Its unfortunate this place started off poorly because itll be difficult for it to recover from those initial poor reviews. I went here early in its opening and it simply was very mediocre food. In the time since then theyve really improved and are now a solid ramen place but might get glossed over because of the rating. My favorites here are the tan tan men, tsukumen, and spicy tuna don (which I usually get as part of the ramen combination). The tan tan men is delicious with a nice spicy kick. The ground chicken that comes with it goes great together with the pickled mustard plant. It captured everything I liked about the Mooncat Ramen tan tan men but with a more interesting profile. The tsukumen was a nice surprise. The chashu comes nicely seared and the broth has fatty chunks of pork keeping it flavorful. The tonkotsu and miso are nothing to rave about, but are solid offerings. Before Tengoku the Arcadia spots were dominated by Yushoken (locations previous tenant), Daikokuya (now moved to South El Monte), and Yukinoya. Compared to Yukinoya I would say Tengoku has a better offering overall.

Got the spicy miso and the chicken karage pair. I like the broth and the overall texture of the noodles. A few flaws with the dish, the corn was fresh cut so it has a raw taste to it when I chew on it, I think it should be roasted a bit before cutting to bring out more sweetness of the corn and also get rid of the raw vegi taste. The pork slices were too mushy and the fat to meat ratio was off. The chicken karage has good flavor and their sauce was nice but it was cooked about a min too long so the outside coating got hard instead of crunchy.

This a new ramen spot that replaced a ramen spot that was already here. I had the tsukumen ramen which was surprisingly good since most of the other ramen here isnt too great. This is an offshoot of Kabuki restaurant group and it is definitely a nice place to go to and definitely a place to grab a quick bite. There ramen isnt he best but its worth a try or to kick a craving

We drove 20 min to try this place. Their google page says they close at 3:00. Walk in at 2:30 and they are closed, wouldnt serve us. Wouldnt honor their own listing (apparently they changed their hours but didnt bother to update the places where people actually look for hours). Come on guys, pay attention. A new business should be on top of this basic stuff.
