Today, Sunday, October 4 I and two friends had lunch at Inyo. We ordered the Tuna Pizza, spicy lady roll, volcano roll, and the block roll. The food was good. While finishing up lunch we noticed that are faces and chest got extremely hot. One lady had to run to the restroom realizing she had stomach pains and extreme diarrhea. She came back to the table telling us her chest is bright red when she looked in the mirror. Looking at my chest she said my chest was fire red. We all got up to leave and had to stop in the restroom all having diarrhea. At this point all of our faces and chest were bright red and hot as fire. We walked out the restaurant for fresh air. Got into the car and called and asked for the manager. We spoke to the manager at the time, Meghan, just to let her know that something is wrong with the food and to specifically not serve the tuna to any other customers today. However, she constantly laughed at us and only said "so, what do you want me to do for you?" It is not a funny situation to laugh at customers who obviously got food poisoning. We then became angry and ended the call. Its been 5 hours since and we have each gone to the bathroom 6+ times having diarrhea. We have been coming to this restaurant for 4+ years and will never step foot in it again. Not only because of the poisoning but also for the lack of empathy provided by the working manager, Meghan; and the extremely horrible customer service. We will move forward to contact the health department and better business burrow in the morning. Thank you for the extremely horrible experience.

INYO in Ferndale used to be one of my favorite places to enjoy excellent food and drinks, first class customer service and great ambiance. It was until Friday, August 11. My sister and I have enjoyed countless "girls night out" dinners at this location in the past, so we expected the same on Friday, choosing INYO over trying several other new restaurant options in Ferndale or Royal Oak. Worst mistake we made that night. Our waitress Christy was horrible, unattentive, no attention to detail, slow, full of excuses why the drinks were slow in being made, never checked back to see if we needed anything the entire night and she never told us her name. After flagging the manager and other waiters down to request her presence back to our table several times, another waiter gave us her name. After waiting an hour for our drinks and even longer for the appetizer and entrees, I have to say the food was still as awesome as expected. If only the service could have been half as good. I am not sure if there is new Management in place or just a very complacent staff, but the level of service is completely unacceptable to me and my sister. I hope this was just a fluke and not the new normal. I would love to put this restaurant back on my favorites list.

We went for a friends going away party. During 30 minutes of waiting to order, we told our waitress 4 separate times we were ready to order and she walked away from us. In addition to that, we waited an additional THREE HOURS for our food. We had reservations at 8:30 and did not get our food until 11p. All the food came at separate times, none of us got to eat together. The sushi with cooked components came out before the vegetarian food and the only excuse they had was "we dont have enough sushi chefs tonight". Not a good excuse for a brand new packed to the hilt restaurant on a Friday night. I have never had a worse dining experience in my life. They did not even offer us salads to tide us over for our sushi.....THREE HOURS!!! for food. We were going to order a pizza to the restaurant, it would have gotten there before our sushi. Ridiculous and a shame. At the end of the night, they gave us 10% off coupon for our next visit. I wouldnt go there again if they gave me a free meal.

This experience has been horrible. The service had been subpar at best and Im certain I would have received better service from a McDonalds with a 2 yr old as a server. I was here an hr and no drinks were served. It took over 1 hr for UNCOOKED sushi to be served. I havent had COOKED food take that long. To make matters worse: The manager on duty, Lindsay understood they were doing a horrible job and took no liberty to change the circumstances. Her smart remarks made after we informed her of our disservice were unwelcomed and I will NEVER eat at this establishment again. Deonte is rude as well . We watched Jenna provide the best service to multiple tables next to us. It is unfortunate that she was not our server. Nothing but excuses were given and no opportunity was seized to make the situation better. Stay away from this place and go to the West Bloomfield location if possible

I absolutely love the decor, the people, and the service at the Ferndale location. The menu caters to a variety of tastebuds with Signature Martinis to compliment the meal. The staff and management are well versed and trained in their respective roles and very professional. Customers expressing custom needs, complaints, or concerns are met with patience and excellent service. I have loved this place since opening and am a loyal patron. Please visit and have a Signature Experience. Most importantly, Emily the manager is a perfect fit for her position. She is a leader with a keen sight for detail and customer service.

My husband and I went there for brunch today. The mimosas were good but it pretty much stopped there. I dont think they have trained sushi chefs working, our sashimi platter was just chunks of meat that were unrecognizable. They were understaffed so it took about an hour and a half to get our main course – the chefs choice sushi – sashimi platter. We specifically asked for only raw meat In whatever rolls they gave us, when the dish came it was all imitation crab meat. That is not sushi. We were very very disappointed. Our server however was very good and took very good care of us the best that he was able.

Slowest service Ive ever received. I could have caught the fish and laid it on a platter myself. (Dinner took 2:45hrs, thank goodness for good company.) The hostess- Stalked around our table, looking like a creeper. The water boy- Was the only person who did his job The waiter (Miguel)- Was inattentive and useless. The cooks- Uhhh wheres my food? Did you run out of soy sauce (Oh wait that actually happened at our table, and youre a sushi resto)? I think you could get better service at White Castle. Yeah i just said that. Not worth your money And mostly your time

Love the food, pricey but good. This has been a favorite sushi spot for me and my family for a long time. Its pretty sad that lately the dining experience has been declining. Our visit yesterday was probably the worst so far. Staff dropping dishes and cursing loudly, we had to send someone looking for our server several times and asked for things more than once throughout the visit, among other things. Im not sure if they are overworked but I really hope that things improve or we will be looking for a new favorite very soon.
