This restaurant would be probably be good if it wasnt too busy, when we came in the restaurant there was no one to greet us, and a long time to wait longer than they told us to wait. The food when it finally arrived was coming very slowly and having many intervals between dishes. The food was fine except it came in very little quantity. The restaurant wasnt too big even the outside area was small. The way to order food isnt traditional either you have to go all the way to the front of the restaurant to order and the price is OK. Overall dont go here if you have a lot of people with you. I recommend small groups.

We ordered dahi vada and the server had his thumb touching dahi and his thumb print was on the bowl. He didnt even care to use a serving tray. Masala dosa was too oily. One can easily make 4 dosas in that amount of oil. I would give some credit to chef for trying Punjabi curry pakora but it can use some work as well. It was South Indian version of Punjabi curry pakora. There was a fly around our food and server did nothing about it even after telling. This place is expensive for the ambience and quality. Sorry guys, you really need to improve a lot!

This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants in the Pittsburgh area, serving a combination of delicious North and South Indian food. They have a BYOB policy and DO NOT charge a corkage fee. Must try on the menu is Chicken Lollipops, Chicken/Goat/Lamb Biryani and Butter chicken. We usually go with a spice level of 6-7 on the entrees and they turn out perfect. They also have very good appetizers like Samosa chaat and Cut Mirchi (Spicy). Fridays and Saturday evenings are their most busy times.

One of the best place for Indian food in Pittsburgh. The food is fresh and made after you order. The price is reasonable. If you like spinach and paneer (Indian cheese), try "paalak paneer". Gobi Manchurian as appetizer is an excellent choice. Their Naan is one of the best I have had in Indian restaurants in the US. But if you are looking for a place with good ambience then this may not be a good choice. Dont expect great service also. Best if you order in phone and pick up the food.

Disgusting..,These guys dont know how to behave with the customers. I placed order thru call, went and picked up the food and when I came home and checked, 2 items were missing. I called in the evening about the same, they said, YOU FORGOT YOUR FOOD, come and take it, Its still here. In fact, its their mistake and didnt give the packages properly. They think, the food would be fresh after 5 hours. Wow Delhi Cafe. I would never ever go to this place again ..,

My wife and I try to eat her once a week. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Love the fish wrap and the spinach lamb. Place is very clean and the outdoor area is cozy. Its byob but there is a state store in walking distance to the restaurant and that actually saves you more money. ( instead of a glass of wine for ten bucks, get a whole bottle!). The staff is friendly and helpful.

Appetizers- Some of them are good. Keep away from the chaat. Indi- Chinese - Sometimes, it is over salted. Could be the soy, very off putting. Curries. A big no no no. Its almost always heavy whipping cream and color. WHats wrong with you people!!? Biryani - Mutton biryani is the best. I go back to this place often, I do. I just order the same few things all the time. Its safer that way.

They close at 9:30 PM on a Wednesday and I went there at 9:05 PM and was told that they couldnt honor me as their kitchen has lot of stuff lined up. Their food prices went up by 20% every six months over the past few years, I have been going there and the quality going down by 20% with the similar quantity. Why dont they just change the time to 9 PM?

Be careful if your vegetarian. I see non-veg stuff in my veg dish and it is difficult to identify. They do very good gob in mixing non-veg with Veg and hard to find. Also i never go here on week-ends and busy days since the taste is also bad. i Know this restaurant from day one and quality of the food is going down time to time.

Our favorites are the lamb chettinad and the spicy seekh kabob wraps. The atmosphere and service are lovely for dining in and theyre also great for take out. The other evening when we were there the staff saw my son looking at the chocolate cake in the display window and brought us a piece out on the house. It was so nice!

The food is wonderfully tasty, though the restaurant is a lot more informal than most. Go up to the counter, order your food, pay the bill, sit down where you want, including the nice seating outside. When the food comes, though, it doesnt feel half-hearted. It tastes amazing, and theres a great deal of variety.

Good food, must try- cut mirchi, veg Hakka Noodles and paneer tikka masala and garlic naan but they need to work on their service, if you order main course and starter together, they either get all order or bring main course first and then starters that is actually makea you ha ha ha ha..

Food is tasty, however menu online is not up to date with prices. What should have cost 65+tax ended up costing $85. The quantity of food is also small. If Cafe Delhi improved the quantities and updated the pricing online, I would have no hesitation in rating them 4 stars.

They consistently fail in service. If the restaurant closes at 2.30 pm, you cant place orders over phone after 2.00 pm. The line is kept busy. Takeouts wont be ready at the specified time either. I always end up waiting another 20 minutes after I get there.

I love this place. It is my favorite restaurant in Carnegie. I think it is one of the best Indian restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. IMO, it is right up there with India Garden in Oakland. The Mango Chicken and Spinach Chicken dishes are my favorite!

We took goat and chicken biryani last week end . Even though the biryani rice is good , chicken pieces are worst in taste & Mutton is not boiled at all and we just dumped them to dust bin and left with just eating rice. overall we are disappointed.

I have never had a bad experience eating here. I have numerous friends that go out of their way to get their takeout for lunch. Ive never had a complaint or heard one from any of my friends that have eaten there. I suggest it to all my friends.

Try to order in phone and they put me on phone for more than 10 minutes without taking order and disconnected. When I directly went there, they told closed and could not take the order and it was only 5 minute late. bad customer support

Yumm Yumm Yumm. We (group of 5) went here for two consecutive days and ordered different dishes on both the days. Ordered pepper chicken, desi chicken wings, cut mirchi, chettinadu chicken- to name a few. All the dishes were good.

Its very crowded. Biryani is good but chats are not very great. The place can be more clean. This restaurant has parking lot. The restrooms are neat. Staff is friendly. Took a star off because of the long wait time for any dish.
