Staff was excellent. Other than that food was horrible. It cant even pass for chinese, authentic or americanized. I ordered the infamous egg rolls, which was over powered with cinnamon for whatever reason. Ordered general tsos dinner and never received soup. The chicken was essentially mcdonalds chicken nuggets. The sauce had zero heat and was very sweet. It wasnt tossed in a wok, rather just fried with sauce drizzled over it. Also we got bread and butter as an appetizer? Very strange. The greeter was very welcoming and professional. The waitress was courteous and friendly. But I would never pay for food there again. I dont see what the hype is about. I was done after three bites.

I have been eating at this place since I was a kid and they were in the old building beside the motel! I love this place! The ribs are the best! Wonton soup the best! Great egg rolls! My son got to share the sweet and sour chicken with my dad like I did when I was a kid! Great memories! I love the hot tea! I remember when I used to share one with my dad until I started drinking it all and he made me get my own! I was quite young maybe 8! This place will always be in my heart no matter the location! Im partial to the other location with red carpet and Asian decor! Maybe thats because thats where so many childhood memories were made!

Something has changed. We visited with friends out of town. Told them this was the best place on this side of town for oriental food.. The general tso chicken was flavor less, the steak not any better ( that we understand its not a steak house) my garlic chicken was rubber. And not garlic chicken. And a few other things were bad as well, management needs to make sure thier servers are sober, while taking care of your customers. Some oders, like the ones that grow natural are not wanted to be smelled, while paying good money for food. Sadly, we wont be back again.. Wish this place all the luck.

Excellent food and service. My neighbor had pineapple duck and raved about it. I had chicken subgum chop suey, not my favorite but got it because of the damn ulcer. We shared potstickers and egg rolls. The potstickers and egg rolls were so good I got Drew an order to go so his GF could give them a try. Drew was kind enough to do Alisons lawn today in Columbus while she continues to work odd hours for some cash and I took him to a late lunch. It is worth a repeat performance. I will be back. Yum. Yeah, worked well with my edema. Lolol. At least I didnt add soy sauce.

This is truly the best Chinese restaurant in all of Columbus. I have been eating here since I was a little kid and its still what I think of as the ultimate comfort food. My favorite meal is the War Su Upp with the combination appetizer and won ton soup which will last about three meals. When I want Chinese, I will drive past MANY Chinese restaurants to go to the Ding Ho (or as I called it as a kid...the "Ho" ...long before that term meant something else completely). Ironically, they also have very good American food as well as the Chinese food.

NOPE! I ordered the garlic chicken lunch. I suppose it would have nice to have some garlic in there instead of the dirty dishwater that they were trying to pass off as sauce. The chicken was way overcooked and tasteless. The rice tasted like cardboard, and the egg roll was... I dont know wtf that was? Also, change your oil more than once per year if youre going to be frying foods. I tried to finish my meal, but I couldnt. And Ill eat just about anything. That was the worst "Chinese food" Ive ever ingested.

Very friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food! Best egg rolls in Columbus!!! Chinese food is my favorite cuisine and I just moved to Columbus in April. Ive tried out a lot of places and while the food was pretty good at several places, I love a good pork egg roll. These guys are the best in town in my opinion. The food is also great and the staff are always so nice and friendly. Cant believe they have been in business for 60 years. Well actually, I CAN believe it with how great this place is.

Ding Ho serves Americanized Chinese food. For those looking for an authentic experience, this isnt for you. However, if youre looking for good, Americanized Chinese at a reasonable price, Ding Ho is the place. Egg rolls and wonton soup are two great reasons to give Ding Ho a try - they are fabulous. A personal favorite is BBQ Shrimp; an odd dish, but delicious! Ding Ho has many regulars! A food snob wont enjoy Ding Ho but it is a Columbus institution and favorite.

I had heard so much about Ding Hos over the years so today I decided to go try it I ordered General Tsos chicken lunch special it was $7.50 I figured this should be good if it cost that much I got my food went back to work started eating my food and IT WAS HORRIBLE the eggroll was cooked in dirty grease and it was filled with cinnamon it taste fowl and the chicken the same $7.50 for that I should get my $$ back I would never recommend this place to anyone

I have been going to Ding Ho since 1970. The won-ton soup is DELICIOUS. Whenever I am in town, I get extra to take home. Their won-ton soup is the best I have ever had and no other restaurant has ever come close to their recipe. Their egg rolls are also delicious as well as their War Su Gai. It drives me crazy that I live so far away and can only get it when I return to the Midwest to visit my family. Beth Huston

First time ordering from here and not a very good experience with their food. Crab rangoon filling tasted chunky and flavorless, general tsos (which my husband has to get from every Chinese restaurant we order from) had a horrible flavor in the sauce. Didnt remotely taste like others or have any spiciness. Egg rolls were ok (about the only thing) and fried rice seemed a little overly cooked. Wont order from again.

We moved here to the West side of Columbus about 1 year ago. Didnt really know where to go, tried a few Chinese restaurants and didnt like any. Then we found Ding Ho and havent ordered anywhere else ever since. There are days when I dont want to cook and thats when I order there and we have never been disappointing. Its not your typical everything-tastes-the same-buffet place. Its a great restaurant with great food.
