potato salad that hits the spot. Their homemade Greek vinaigrette (a bottle on every table) is key. Excellent house-made humus that tastes the way humus was intended to taste. Very good home made soups and sandwiches as well with Mediterranean/Greek flare. A very clean and bustling environment with good outdoor seating as well. Always a very good experience at a reasonable price. Good place to take kids and family.

When I visited Zoes i didnt think that the food would be that good! To me they have the best Greek salad and the most popping pita bread. The Greek salad comes with three of my most favorite foods; a hot pepper a green pepper and red onions. Ive had plenty of good Greek salads, but to me Zoes has the best The food is fresh and excellent. And also, it helps that the employees are very friendly and always smiling. Ive told all my friends about it. The place is the bomb. When I go there I feel like the employees actually care. It was very clean inside and out. its in the middle of the friendly shopping center so parking is not really a problem.

Not a normal experience. Usually we love this place. Not sure if they are under new management. No ice, no lemons, the forks were dirty. Got to the only booth we could find that didnt have dirty plates all over it and it was dirty too! Wiped it off and waited for the food. Got my usual chicken kabobs and they were cold. They replaced them with lukewarm ones. So after eating we both had to go to the restroom. That was a mistake! Towels and toilet paper all over the floors! No way any employee had been in there to check and if they had, they are lazy. On the way out, my other half and I discussed our disappointment!

Dont let the young faces fool you into thinking they wont live up to the customer service standard! Young lady assisted me better than Chic-Fil-A. She asked what I liked, what I didnt suggested a great sandwich. Not only that I was torn between fruit and potatoes salad, when I made mention I was skeptical she said the cook there was taking the potatoes, and putting a spin on things by Grilling them! I sat and waited and this young lady brought me both sides, and chocolate cake as well so I could have the whole experience!

I bit overpriced if you ask me. $20 for two people - one a healthy male and the other, a very pregnant woman - worst part was not enough food! yes, healthy and fresh. but a bit overpriced.....$2 for a drink! not the best greek salad in town......mythos has it hands down!!! and at least they give you enough food to feel completely satisfied and satiated.

Had the hummus, shrimp kabobs, rice pilaf, side of fruit, and side Greek salad. The food was so delicious. I literally said wow while eating the shrimp kabobs. They have great vegetarian, vegan, low calorie, and gluten free options as well. The cashier was very helpful in helping me choose what I wanted.

Zoes catering is wonderful! The prices were great and the food was amazing!! My birthday party guests were excited to have Zoes. Please call Erin Williams for all your catering needs. She is wonderful and takes the time to make sure you get what you need at a price you can afford for your event.

Compared to other Zoes I have been to, this one is the best! The staff is always ready to greet you with a smile, the restaurant is very clean and well maintained, and the food is always wonderful. My only hope is that they expand their vegan menu selections one day.

The food is yummy, its a bit expensive for casual dining but worth it. Its popular and busy so sometimes dining in on the weekend or evening is not the best option if you dont want to wait long for your food. Employees are really nice. I love this place.
