By far, the worst Chinese food Ive had anywhere. To the degree that Im concerned for people who left 5-star reviews; they may never have eaten actual food before. The service is good, the price is great, the portions are fine, and the place is clean, BUT: the frying oil is usually old and tastes like everything else, the spring/egg rolls are so sour I couldnt finish them, the fried rice bears more in common with coffee-soaked cardboard pellets than its namesake, the chicken in their chicken fried rice looks, tastes, and feels like poorly made jerky, the chicken in the dishes looks to be the trimmings of what youd usually make food out of, the sauce was basically a sweet syrup, and overall the spicing was non-existent. Ive only had three dishes there, but by far the worst was the General Tsaos Chicken. My entire order was a single long string of battered & fried fat pockets connected together with gristle. The entire order. One long string of just that. I couldnt even pull them apart at the break with my fork. I struggled through about 1/4 of it, and threw the rest of it away, dry bland fried rice and sour egg roll included. Do yourself a favor, do the extra driving, go to Wings Garden in Oak Park. Its just a few more minutes down the road. Ive been going there for 17 years and love it.

I lived in Pennsylvania for a few years, and I was really surprised that the quality and style of the Chinese food there was superior to that in Michigan. It seemed to me that every Chinese restaurant in the area would throw the meat and vegetables together and smother them in oyster sauce. Thats one good way to ruin otherwise excellent food. Therefore, I was elated to find China One and their incredible Chinese food. Its made in the same style that I fell in love with in Pennsylvania. Every dish Ive tried so far has met my expectations, and I proudly recommend them to all of my friends in the area. Theyre always quick with the order. I live about 5 minutes away, and I call my order in before I leave. Its usually ready by the time I get there. The prices are very acceptable for what you get. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top notch Chinese food at a great price.

Food here is terrible. Ordered lobster fried rice and shrimp with lobster sauce. The fried rice had a mix of lobster pieces (which were chewy and tasted like they came out of the microwave) and crabmeat substitute. The shrimp with lobster sauce had 6 pieces of shrimp in it for a quart size serving. I would also highly question why they would call it lobster sauce when it tasted like salt soup with egg whites. I also ordered the food extra spicy and it was the blandest crap I ever tasted. To top everything off, the young girl at the counter is rude and acts like you are a inconvenience by being in her restaurant. I highly regret ordering here AND double regret leaving a tip for this overpriced garbage. I will never order food here again and encourage anyone to avoid wasting your time. Sunny Thai up at Gardenia and John R is so much better.

Really disappointed.. apparently on sunday, the lunch portions are not orderable.. so I had a dinner combination platter of Sesame chicken and an order of fried potstickers.. my dumplings are flat, my rice has zero flavor and in the photo on the menu board, the plate is surrounded by broccoli in a cute circle.. my plate came with two piece of broccoli. The only good thing was the portion size is enormous, then again I had yo order a dinner portion for lunch. Will not be back. Also, the enrolls are just pure cabbage, which isnt my thing. Yikes!

My wife and I get take out at least once a month from this fantastic mom & pop store. You can tell its a family joint, and the owner always has a smile - when she is not working like crazy! The food is out of this world - the wonton soup is perfect and a bargain at $2.50. I also recommend almond boneless chicken (perfect with brown sauce, fried rice and veggies) and the chef special Garlic Ribs are divine with their black bean & garlic sauce (be sure to get fried rice, the white rice provided doesnt really work with the ribs).

So I have eaten here before while stuck at work and it was passable... This was the worst chinese food Ive ever had. My coworker said his gen tso was good/decent meat. I ordered mine at the same time... I had to throw out half of my chicken because it was boney, full of tendons and disgusting. It was as if they took a chicken and gave him the white and edible meat and fried up whatever was left for me.

If you like fried up food with cheap but tasty sauces, this is for you. If you like fancy chinese food with thick, quality sauces and taste, this is definately not for you. Ive had undercooked chicken here that was nasty. I go here often in a pinch because its close. Its like the McDonalds of chinese food. But still kind of pricey. Its not bad, but Ive had a lot better.

We ordered a large number of appetizers and main dishes, the food was ready much faster than I had expected! Everything was hot and delicious and the prices are quite reasonable. The only trouble I had was in understanding the person on the phone. We will be getting food from here the next time we are craving some Chinese food!

I love theres shrimp foo young, but before you leave always check and make sure you have your gravy because they sometimes forget to give you everything and when you come back they look at you like you are crazy and dont understand what youre saying one of the young ladies that service you most of the time.

Ive eaten here before with no problem but when I went here and got takeout 2 days ago, there were 2 long hairs entangled in my food. Very disappointed. It only takes one bad experience for me to never go to a place and eat there again and that was it for me ever visiting this place again.

I think all these low star reviews are mistaking this place for a classy sit down joint...you get what you pay for. this is fast food chinese food. its fast and cheap. if i want better quality, ill go to a sit-down restaurant. when i want something quick and late, this is my go to.

Great price the 5 dollar lunch special cant be beat. Portion size is huge fit the price. But the food overall is just ok. But you get what you pay for. Stick with general Tao or sweet and sour with any soup and you cant go wrong

Too bad I had to pick a star to leave a message because they would of gotten a 0 for customers service. I call and asked if they deliver and the lady "no ok" and hung up. How rude . I was going to order but never mined.
