A sign in the window advertised Vietnamese Sandwiches. The decor was more minimal than minimal. Bare white tile floor, a few tables, fluorescent lighting, a cheesy lighted display on the wall showcasing some of specialties, Vietnamese music videos on a small TV in the back (the music was mostly sappy sounding ballads sung by passionate young men). But the food was the focus, and the food was very good. Wife ordered bun cha, a dish of grilled pork, rice noodles and fresh veggies, a dish we learned about from the Vietnam episode of No Reservations. I opted for a more soupy dish; it too had bun in the name, but I can’t remember the whole thing (it was like 6 words, man). Anyway, it was a big bowl of a very delicious broth, the same rice noodles, thin slices of beef, green onions, and a side plate of fresh mint, bean sprouts, red cabbage and lime to add at your leisure. The broth was perfect, both savory and sour. The bowl did include something we found out to be “pork roll” as well, but I didn’t like the consistency of those, so I took those out. But no big deal. The rest was excellent. I also ordered a BBQ pork sandwich to go, which I just ate. It had BBQ pork, shredded carrot, a couple chilies, a slice of cucumber, on a French roll. Very good.

Just a real surprise! Ok... not a fancy schmancy eatery, with white linens and all. But quality food, for real. Dont be afraid, walk in! Affordable? Yes! Delectable? Yes! Quite different from what youre used? You bet! Why? Because youre looking for healthy food, light on the wallet (or is it "rightsized on the wallet"?) If you care about whats in a meal, youll care going there. Dresscode? Quite casual. The chef really cares about what he serves, not for the monthly bottom line but for the food experience he brings to the clientele (which has, Im sure, quite a few regulars). My wife and I had a Mì xào dòn each - its known as birds nest in some places, due to the crispy, deep fried noodles that form the bottom of the plate where the proteins (beef, pork, chicken and a variety of seafood - yeah, I know, sounds like everything BUT the kitchen sink, right?) sit with vegetables, and its just sooo good. The chef tells me this is usually a holiday meal (and with the previous description, I am ashamed I actually ate my entire order...) Oh, of course, they do have Bánh Mì and Phở, and also the ever popular Ice Coffee... Cant wait to go back!

I know this is highly rated by locals but I used to eat Vietnamese pho every week out on the West coast and Ive had better. Im surprised they dont offer different cuts of meat, like tripe, tendon, and varying degrees of doneness like Ive had at more traditional Vietnamese restaurants. I would have like more flavor in the beef broth and more fresh vegetables. I only got sprouts and basil, no lime or cilantro. I also ordered the Vietnamese coffee and part of the charm is they usually serve you the drip press and condensed milk on the side. Here, they give you the Styrofoam cup with it already made. The only plus here is they are vegetarian friendly.

Ive been to different Vietnamese locations for pho but this place is the best around Metro Detroit! The broth is so rich and their meatballs has a wonderful taste to it. Your order comes with thai basil, lime, japapeños and bean sprouts on the side and to those who like spicy food just like me try to add some sriracha sauce to your bowl for some extra kick. But I wish they could add more meat though and even when I ask for extra meat which is $3 extra it seems like it wasnt still enough but that is fine by me. This place is small and has limited sitting but it is worth the wait even during their busiest hours.

Ive tried many of the other Vietnamese restaurants around but none of them hold a light to Que Huong. You wont be disappointing. Every friend I have brought here has raved about how good it is. I have come eat here least once a week to get my fix. Henry and his wife are very nice and want you to have a great meal. I never thought I would be able to eat up to the extra large (freaking mixing bowl) but now its the norm.

This is the go to place for Bahn Mi in the metro detroit area. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and they dont hold back on the pate. Theyre great. Their pho and traditional vietnamese dishes are good as well, but the sandwiches here are the best. The one thing is that there always seems to be a change in ownership that substitutes either wide rice noodles or thin rice noodles.

Their pho is very sweet - Im guessing they add quite a bit of sugar to their broth. Tried their Vietnamese coffee as well, which is made with condensed milk. In addition to being cloyingly sweet, it had a bit of a tang. Thats not what fresh coffee and milk tastes like. Eeew!!! The only reason why I would go back is to find out the color of their walls. That was nice.

Que Huong is the absolute BEST restaurant in the Detroit area for Pho Soup. Although we have been eating here for many years, we continue to try any place that serves Pho, and compare it to Que Huong. No other in the area compares! The ingredients are quality, and we have friendly, efficient service every time we visit. Order Pho #10 and you wont be disappointed.

Love this place. They also offer XL bowls. Its small, busy, lots of regulars, families and happy faces. Lots of carryout orders. Not sure if the waiter is the owner but hes super friendly and accommodating. The pho is solid and the viet coffee is good too. The spring rolls have a slight kick of curry to them. It could be cleaner but thats just how these places are.

Yummy Vietnamese food. We got pho and bun, both were good. Also we got a fried quail dish which was really tasty and I would recommend, although avoid if you dont like eating meat off the bone. Fruit smoothies are fresh. I got kiwi, and it was a bit sour but it shows the freshness since kiwi is not really in season right now (July, Detroit). Id go back again.

Hands own some of the best pho and bun bo hue in the area. The only negatives are a very small dining room and theyre always busy. Also, if you arent Asian and you order a very traditional dish, be sure to ask to have it the Asian way. For example, they may leave the blood cake and trotter out of your bun bo hue if you dont Asian for it.

Great little restaurant with a family runned feel. The food is outstanding, Pho and mi soups have the best broth. restroom is a little awkward, but come for the food not the bathroom! The owner works his butt off int he kitchen and the it translates to a very tastee experience. Get there early there are only about ten four top tables.

Hands down best Vietnamese in the Metro area. The pho is just stupid good. Beyond words. Nice selection of speciality items, appetizers, and entrées. Not much to look at, the restaurant is small and cramped and the décor is ... well, nothing worth talking about. But that pho, it just doesnt get any better. Anywhere.
