So I went here with my wife after a movie due to a Groupon and the ideal location, but the only reason Im not giving them a 1 star is because the food was palatable. I use the term palatable because everything we got was over-cooked and bland. My burger (the Eggspectation Burger) was ordered medium rare and came out right around medium well. That alone wouldnt wreck a burger to me, but the fact that I had to eat it with a fork and knife because it was dripping with grease did, especially when the beef tasted like it was about the quality (if not a step below) what I can find at the local chain grocery stores. My wife ordered the Bayou Benedict, and it was smothered in more sauce than food...probably because the food (especially the chicken itself) was overcooked and bland as well. The same is true for the fries that came with my burger and her potatoes as well. I ordered an over-priced beer (the amber ale...I forget the name) from their incredibly limited "craft beer" menu. I home-brew and can honestly say that the beer was acceptable, but nothing Id care to order again at that price. Knock a couple bucks off (charge what you would for Budweiser) and youd probably be right on par. Now for the real reason I recommend no one go there...the "bag tax". For anyone that isnt aware, this county has a bag tax (5 cents on every bag from grocery stores and take out). We ate in and found a bag tax of $6.50 on our bill (the equivalent of 130 bags). When we asked about it we were told it happens all the time and that theyd go fix it. When the waitress returned with our check, she said the manager couldnt figure out how to fix it, so instead hed just removed something from our order. What he removed was worth more than the bag tax, but that just left a sour taste in my mouth, especially since he didnt come out and say anything to us himself. Even after the appetizer was removed...the food is overpriced for what you get from it. If you know that youre having a problem like that, you should be checking every bill you hand out to make sure you arent screwing your customers. I shudder to think how many people have paid the extra "Bag Tax" because they dont look closely at their bills. All in all I wouldnt return because I can make far better food at home for much less, and the whole incident with the "Bag Tax" makes both myself and my wife wonder if theyre scamming their more innocent customers left and right.

I went here the other night with a friend for her birthday, she said she wanted to go because she had never been and she wanted to have a new dinning experience. WORST IDEA EVER! When we arrived we all ordered their smoothies (we all order a different smoothie and it was about five of us) all of the smoothies taste like smashed up bananas. Upon ordering I requested to have the Drunken Pork Chop, but they were out. So I then changed my order to the steak and fries like everyone else at the table. It was about an hour wait for our food though we were the only ones there. She finally came with our salads which lacked in cheese and dressing. She came out with three orders or the steak and fries and I LIE TO YOU NOT the steak was smaller then my phone (iphone 6+) if not almost the same size. Thats when I requested to change my order and the waitress told me " you get what you get, this is your meal for the night". I tole the waitress that I didnt want the meal and she went to the back to get me some "Lobster Mac and Cheese" (Which is probably the best thing on their menu) the waitress came out 30 mins later and told me they were out of lobster so I ask for the "Land and Sea Pasta" she then comes back another 30 mins later and says they are out of every pasta and every sauce. I ask for my original plate and she hands me my miniature BURNT, ROUGH, DRY, AND FLAVORLESS steak. Thinking back on it I was better off asking for a refund. I would never go back, On a good note the red velvet for my friends birthday was really good.

Watch out for that bag tax! They charged us 6.50 in bag tax for food we ate there and didnt take any leftovers of (equivalent of 130 bags as bag tax in MD is 5 cents per). We caught it and they said "it happens all the time" and they couldnt fix it so they comped our appetizer. Sounds like a lot of other customers are overcharged and they dont check the receipts before giving them out! Additionally they charged more than the MD 9 percent tax for alcohol (14.49 in drinks and they charged 1.89 tax... thats 13 percent!) Food was ok, it was rich without any exciting or bold flavors, we werent really excited by the Bayou Benedict or the Eggspectation Burger (which was ordered medium rare and came out medium well) the Firecracker Shrimp was pretty good if youre willing to risk being scammed by false taxes on the final bill.

Its alright, honestly. Really, it is. Good prices on drinks, especially for the area, friendly staff... but its undercut by the location and speed of service. Air conditioning and heating both fail intermittently, so its hit or miss whether youll even be able to handle eating there on a given day. The layout is... awkward, and ambiance makes you feel like youre outside which (coupled with greatly fluctuating temperatures, 50F - 90F) kind of puts you on edge if youre just trying to have dinner. Food options are surprisingly good, and an astonishing variety. Despite the name, no, they dont just serve eggs (a lot of people Ive invited there asks this). All in all, its good if you want to have a cocktail, but the speed of service (chef and bar, not wait staff) make it too much trouble to bother having a meal.

Visited on May 30th at about 6 pm. Service walking in the door was great, immediately seated in a booth. Order for beverages were prompt. What was unexpected were the mice running around in the restaurant. YES - true and correct. First sighting was only a tail so I really was unsure, second was ANOTHER mice running along the wall, under the table of people that were eating. My party immediately got up to leave and we discreetly whispered to the 4, yes 4 ladies standing at the podium that there were mice in the dining area - response - Oh, okay, they must have come in from outside. Thank you - Seriously that was her conversation. No we are sorry, how will we ever redeem your business or even concerned that there were other patrons eating.

The southern belle cocktail i had was delicious the food was fine. I had the lobster omelette. The favor was very good and the hollendaise they put on it was exquisite. The food came out very quickly. But the potatoes were cold and i asked the waiter to have them reheated. When the plate returned the omelette was warmer but the potatoes were the same temp. And i could tell the reheat overcooked the lobster. I would have complained more but i hadnt eaten all day and i started dipping the potatoes in the hollendaise which was good enough to cover up the underwhelming potatoes. I felt like i gave far too muchof a tip (22%) but Im a nice person...
