Lets start with a couple good things. Server was nice and attentive, and the venison steak we got was perfectly cooked. Other than those couple things, this place left a lot to be desired. Reviews had this place as "cozy" and i couldnt disagree more. First, they had some cheap college curtains at the front door to reduce the draft, so you could barely even tell that was the entrance. As you take your seat its hard not to notice that youre sitting and what was once somebodys first floor apartment living room...didnt do a great job disguising that. Drinks were good but pricey. Menu options were hard to devise. Felt like a shouldve brought a thesaurus along. We settled on an app that was described to us as some sort of bread with all types of cheese cooked into it. Unfortunately what we got tasted like whole wheat dinner rolls with unsalted butter. Split a Venice steak dish with my girlfriend, and again the steak was excellent, but the mustard based sauce it was coated in was terribly overpowering. Wont be going back there anytime soon

Elegant and upscale but not stuffy - perfect spot for the 30+ set or any Hbg younger professional. It features nice little touches like playing classic oldies/R&B on vinyl records. Love the tin ceiling and the chalkboard wall that features their wine selection. The service has been consistently impeccable each time I have been there. As small as it is, weve never had to wait for seating. It feels like home because you literally are in a home - theyve taken a stately old 2nd Street grande dame and converted it to a cozy little bistro. Wine connoisseurs and foodies alike will love this place. Its also nice that it is not on restaurant row - so theres plenty of street parking. We enjoyed trying lots of different appetizers and small plates and desserts!

Love this place! The service was attentive throughout the meal with courses accurately timed and plates appropriately taken away to make you feel taken care of without being rushed. The dog-friendly patio is a genial touch and befitting of a European-style bistro. People go to restaurants for the experience, and our experience at Note Bar & Bistro was inviting and exquisite. We are THRILLED to support a new local business in the neighborhood with such talented staff and such notable care in their food. Not to mention a schedule of live music classy enough to fit in a much larger city. Bravo NOTE!

Note is absolutely our favorite dinner restaurant in Harrisburg! The seasonal menus are fantastic and the food is always delicious and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the staff is always friendly. We enjoy the mussels, duck, and creme brulee, but everything is wonderful including the wine selection!

The best dining experience Ive had in many many years. Anywhere. The atmosphere is very cool. The bar drinks are special and expertly prepared. The wine selection is unlike anywhere else and does not compromise on quality or taste. The food is spectacular. Oh, and the service? The best. Enough. Go find out for yourself.

The food is fantastic! Well worth the price. Dont walk in thinking youll get a quick and easy dinner. The menu is amazing, the wine selection is great, the cocktails are fabulous. Ruth and her staff are extremely accommodating and lovely. Eat there as often as you can afford to!

Staff both front and back of house is phenomenal. Ive had so many dishes here but the lamb Benedict is my favorite. I love that the menu rotates seasonally. Not only is their brunch fantastic, but the dinner is killer.
