Wynn Buffet* report: *From a vegans perspective Price: C- ($$) The $45/ person price tag is probably a steal for meat eaters, maybe even vegetarians. Crab legs, oysters, prime rib, sushi, fried chicken... I could go on. But maybe not entirely worth it for a vegan. If you can justify the price for the experience rather than actual food consumption you might have an easier time shelling over the cash. Variety: B- There was a decent amount of vegan options at best. For all the hype, from vegan bloggers, you wouldve thought they had tons of options. Salad bar was minimal and there wasnt a single vegan soup, even the minestrone had meat. Lots of Asian (typical) and they had vegan spring rolls... um YUM! But youd think they would have taken advantage of some quick wins. Street taco station but no tofu or veggie options! They did have some veggie dishes, roasted carrots, broccoli rabe, etc. But again, missed out on some quick wins for vegans, why not leave the bacon OFF the veggie dish? They did have 3 options for vegan dessert though, assorted sorbet, a soy-based ice cream, and a vegan passion fruit tapioca parfait. Nothing chocolate or baked. Bummer. Quality: A While there wasnt a "buffet-load" of options for vegans, the food we did eat was delicious. I mainly stuck to the same few items and ate just enough to feel satisfied that I somewhat got my moneys worth but didnt hate myself for it. My plates consisted of veggie lo mien, vegan spring rolls, spicy green bean and tofu, veggie sushi, Spanish rice (I love me some rice), and a spring pea salad. For dessert: one parfait (it was miniature) and a small scoop of soy mint chocolate chip ice cream. Informational: C- I know Steve Wynn doesnt personally oversee the Wynn Buffet food labeling, but being a vegan youd think he would appreciate the importance of labeling food. It appeared as if they started the process of identifying allergens or calling out vegan options and then decided to quit halfway through. There would be one label that specially called out Dairy and then another right next to it that had nothing in the name that would explicitly make a person assume it had dairy and no dairy label, but when I asked the attendant they said it had butter. There would be a few items that said vegan on the label and then others that would be (or at least very much appear to be) that would NOT be labeled vegan. All or nothing , I say... Because if you only label some things Im scared to eat anything thats not labeled vegan. And as much as I wouldve loved to devour at plate of vegan spring rolls and vegan passion fruit parfait... I have to assume that the lettuce and other salad options were vegan as well. If not, what did you do the lettuce? Overall: B- If youre looking for a "Vegas buffet" experience, Id say its a good options for vegans. If youre looking for great vegan food, Id say youre better off going to one of the many great restaurants that while not offering a wide selection, have fantastic vegan (or easily made vegan, vegetarian) food.

NOT worth the wait and the money. Avoid it at all cost please! I am not sure why many good reviews. If you know something about good food, then Golden Corral is five times better than The Buffet at Wynn. We just finished the buffet on Christmas eve. We were thoroughly disappointed, and that is a understatement. All of our five family members gave a thumb down, zero or one star. We paid $44 something pp for lunch/dinner on Dec. 24th. Given this is a holiday, we dont mind the price. We were so looking forward to this top-rated buffet that we were disappointed in every single way. First of all, the taste - not much. Every single dish we tried is horrible. Wife said, how can you get a meatloaf wrong, and they did. How can you get a steak wrong, and they did. How can you get a grilled salmon wrong, and they did. I couldnt remember a single item that is worth trying the second time. If I can speak to the chief chef, Id say - go back to school and get better. Second, the selection - many filler items, and no real good dishes. They mark every single sauce an item, go figure. The desert is a disaster. Not much fruit either. Third, the service - Oh, the worst I have every experienced. At the counter, you need to pay first before being seated. I opted to put 16% tips on my credit card - big mistake. The server left our table unattended for 15 minutes, I mean the dirty plates and empty glassed kept piling up, but our server is no where to be seen. When he finally came, I told him he should have collected the dirty plate more often, he said if you need anything please just call me. Come on, I am expected to signal my server every time there is a dirty plate on my table? I would have spoken to a manager to get my 30 dollars tips back had I been mean enough. Oh well, it is Christmas eve, I just couldnt do it to the server even though it was that bad. The decor may be worth 20 to 30 dollars, considering how bad the buffet was. I commend Wynn for being able to attract hundreds of willing customers with such a bad buffet. I know, they dont care for returning customers as there is enough tourists to sustain their profit. By the way, I only write reviews when I am too happy about a product or service or too unhappy. In this case I was so upset I had to speak out to warn my fellow travelers. I should have asked for my money back.

The Buffet is in Wynn Hotel offers various dishes that customers from all around world could enjoy the fine dining experience. Particularly line of menu are long and well presented. If you like pasta, seafoods, steak, or vegetarian dishes, you name it the buffet have the exact ones or similar kinds. Even though the buffet offer long line of attractive dishes, some of them are not cooked well or have the great taste like other high-end restaurants would offer in that price range. Servers who serve drinks are well mannered and very friendly: however you may find servers nearby food table area who serve steak or refill foods might be busy talking to themselves and less responsive to customers request. Such a restaurant in one of the best hotels in Las Vegas, I would expect the better service or, at least, have the professionalism from serves in the kitchen or food table area. • Service: Below average (compare to other high-end buffet or local restaurants in Las Vegas hotels) • Price: Pricy as all high-end restaurants would (you may find discount coupons from local discount shops) • Atmosphere: Excellent (very nice and well presented) • Food Quality: average for seafoods (remember you are in desert area not by ocean side) and great for dessert (wide range of selection for dessert). • Parking: Valet parking is available or self parking in Wynn hotel garage • Avoid factor: Make sure to leave some room for dessert. Be patient with serves nearby food table if they are busy talking to each other. Steak and meats area, servers may not be well responsive or friendly. • Recommendation: Try their dessert (better than advertised seafoods – in my opinion their seafoods are overrated).

Wynn This was the first time for my husband and I eating at The Buffet at the Wynn and after reading reviews were excited to try it (We were staying at the Wynn for 3 nights for part of our honeymoon). Entrance was inviting beautiful flowers, tables and chairs looked the part. As you were taken round the corner the tables, chairs and carpet looked a drab. It felt like you were walking into a 2 star hotel buffet not a 5 star. Tables and seating areas looked tired and worn, everything about it looked un-smart and dated. I was So disappointed with this buffet!!! Food was not good at all, a few things looked tasty but when you went to eat them they were tasteless and horrible, a lot of food items tasted like it had been standing around too long, un-fresh, nothing stood out or excited you, also something I went to eat tasted funny/off. Nothing really jumped out at me with excitement. Desserts were all show too, looked great but really didnt taste too good. Verdict Wont be eating here again, glad we didnt win a free buffet in the hotel. Over rated and over priced!!!!!! Love the hotel, buffet needs a refurb and new chefs. PLUS: The Ladies in pink who showed you to your seat looked very smart and servers were very helpful and kept eating areas clean. Recommend Mirage and Cosmopolitan buffets. 1 of other thing, My husband and I very nearly held our wedding reception here at the buffet 14 days ago. We ended up choosing the wicked spoon in the end at the cosmopolitan (decor and ambience excellent, a restaurant feel, food was excellent! (Little bit pricier though!)
