My wife and I chose Iron Bridge Wine Company as the venue to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary and we are ecstatic that we did! After making the reservation through Open Table, I was able to follow a link to order flowers to the table. I made a call to Iron Bridge a week in advance to let them know the flowers were coming and to request a private table for our romantic evening. During my brief conversation with the gentleman who answered my phone call, I may have mentioned that we would be celebrating an anniversary. Much to our surprise, when we arrived at the restaurant, not only were we greeted with congratulations by the hostess, but the flowers were perfectly placed on the best table in the house, accompanied by a card signed by the evenings waitstaff! This was just the first of many little details that Iron Bridge staff took care of to help us feel special that evening. Our server, Jason, was polite, attentive, and knowledgeable, recommending dishes and drinks along the way. He started us off with two glasses of bubbly, on the house. He shared little tidbits about the menu with us, such as the fact that one of the restaurants managers homebrewed his own tonic syrup which made their signature gin and tonic the best my wife has ever had. We started with crispy calamari and pork cheek (the special appetizer of the day). Both were absolutely delicious. We shared the brussel sprouts side dish, by far the best we ever tasted. The carraway mustard spice provided a nice bite and they were crispy, as advertised. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked burger, topped with duck pastrami and kim chi slaw accompanied by handcut fries, while my wife had the pork porterhouse which came with a rich mac and cheese. We heard the creme brulee was the best this side of Paris and we were not disappointed. Overall, our dining experience was exactly what we had hoped for and we made a vow to return every year for our anniversary. Thank you Iron Bridge Wine Company!

Well I set out to have dinner with my niece, she had said this place was very good, little did I know how right she was. As I was travelling and she was working I was early, very early. After waiting a bit in the parking lot I needed to utilize the facilities and went inside. It was early and the place was setup for dinner, however only a few people were here. I said I would be waiting about an hour and did not want to clog up a table. The staff insisted I take a table to wait inside and started bringing munchies and more. I had to be careful what ate, lest there would be no space for dinner. After we finally got together we had several small plates. It was Incredible. The Mezze plate was a nice mix for flavors and tickled me for sure. Next, the the Heirloom tomato salad. I love tomatoes and this was a very nice mix of tomatoes with a light tangy dressing, and I would surely have this again whence I return to the area. A grilled flat bread pizza finished us off and although I am a big fan of thick crusts, I found this to be a perfectly concocted combination of flavors to wrap up our meal. Thank you Iron Bridge.

They really need a class in customer service. The server charged me for someone elses bill and its still not fixed with the credit card company. In addition, I was given a red envelope with a mystery discount to use up. I noticed that I could not use it until after January. I am away for 6 month on the world cruise, so I politely asked the server if I could use it before I went away. She then got a manger or possibly an owner to come to the table and said very sarcastically, "So I hear that you are out of the country for a nine months or something". My friend said, "She is away for 6 months." The worker/owner then said," Well I can let you use your envelope as it would not be fair to anyone else and If I make an exception for you, then I have to for everyone else." It was not so much what was said but how it was said. Both me and my friend who raves about how much she loves that place said she would not go back. That person had no idea what tone he used and when I looked around the room, I am certain my table was not the only one annoyed by that response.

This has traditionally been our favorite place to stop when doing the drive to and from DC --> Philly (which we do for family quite often). Weve been going there for years, even before their expansion gave them more room and they had other locations in far away places in VA. As vegetarians, they always have options for us (they always serve one meat, one fish, and one vegetarian meal). Their prices are, well, a bit high, but I have never once left there sad from the food, the wine, the dessert, or the overall experience. Yes, it can get crowded; for us that simply adds to the charm. They now have OpenTable reservations which is fantastic (before you had to just wing it, as reservations werent allowed). This is a gem to find out of any large city. Across from a sheep farm makes the hustle and bustle of DC/Baltimore/I95 go away. Its a great place for a meal before going to Merriweather Post Pavillion too! All around upscale experience, off the beaten path, and a great selection of wines! 5 star in our book!

We went to Iron Bridge after our courthouse wedding and the staff there knocked the ball out of the park! Our party of 16 was treated like royalty! The servers were all incredibly attentive and seemed genuinely excited to be a part of our celebration. They started our dinner off with a Cava toast, were able to handle scaling up the appetizer orders for our table without us having to think about it, and the food was hot, amazing, and served at the same time. They brought out a gluten free dessert for a guest with Celiacs disease while the rest of us were cutting the wedding cake (we didnt even have to ask, they just didnt want the guest left out). They were able to accommodate her dietary restrictions with no problems throughout the whole meal and understood that cross-contamination would have been a problem. Ive been on dates at Iron Bridge before and always enjoyed myself, but the restaurant will forever more hold such a special place in my heart for how wonderful they made our wedding dinner!

Amazing place, amazing people, amazing food, amazing wine! I first visited this place around June 10, 2016 and since then Ive been about 7 other times. Its just outstanding - seriously. My first experience was no good, especially dining with a friend that rated it so highly. Well, the manger corrected that in no time and in a better way than I would have imagined. Though I was still hesitant, I went back, (thats correct, I can be quite particular and not easily convinced to give a second try) I returned for my birthday no less, shortly after. Well, it was a FLAWLESS b-day celebration and one I will not forget! Since then, Ive enjoyed the "regular" experience :D about 6 other times, including a couple of days ago, and I already have another reservation on the books thats around the corner. :D. Dont get it twisted, the "regular" experience is outstanding. ;)
