Here is where I had my first Steak Tartare. The year? - 1986. Those were different times, amigos. Since then, Ive always made it a point to order it on any menu bold enough to include it. But I digress. In 1986 this was Lindburgers. Today, its Brooks Gourmet Burgers & Dogs. Plenty of good backgrounder available online - I recommend checking out the Naples Daily News article on May 10, 2011 as a good start. We (three) came on a Wednesday night in mid-june. While the snow-birds have all but vanished, and the Trail can seem most vacant at 7:30pm, such wasnt the case at Brooks. We arrived nano-seconds after an 11-top, so our wait would be extended. Not bad, they sat us in an impressive 10 minutes. Any time I see lamb available - I will predictably order a Lamb (rare), swiss, tomato and light mayo. Lamb generally means theres a "Greek Burger" around, and I purposely dont order the Greek Burger because of my decades-old boycotting of Feta. (Wife loves it - I hate it). But - let me reign in the South Park and give you the important stuff. 1. You wont find a better burger anywhere. (I didnt say it was the worlds BEST burger - Im just saying that it is at the top level of burgers with only a handful of other equally devoted adherents to this American staple). 2. Come here to get that "of the people" feeling that is thoroughly absent in many of the surrounding restaurants. 3. The beer/wine selection is remarkably broad and deep. 4. The Raspberry Jalapeño is objectively the best shake on Earth. So - yeah. Lindburgers was Legendary (it did, after all, have Tartare on the menu) BUT - Brooks has it beat. There. I said it.

For the longest of time, I thought the name of brooks burgers were bobs burger (probably because of the fact that I watch bobs burgers tbh) Anyway, this is my 5th time coming back here, tucked away in downtown Naples, lies Brooks Burgers. The menu is filled w/ delicious burgers and outrageous hotdogs, a few salads and sides, (dont forget about the shakes!). I love the post WWII design of the cafe .(I dont know whether to call it a cafe or restaurant smh) Its quirky and cool, just different from others. They feature local craft beer and take pride in serving the best burgers and hotdogs. No wonder why their voted in "Top 10 Best Burger Joints in America" Their burgers are simply put, delicious! real home style food none of that crappy second hand thought of burgers and hotdogs. I ordered the veggie burger w/ various toppings and a fruit salad. Our waitress (never asked her name smh) remarked and dubbed me as "The Healthy One" (which is true) and my parents ordered the Naples version of the famous Chicago hot dog and Myrtles four story burger. My veggie burger was nice and crispy, my fruit was well, a fruit salad. My parents thought their meal was delicious, juicy and tender with the juices running down their faces. It was our final night in Naples so we went home with our bellies happy and full. Looking forward to coming here again next year!

We decided on a trip to Naples and, after visiting the really neat botanical gardens, built up an appetite and decided on some burgers for lunch. Upon walking into Brooks, I liked the aviation-themed decor since I work in that field. It was cool to see the wooden aircraft propellers hanging on the wall. Our server walked up and seated us, and I went with the Sandras Hottie burger that comes with cream cheese, jalapenos, and bacon, with a side of tater tots. When our burgers came out I noticed they were a decent size; not huge nor small. The bun was fresh and not flaky, and the burger meat was portioned correctly. I do want to mention that I enjoy a well-seasoned burger that makes the flavor stand out. You know, the worcestershire sauce, cut-up onion, and the correct rub. This burger was more in the zone between bland and mildly seasoned, but I believe that, in a restaurant, it is a smart move. The bacon and jalapeno added some flavor, but I found myself wanting a more robust flavor from the burger so I called in the assistance of ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper...pretty much what I could find at arms length. Tater tots were rockin and our server was polite and on point. I enjoyed our stop in for lunch.

Wow! Now thats a burger. We had a great experience here for lunch. We had aTodds Way burger which has a Fried egg, crispy bacon with American and Provolone cheese. I skipped out on the fries and upgraded to a delicious macaroni and brie cheese. OMG! It was so cheesy and creamy, perfectly baked on top. My boyfriend had the Sandras Hottie, a nice big patty with cream cheese, jalapenos and bacon. He was in love with what I thought was a weird concoction. He said the spiciness of the jalapeno peppers were really complimented by the creamy cream cheese and the crispy bacon. He had his with a side of fries. Their burgers were insanely good! So juicy, perfectly cooked and very filling. I was dying to try the donut burger which has a glazed donut as the buns, but Ill try that next time because I am definitely coming back here. During our visit we saw a lot of people ordering the hot dogs... they are huge! They smelled and looked so good. Service was great and the price was very reasonable. I cant wait to come back.

We are fairly new to Naples. Heard about this place via Groupon and saw that the online reviews were good. Fiance and I went here for late lunch on a rainy weekday. Total mom and pop place. Casual dining for sure, in the best way possible- booths, old bar counter with stools. Waitress was nice and the owner was the one who cooked our burgers, everything was great. I had the Herb- juicy, gooey and topped with a perfectly toasted bun, and an order of cole slaw (not bad!) fiance had the Farm- I didnt even have a chance to get a bite of his, it was gone quick and he wasnt sharing!- and the House Chips- fantastic!!! Microbrew bottles in a cooler and Stella on tap. We were chatting with the waitress and owner for some time. Great experience and one we already look forward to doing again... I already know I want to try the Loaded Baked Potato Burger... or will it be the Pesto and Goat Cheese??? Appetizers sounded great, as did their shakes but we didnt leave room!

I could write another review about how Amazing the food was (which 3 of us ordered different burgers and all were amazing) but it was the personable considerate customer service that blew me away. I called in advance to see if they had Guinness to go with my burger and the owner said they dont have Guinness but have a Milk Stout. When I got there, they were actually out of Milk Stout and the owner didnt know. He felt so bad he ran next door and BOUGHT me a Guinness and said how bad he felt. Wow! That wasnt necessary, as their other beers were great, but how thoughtful! I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys craft style juicy delicious burgers. My hubby got the Korean burger with duck bacon and slaw. My brother got the Donut burger (you guessed it, two donuts in lieu of a bun) and my Western burger was finger-lickin good. All 3 of us left full and satisfied
