This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Grandview-Upper Arlington area! They deliver within a 3+ mile radius of the restaurant for only $2 and are always willing to do a special request! Their NEWest traditional Chinese menu is DYNOMITE! Especially the Young Chow Fried Rice or Shredded Pork with ChillI Peppers as well as their vegetarian Ma La Green Beans and Eggplant with Garlic Sauce (hint: thats what they call their Szechuan style sauce)! Even their Americanized Chinese tastes AH-MAZING and so fresh! The chefs are all 100% authentic Chinese professionals... we have eaten here for over 8 years and they always remember our orders and my family petsonally! Try to remember the language barrier too before writing a scathing review people!

Best crab rangoon in the city, at least out of the Chinese places I have tried. Food-wise, tastes about the same as the microwaved Chinese meals from Aldi...which isnt a bad thing, as they taste pretty good. But $6.50 for what tastes like a microwaved meal? You do get a rather good-sized portion for the price, but its still way more than Asian Express charges for their (superior) entrees, so I dont really feel like this offers a great value. Overall, Id go again for the crab rangoon alone, and I definitely wouldnt be against trying a different entree next time (I got the General Tsos). Good, but not great.

Honestly, its hard to find Chinese food places that deliver in the area. (The only other place I ordered from informed me that I was no longer within their delivery zone.) Im not thrilled about the food, but its decent. Its a little bland in flavor, but overall the texture is nice. I always order the family style fried tofu and Im happy that there isnt a gelatinous film on everything (as Ive seen from other small Chinese restaurants). The people are friendly and its awesome that they deliver. On the downside, its a little annoying that theyve NEVER given me chopsticks, even when I specifically ask.

Had two extremely negative experiences with this restaurant, and will never order their food again. The first time, the food was cold and they forgot to put the sauce on my sweet and sour tofu....which is pretty much the whole point of sweet and sour tofu....because tofu is not delicious. Although, it is usually OK fried, but both times I tried to order fried tofu from this restaurant it was rubbery and old. "Now," you might say, "be fair, tofu is always rubbery." BUT! My boyfriend ordered honey chicken and that was rubbery and old, too, so Im not making this up. Their fried bread is delicious.

I have ordered from this place many times and was bragging to my co workers about it. They were always nice fun excellent food and good prices. This time the guy on the phone was rude, they said 30-45 min and were there in 20. How they cooked it that fast is a mystery until I opened it. The food was horrible. looked like it was someone elses old meal and they were unable to follow simple instructions or request this time. I will not order from them again. Everyone is entitled to a mistake but rude, bad food and not do what they said they would. Do not waste your time or money.

Happy House is not so happy. It is a sad house full of tears and broken dreams. I ordered General Tsos chicken and loomein and orange chicken. They gave us the wrong order, and came 1.666 repeating hours late. They refused to reimburse us and hung up on us. And BTW our food was cold and they gave it to the wrong person. Overall I give my service experience a negative 5 out of 5. But in reality the food tasted pretty good although it was cold which is really concerning because it should not be room temperature. p.s. i stained my shirt and it wont come out

The food here is very generic Ive had better tasting in a mall.Occasionally Ill see them in here eating and it doesnt look like the junk they serve. Im a little surprised that the Grandview neighborhood embraces this place ,their phone was ringing off the hook and very busy .Im from the east coast and do have high standards but their food is nothing better than mediocre. Anyway Id have to be starving and everything closed before Id ever go back .Im just one person with an opinion try it for yourself and then decide.

The chicken tasted like candy... I order a Curry Chicken Large... and i got the large with farily good amount of chicken, but the bad part is the chicken did not I repeat did not taste like curry instead it tasted a lot like just pure sugar added to the chicken. My friend ordered a General Tsos chicken, and the funny part is, it tasted just like my curry chicken... Wasted about 10 bucks of my money for the large curry chicken. The leftovers are definitely going to the dog... or the homeless people in high street.

Very unhappy! I ordered online and gave a tip with my payment, however when they delivered my food the receipt said in big letters PRE-TIP AMOUNT so I thought something went wrong and gave the same amount as I originally had. When I looked at my email conformation the amount was the same as the receipt with my tip included! So these cheapskates got a double tip! AND they didnt even give me a fortune cookie!! Plus they had dark brown (almost black) lettuce which was disgusting! Very displeased with Happy House!!

As a none picky eater it is very bad when I say I would not recommend this to anyone. To save the book I could write about this I will keep to a few things. Extremely unprofessional staff and questionably "clean" eating space. Food tasted very artificial, I HOPE it was only some sort of added flavor or preservative but I felt very sick afterwards. Please stay away

I used to work in German Village, and the weekly Chinese lunch place was Happy Dragon. Now that weve moved to Grandview, our new place is Happy House, and boy is it good! I agree with Cyxn that its a little sweet, but I like it that way and my General Tsos is NEVER dry (unlike at the Dragon). With $5.25 lunch combos made in ~5 minutes, you cant beat it!

Absolutely awful. I got the bbq pork with fried rice. The rice was just slightly brown, absolutely tasteless. No veggies or egg or otherwise in it. Just plain "brown" rice. The pork was awful. Overcooked and very slightly tasting of Chinese bbq. Honestly, the "Chinese food" you get at a food court in any mall is better than this.

Been here many times. Ive never had anything bad here- always quite good for the "fast food" prices. There are some Chinese restaurants that are better; but Id recommend Happy House for a small place. Seems to be a little wait when ordering, but its worth it when they fix everything one order at a time (fresh).

When I tried to order online for a specific time delivery, the website would only let me order an hour from when I placed it; however, the food came much earlier than expected, and the delivery guy pressured me to give a cash tip. I will not be ordering from here again.

Just started working in the Grandview area and found Happy House through Urbanspoon. While not the best Chinese out there, the food is fresh, the rice is moist, the staff is friendly, the place is clean, and their lunch special prices are hard to beat.
