My best friend and I decided to try this very beautiful looking bar as a first stop on our much needed night out. As we had never been before, we decided to look around first (as much as you can on a busy Saturday night) before we went to the bar. Now, we are unaccustomed to the finer side of beer brewing and "fancy beer" as we like to call it, but we decided to give it a try. To put it in the mildest of terms, the bartender was rude. Not knowing the selections that were offered, we decided to name a beer we were most familiar with...Corona. The bartender (with the knottiest of top knots) yelled at us, and I quote, "We have NO MEXICAN BEERS"! (Emphasis his). This was quite embarrasing as we clearly had no menu in front of us and the guests in the immediate area stared at us. As if we had the audacity to order such a low brow brew. We were offended to say the least because we had not planned to go through a list of Mexican beers, hoping to find at least one. My best friend (who is Puerto Rican but can be mistaken for Mexican in the right light) asked if they carried another non-Mexican beer and bartender, exasperated at this point, shouted no and looked as if he wanted to boot us himself. So we asked for a suggestion. He pointed to the wall that, on the other side, had a list of beers and said "This is what we have". As you hopefully come to assume, we left. 10/10 for atmosphere. 0/10 for customer service. 0/10 for slight racism. It could have been our fault for coming on a busy night, but as I live in Michigan I only get to see my best friend once in a while. Anways, I liked the vine and openers of the bar, but I couldve done with much better customer service.

Nice space, but the food and service left much to be desired. Just a note... The menu says they offer gluten free and vegan options (coded GF & V respectively). There are only two dishes I saw on the menu with that code: their house salad and ice cream. Unless you have dishes (more than one salad) designed to be gluten free or vegan, dont bother with the label. Otherwise, its a very nice space. I see they diversify and are open to community events. It really helps nurture and unite the burgeoning cultural scene of Ohio City, and Cleveland as a whole. Its amazing for small businesses to do this. Its what I love about Cleveland. The owners are very active on this Google page. It seems like youre open minded. This review is meant as honest customer feedback and I hope its received as such. Would return and would recommend the space. All the best.

Terrible experience!.. Surprised bc i have been there before in the late evening just for drinks and had a fantastic time. This time we stopped for drinks and dinner... The service was very unfriendly, no one was even smiling.. Almost as if they were annoyed. My mother ordered an iced tea and it was just dropped off as the server was walking by with no communication involved at the drop off. We ordered the philly cheese steak and the bread was rock hard.. We could not finish it... And to top it off the guy (whom was not our server.. W the understanding that some restaurants have food runners) was not happy or smiling either! nor did he speak. The four of us that were there did not feel "welcomed" at all!

The food was good. Im pretty sure the hamburger patty was frozen; nevertheless, the burger was still really good. Fresh beef would have been amazing. The beer sampler is really nice to have. I found the Boulder beer shake there, and it is one of my new favorite beers. They had a smoked porter that rocked as well. The service was mediocre at best. I would have given five stars if the server was at least attentive. We barely seen her the times through out our meal. We had to flag another server down to order more beer twice. My wife and I will probably go back a second time, but not a third if we get similar service. We all have bad days. Maybe that is what was going on with our waitress.

My boyfriend and I stopped in this placed yesterday for dinner and were beyond disappointed . Service was terrible, very unfriendly staff. No smiles , food was basically dropped on the table with no regard for customer service. No one ever asked my boyfriend if he needed a refill on his iced tea , my fries were cold and the philly style steak sandwich was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted . My boyfriends burger was dry . All around terrible experience! ( if I could give this place 0 stars I would)

If I could leave zero stars I would. We showed up at 1245 on a Sunday. Were greeted by a nice enough host. Then we sat the the table for over fifteen minutes without being spoken to or addressed further. No one greeted us, or came to take our order. Eventually the hostess came and brought water and said shed send someone over. No one ever came. Just left. Atrocious service. There were multiple people just meandering around ignoring us. Wow.

Took a really long wait to get service. It was later at night, just before midnight on a Saturday, but it wasnt that busy. I had to fight to make an order many times. Also the chicken nuggets I got after waiting so long I was about leave, were not very good. It was honestly a 1-2 star experience, but I have a lot of faith that this is normally a really good establishment, that I cant write it off yet from my first bad experience.

Fantastic indoor and outdoor space to enjoy a few beers with friends. The patio space has a unique beach bar vibe despite being in the middle of Ohio City which is pretty tough to pull off. Their home brews are solid but nothing fancy and their service is inline with your average bar. Generally, the crowd here is young professionals but youll see some college kids here too.

Great place. Very good beer selection. Went on Sunday around 12. Had a brunch menu not full dinner menu. Wake and Bake burger was very good. Have to give complements to the staff. Very friendly and responsive. Seemed that everyone pitched in to make a great experience. Always great to have good service. Cant wait to be back in Cleveland.

Very slow and unattentive service... On a beer tour with the tour guide making a reservation the day before with a very unappreciative acknowledgement. Upon arrival, surprised bartender and hostess did as little as possible and didnt let us know when the table for eleven was setup. Extremely slow and disgruntled service. I doubt Ill be back.

Beer is good, food is good. Arrived at 12:30am on a Tuesday and it is very apparent that the bartender is dismayed at our arrival. She is verbally expressing her frustration quite loudly, and it is very discomforting. We would stay for more than one drink if we felt more comfortable.

Its hard to find a really good veggie burger but I really like theirs - it is made out of blackeyed peas (its a bean burger). Others in our party liked the other burgers including the one w peanut butter. Its small and intimate and reasonably priced. Love Ohio City and this place.
