Went there to night with my husband and three month old son. My roast beef sandwich was very dry and not edible the owner demanded that I pay for it even though I didnt even eat a quarter of it. Then proceeded to yell at me but I always complain. The first time I complained was because my mother steak was bleeding red and she asked for it well done they brought her a second steak and it was still made medium rare. Then two weeks ago my chicken sandwich was dry I took a bite and didnt want the mill anymore ended up going to McDonalds and getting McChickens so tonight I ordered there Triple Decker Roast Beef & Swiss sandwich and it was dry and so long story short he bumped into my three month olds car seat trying to get out the door because I told him that if hes not going to take that charge off my bill then he can comp my entire bill.. I tried to give him my name and my phone number to give the police and it was a crazy to waste their time over sound so I went in and I paid for the rest of the mill except the sandwich and told him that I should punch him in the f****** face for bumping my 3 Month Olds car seat he then proceeded to get into my face I got into his face I dropped the money on the ground right in front of them walked out and they called me a b**** crazy

Last night we went to Starlight Diner for the 1st time ever. A nice double date for Valentines Day. When we first arrived we were seated with a smile and ask for a beverage. I thought wow this place looks nice. The entire staff had to have been 30 and under. The salad left something to be desired, bunch of lettuce with one cucumber, tomato and an onion. My friends meatballs were raw, we were told they were all prepared that way so they would all be the same way. Garlic bread was ice cold with her meal and her husband waited 30 minutes for a refill to wash down his overcooked veal. My steak was dry and tough and my husbands steak was pure fat. I normally dont complain but when more than 1 thing was wrong there was a problem. I didnt have to pay for my steak and my friends meatballs were taken off her bill. I will never eat at Starlight Diner again or recommend this to anyone.

Restaurant dirty. Sat 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. Took two people to take drink order before we finally got anything. Food came quickly but looked like it was someones leftovers that were warned up in the microwave. Also had to ask for silverware. While paying the bill and asked how it was....we answered honestly. Service was terrible. Waitress answer was "sorry...I was busy". Manager could not ...or would not....even come speak with us. Suposedly he was in the kitchen cooking and "to busy". Funny thing is....it really was not that busy. It was a Tuesday evening @6:30. Not a return trip in my future.

In the past my wife and i visited the starlight diner twice a week. Now we go less than twice a month. The service has really gone downhill. I dont know what has changed but whatever it is it has changed for the worse. The past 4 times we have been there the food was over cooked, our waitress would much rather hang out with her friends than do her job. It is really sad...i loved eating there, now i will not be returning. 4 times crappy service and food in a row? Yeah i am all done with that. Was just there this evening and it was not an enjoyable experience.

HONESTLY!I judged a book by its cover on this one! I was thinking I was going to walk in to an average diner,but after walking out my whole view of StarLight Diner left me not only fully satisfied with the food but the hospitalily is amazing.Waitress was very polite and always came to us with a beautiful smile.the food was hot,delicious and came very fast. I live an hour away from here and boy is it worth the drive. Definitely coming back to this place

Clean, nice service, great prices. Skip the prime rib, it was just OK. The French onion soup is the best Ive had, the desert menu was amazing, something for everyone here. The 50s music was turned up a bit loud for my taste. My hubby really enjoyed his roast beef with gravy and stuffing, green beans, and mashed potatoes. We plan to go back while we are in town! Our server was a bit ditzy about refills. Nice, but ditzy. :)

Ive been coming here for a couple years now and all I can say is this: BEST DINER IN HANOVER PA. I recommend the Santa Fe Berger Deluxe. I almost always get it. The Prime rib here is also very good. My wife enjoys the Gyros. The service is always great here, they treat you like family. Definitely a great place to eat no matter what the occasion!

Worst place ever!.. Food was horrible and not as described! Server was snooty when a complaint was made saying "no one else complained" and was less than helpful! We asked for a manager and received a 3.00 news paper coupon and no manager came to the table.. Server stated "well its 3.00" Save yourself and your tastebuds..eat somewhere else..

This has been the only "must go" place for my wife and I in the Hanover for years now. Go for breakfast and be amazed at the price, quality, and speed at which they serve you. It may be no frills, but the staff are friendly and efficient, coffee stays filled, and you can easily have breakfast for two for less than $15.

Stopped here on way to DC , best breakfast I have had in years!!!! And the size of the meal was huge, I couldnt finish it!!!And the price was ridiculously low!!! After seeing the bill and the way our server treated us I had to leave a 100% tip. Staff very very friendly, I will make sure I make time to stop here again.

Average diner food. Nice wait staff. Ordered BLT and Tuna Melt. BLT came without the tomatoes. Wait Staff brought 2 slices of what looked like winter greenhouse tomatoes. Bacon was well done and looked like bacon bites. Tuna Melt came without cheese which was listed on the menu. This diner was clean and kid friendly.

We mostly go for breakfast with a few lunches and the occasional desert. The food is always the right temperature, quick and fresh. With the exception of their pumpkin pancakes Ive never been disappointed. Prices are great, food is a good portion. The people are friendly... atmosphere is pleasing to the soul.

Food was decent. However, was pretty upset that waitress asked me if I wanted to upgrade my chips to fries & then charged me for a whole thing of fries on top of the whole price of my meal that included two sides, I did not get... Theyre just looking to make a penny. Not provide good customer service.

My friend and I split a meal. We each got a salad. It came on a plate about the size of a saucer. I asked for a plate to put it on and got a soup bowl. When the meal came we asked for another plate. We were told it would be an extra charge. I can not recommend this place.
