I was pumped to try out BarCento for dinner last Friday with a group of friends. I ordered a side of spaghetti squash and the Bianco pizza. After all of my friends received their food about 25 minutes after placing their order, it took an additional 20 before mine and another friends arrived. We were very polite when the man brought them out. He let us know they would also be on the house, because "it was the right thing to do." I was excited and so pleased with the service at that point. It wasnt until after I paid that I realized the pizza was still included on the bill. The drink I ordered cost $2 more what was marked on the menu, and I was overcharged by about $5 on top of that. I later returned to Bar Cento that same day to mention it, and see if I could receive a partial refund of the money I was owed, based on what the I was told prior about "the right thing" and the overall cost of the meal. Luckily when I arrived, the same man who stated my pizza would be taken off the bill was right there. I explained my situation, and he very quickly said that he remembered. He then stated that he definitely took the pizza off of a bill, but one of my friends may have been dishonest and received their pizza for free instead. Though he offered a quick sorry, he was entirely unhelpful in even examining my bill and the mistakes made. The man offered no further help or explanation. I take a serious amount of pride in Clevelands local restaurants and businesses, and I am extremely disappointed by the treatment I received when I followed up on this series of mistakes. I expected a far better experience.

I went here for new years eve and what an atrocious experience that was. First of all we called in advance to make sure we could accommodate some of the vegetarians in our party. they assured us wed be fine.so after we arrived they said they absolutely would not modify the menu for vegetarian. with no options we were going to leave and only then would they change their tone. Next came the food. The salad was, I promise you, two tablespoons. Next the main entree was either a maybe 1 inch by 1 inch piece of sea bass, or beef tenderlion, or two fingerling potatoes and a tablespoon of mushrooms. We finished each course in maybe two minutes. Desert was very unimpressive as well, bland and dry chocolate cake. To top it all off someone in our party ordered a Christmas ale for 7.50 and got some weak tasteless $5 pilsner. When we asked politely if they could charge the lower of the two they said there was nothing they could do. In the end the cheapest bill was $60 for one dinner vegetarian dinner (charged the same as the others), 20% gratuity. To add to it all when we were walking out we saw other customers ordering from the regular menu. Terrible customer service. Mediocre food. Ill never return here again. Strongly discourage going.

This was my second time in Ohio City upon visiting Bar Cento. The layout of the complex was very metropolitan and modern in the sense that there were canopy like enclosures scattered throughout. The bar is located in the back of the building and takes up the majority of floor space. Again, very modern and trendy. I wasnt sure whether or not Bar Cento was like neighboring beer gardens in Ohio City in the sense that there wouldnt be many cocktail options. The menu doesnt feature many, so one would have to have prior knowledge of what to order. The bartender will make mixed drinks that are not on the menu, which I liked. I ordered a mojito, mimosa and vodka with redbull, all of which were expertly crafted. The bartender that night really knew what he was doing which was refreshing. We had just come from another location where the barista made our cocktails with 100% liquor, and Im not even exaggerating. A fight did break out at one point between two people, but cops had already been on location prior to the fight. *ironically?* It was a really nice experience nonetheless and I would return, the drinks were that good.

Barcento missed the mark, as a first time customer tonight. They have a lot of good ideas with the dishes that my girlfriend and I ordered, but i feel they try to hard to be fine cuisiny and not on what tastes good. I had a sunnyside up, egg pizza(13$), which was good, but could have been better. rather than three sunny side eggs on top of the pizza, I think it would have tasted better had the eggs been scrambled and put onto the crust before the pizza was baked. The eggs were very overpowering on top the pizza and kind of made me think I was eating breakfast. Also the pizza had a lot of pepper on it, a lot. My girlfriend had some kind of baked chicken entree(17$) and it was really nothing to it. Nothing special. I also had fries, which were good but had rosemary tossed all over them, it was raining rosemary tonight. I just didnt get what sort of identity Bar Cento was going for.

If it was possible to give a zero, I would. Four of us went here and were told it would be about a 45 minute wait for a table. Not bad, especially for a Saturday night, so we went and ordered some drinks. Fast forward to two hours later and we still didnt have a table. When we asked about it, we were told that "people have been sitting here for three hours and just wont leave." Heres an idea: Ask them to leave. I watched a four top sit, their food in to-go boxes, for AN HOUR and not order anything else. Meanwhile, we each had had several drinks AND a dinner left in us, but we ended up going across the street to Market Garden and gave them our money instead. It wouldnt have been as bad if the staff didnt have such a terrible attitude. Seriously, avoid this place at all costs. Beer Engine in Lakewood has a better selection and is significantly cheaper. Not worth the hassle.

Consistently excellent experience! Every time we go to Bar Cento we are very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. Depending on when we plan to eat (we are earlier eaters) we make a judgement call as to whether or not to make a reservation. Our go to items have been the Pommes Frites (havent found better ones yet) and the Sunnyside Pizza. However, everything else weve order has been fantastic as well. Most recently, we had the Ohio Beef Burger and the Spaghetti Bolgnese, both of which had wonderful, natural flavor, letting the core ingredients speak for themselves. When visiting with friends, we always taste each others dishes and have never been disappointed. We have been known to to make a cross town drive from our home in Macedonia for late night eats, just because we have a taste for Bar Cento. Great experience and wonderful value!

Went here on a Wednesday, not busy. Told we could sit anywhere (outside). Tables were dirty, waited over 5min for water from hostess then another 5 min b4 server came over, he did thank us for waiting. Ordered drinks and dinner- a beer and a fancy drink- waited another 10 min for drinks. The server was kind and polite but seemed that he was not experienced or not trained for this type of restaurant. Our group had Beet salad, burger, and charcuterie sandwich. The beet salad was tiny. The charcuterie sandwich had about 2 ounces of meat and both the meat and bun were charred beyond "grill marks". We had been here once b4 on a Sat after an Indians game and had better service and normal portions. Sad when businesses feel they are guaranteed business and dont work for the patrons. I dont recommend this place.
