My return visit to the House of Hunan was very disappointing to say the least. Ive been dinning with the HOH for years. Always giving it rave reviews. Alwsys being satisfied with the food as well as the service. What was different today? You tell me? Id like to know as well..... My self and 2 guest dined around 5pm. I ordered Hunan Chicken, was supposed to be spicy, was quit bland and the chicken was tough. My Grand Daughter ordered General Tos chicken that was also bland and cold, and very dry. My niece ordered garlic hot chicken that was spice less and the chicken was tough as well. Waitress didnt know the menue, and didnt offer soup, brought water for a lemonade refill. And crunchy noodles for an order of Chow Main. The 3 of us took 90 percent of our meals home. Wast of almost $50. Im totally shocked! And my 2 first experience guest will probably not return. So egg on my & your face House of Hunan.

House of Humana used to have the best General Tsos chicken around. Now it is absolute garbage. Ive had it four or five times take out and dine in and it has sucked!! I inquired about this at the restaurant and staff told me the old chef left and they now have a new chef. The STAFF even said the food quality and taste is worse with the new guy!! With all of the other reviews on here in the past year, Id say the owners must not care about or keep up with their restaurant. It really is sad when my familys favorite Chinese place in town has far inferior food to Hong Kong Buffet. Get it together guys!

Food was tasteless, the "beef" was like chewing on a slimy piece of rubber. When I sent it back asking for a different order, the waitress acted like it wasnt reasonable that I was sending it back because the food tasted and smelled bad then felt the need to come back and say that the chef "was not happy that I sent it back" and wanted me to pay for the sent back meal. I will never return and advise anyone else to spend their money elsewhere

Our family is open to trying new things in town. We were told that House of Hunan is good, so we decided to try it. We did not like the taste of the general Tsos chicken or the sesame chicken. We decided to box it and leave and realized how expensive it was. $32 for the two plates of chicken and three drinks. Not only were we upset with our food, but we had an outrageous bill!

Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten! Tasteless hot and sour soup, bland General Tsos Chicken. The entire meal was extremely disappointing. While paying the bill, we were asked how everything was, we said "not good". The cashiers response? "Awwwe" while she took our money!!! Needless to say we will NEVER go back! Neither should anyone else! Terrible food!

Dont order the general so they have no idea how to make it every other place Ive made it its good I ate it there and it tastes like ketchup and mustard with rice and I think I had a chicken with it or something like that but it was horrible and then I told them that I will go to Hong Kong Buffet because Hong Kong Buffet rules

Frank the new Chef changed the recipe on the hot and sour soup !!!!!lets just call it sour ....I have been eating here for years and was always able to order food extra extra spicy now it never gets extra spicy. The staff is awesome and they get customer service right but the cook yikes

Have been going there for years & for the first time I was really disappointed with the food. There were 4 in our group and everyone was dissatisfied. Must have a new chef - we probably wont go back. A shame to ruin one of the few good places in Marion to eat.

How I have missed this place! Thank God the General Tsos hasnt changed a bit. Perfect chicken, perfectly cooked, perfectly spicy, perfect service and perfect price for lunch. What more can you ask for. Thats what makes this a Marion tradition.

The hot and sour soup was too peppery (no red pepper flakes)..... the Mongolian beef had no flavor. the water was good. Over staffed. I would suggest cutting down on staff and using that expense to put into the quality of the food.

My Brother and I love this place. We enjoy it for the prompt service, the friendly staff, and the great food. A couple personal favorites are the Crab Ragoon, Egg Drop Soup, shrimp lo mein, Cashew Chicken, And General Tsos chicken.

One of the best Asian style restaurants I have ever visited. Although it seams a bit crowded, I always enjoy my visits. The food is very good. I highly recommend the General Tsos chicken (add extra sauce) with pot stickers.

Been coming here over 8 years. Great service is expected and received most visits. Everything on the menu is excellent, but maybe not the same as at other places. The scallops and shrimp are typically perfect in texture.

Delicious and genuine Chinese food - for more than 30 years! Right on the edge of town as you head South. The service is very friendly, and there is always a good crowd (but rarely a wait for a table). Good prices as well.

Found a bug in my food just a few minutes ago. Will be taking it to the health department. Ruined my kids dinner. Not sure what type of bug but it had 2 pin striped on the back looked like a baby roach to me. Pitifully
