Thats the least I can do. I came here with 15 people during rush hour and managers and servers did their best to seat us. However, after about 5 minutes, some of the people decided to go the the other places and dragged us from this place. Prices are reasonable and its one of the good places to go to if you didnt make a reservation and its around 6-7pm on Friday evening.

A bit pricey for what you get, but the menu is a bit more upscale take on your typical American bar food. Happy hour includes one of my favorite beers (Shiner Bock) for $5, so Im happy to sit at the bar for a couple hours. Ill probably head over to the taco shop next door for dinner though, so I dont have to drop $14 on a burger.

A good bar downtown that tends to get crowded (like most bars in the area) the food options are ok but nothing to write home about. In the warmer temperature months, they open the bar front windows which is pretty cool. Good for larger groups and a back bar for private parties.

I was surprisingly impressed by Proper 21. The food was good (I had the crab cake sandwich) and the drinks were good too. While the accuracy of the service could be improved (multiple things were incorrect with my food order), the staff was nice and friendly.

The truffle mac and cheese was excellent! Service was only okay - it seemed like they were understaffed behind the bar, and it was making the probably normally very pleasant bar staff a little stressed. I will probably visit again for a full meal!

We found Proper 21 after a day at the Smithsonian. We were surprised by the noise level when we got there, but we were all pleased by the service as well as the price and the quality of the food.

A glammy sports bar, the kind I expect to find in NYC. Huge space, good beers and cocktails, and the food looked good too. Smack in the middle of downtown with good mass transit options.

They have two areas: bar and dining. The bar area was so crowded that my friend and I decided to sit at one of the dining tables. Service was excellent though. Very classy place.
