This restaurant sounded good from the menu choices and looked nice and rustic because of its location, but unfortunately the food was not very good. We walked in through the main entrance and there was no one at the front desk so we waited for roughly 5-6 minutes before a waitress noticed us standing there and called another waitress to get us a table outside. My family and I were there for dinner and I ordered the Tin City Mixed Fry and my wife ordered the Down Island BBQ Shrimp. Our order was very slow to come out, we waited about 30 minutes after we ordered. So our meals finally get there and my plate was just breaded and deep fried shrimp, grouper and sea scallops with fries. It was pretty much what I expected, except for the fact that the fries came out lukewarm, and the seafood was fried too long as it had a very dark colour and everything was extra crunchy. Everything seemed to have come out of the freezer and dumped into hot oil, nothing fresh about it. The breading on the seafood had no flavour, not even salt. On top of that I didnt get to eat all of my sea scallops as two of them were kind of a dull pinkish colour inside and didnt smell good, must have been old. My wifes plate consisted of bbqd shrimp, spinach and mashed sweet potatoes. The only thing that tasted good was the shrimp, the spinach looked and tasted like it was previously frozen and the sweet potatoes tasted like they came out of a can. The whole thing looked like it was nuked and then they placed the bbqd shrimps on top. I can only say that my expectations of this restaurant were a little high considering the average $22-$25 per plate price, and I wrongly assumed that the seafood would be fresh as the restaurant is in an old fishing community after all. Sadly, we were all disappointed with our meals and will not be returning the next time we are visiting Tin City.

We have lived in Florida for over 50 years and eaten seafood here and in many other states and cities including Georgia, Louisiana, California, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Maine, New York City, and Washington, DC. This was undoubtedly the worst fried shrimp I have ever eaten. Overdone, tough, terrible breading...not one redeeming quality. Even the coleslaw and french fries were less than mediocre. The cost of this beyond disappointing lunch was over $70 and included 2 margueritas, 6 raw oysters (shared between 2 people, adequate size for the oysters, but what can you do to a raw oyster other than poison your customer and we survived), 8 small, overdone shrimp on each of 2 plates, a few fries, and two small cups of coleslaw. Amazing what some business owners will do to cut corners to make a buck. Recommend everyone stay away from this eatery masquerading as a seafood restaurant.

My wife and I decided to try out The Riverwalk after such a great experience at their sister restaurant "The Dock" which was just a short distance away. Well worth the effort. This place was great. We started with the calamari and the aioli was perfect as was the crispy calamari. We then decided to try out the "daily fish market" which had several fresh fish choices plus a sauce and a side which is your choice. It was hard to figure out what we wanted at first but we eventually made up our minds. The fish was so fresh! The sides were excellent and fresh and the sauces were simply divine. What a great Idea! We were too full for dessert from the generous portions the Riverwalk offered and just had coffee to finish our meal. I will come back to Naples just to eat here! Bravo to the chef and great service.

First off, the ambiance was nice. Part of the Tin City area. On the river, boats passing by, walk around deck, nicely lit. Margaritas great, large size. We tried the lobster bisque appetizer, not to my liking, too watery but did have meat and flavor. Linguini was good with lots of seafood and well prepared. I had jumbalya I thought was great and filled with seafood. I got the smaller portion @ $19 and still had to get a box. Service was reasonable at the outside table, not great, our waitress did the required checks. We had Erin at the bar table and she was great. Should have eaten there. I would recommend this place if you are in Naples.

Last night we decided to check out "The Riverwalk Fish & Ale House" located within Tin City. As soon as you walk into this restaurant you will feel like you are at an "authentic old style" waterfront restaurant. With the outside waterfront dining tables to the fishermans wharf style decor. The food was as fresh as it could be I had the Fried Grouper Sandwich and my wife ate a hearty portion of bay scallops. You cannot go wrong with this place great food and an exciting atmosphere to surround you. posted by dining on the bay Your source for dining and entertainment in Naples Florida

We recently went to Riverwalk for lunch. Bottom line... Service is about as good as Steak n Shake... Food is bland and low quality...and prices are unbelievably high. We ordered a kids meal for $10 and all my son got was a very cheap hot dog and mediocre fries. The three adults ordered sandwiches. Total came out to nearly $100!! I would have had abetter meal at Waffle House. Will NEVER go back. (I guess they think they can have such high prices just because they are on the water) AWFUL!!

Nothing special about the food. Tables are undersized for their dishes and our server was grumpy. We were made to set a small packaged item valued at $30 on a chair to make room for 1 appetizer dish and 3 drinks on a supposed 4 seat table. When we forgot the item and called to arrange a pickup, it was already stolen by an employee or thrown away. Our already overpriced meal became $30 more expensive. With all the charm of Naples and great restaurants, I do not recommend this one at all.

The food quality was very uneven. While I enjoyed the BBQ shrimp entree, 3 people in our party ordered the jambalaya and were disappointed in the quality of the meal saying it was bland and watery. The servings were generous. We went with a party of 14 and the design of the restaurant does not have a good setup for a large party. I thought it was a little pricey for the quality of the food. I am not sure I would return when there are so many choices of restaurants in Naples.

Let me first say that I grew up near Pittsburgh and Catholic. The only way to get fresh seafood was to go to Wooleys in the strip district. I remember walking in the front door on Fridays to the strong smell of grocery store fish cooking. So I hate seafood; however, my wife loves it. But I actually enjoy the Ahi Tuna at the Riverwalk as much as a good steak. She loves the salmon. If youre looking for a great seafood dinner in Naples, you must visit the Riverwalk.
