As someone who has been to texas roadhouse very often, I must say its been a mixed experience. As someone who doesnt care for the texas atmosphere, it is almost obnoxiously southern. I get that thats the style for the place, but dear god I have been to greek places that dont shove greece down your throat. The southern/texas style is everywhere, between the music and the "unique" decor (and I say that trying hard to find words to express its tackiness) you BETTER be more than willing to tolerate that, because it is inescapable. The one thing you shouldnt have to tolerate is the unclean conditions of the place. Between peanut shells on the floor and the filthy "decor" it is almost unacceptable. The food can be extremely hit and miss, some items you should avoid entirely where others are consistently fantastic (the rice pilaf is the best side on the menu). But the quality fluctuates. I have even found hair in my food before, however the manager handled it very professionally and swiftly. He got an entirely new steak made and new sides brought to my table. The manager will come by every table to check in at least once. However some of the gimmicky things they do with the rest of the staff is just cringey at best, and horribly uncomfortably awkward at worst. And yes, im looking at you little song and dance number. You cant fake enthusiasm harder than that, even though the poor staff try. That being said have had any bad experiences with the staff myself, but have heard some horror stories that wouldnt surprise me. Personally, this one is a pass for me and I wont return unless im asked to go there by anyone, I wont refuse to go but of my own choice absolutely not.

It was the worse experience I had ever experienced. The waitress was very slow and left us for atleast 20 minutes before returning to the table to take our orders and on top of that we waited aleast a hour for our food to come. I had to ask for refills on my drinks cause the waitress would disappear and not check our glasses for refills. Than after all of that the manager says that there was nothing she could do to accommodate our horrible experience and that she was sorry and the best she could do was give us 10% off our meals...10%?? Really!!!! I guess she didnt think we know what 10% was which was nothing compared to the service we received. We told her no thank you cause we didnt come there for a discount but to receive adequate service and to be treated as value customers. Nothing more or less. She proceeded to give us the 10% discount off on our tickets. We wanted her to understand that we did not feel like that was sufficient enough and if that was all that she could do for us we rather not have anything at all. So since she put it on our tickets we payed what our tickets cost us and we left a 15 dollar tip on the table to make clear a discount is not what we came in her restaurant to receive. We concluded that we would not be returning to that business anymore that there are plenty of restaurants here in town we can go to that appreciate us as customers that took the time to choose them to patriot to. For instance Long Horn Restaurant.

This is a popular spot. I choose to eat here based on previous experiences at a Georgia location. Must have been because of the rain today the place was packed! Hard time finding single seating even at bar area. But a few minutes a spot freed up. Their rolls are delicious as is their cinnamon butter. For my meal I chose a 8oz sirloin with house salad and sweet potato. Ordered the steak medium to medium well. Salad was quick to show up but my server had forgotten to ensure I had silverware. Tracked someone down eventually so I could eat. Steak arrived a while later and upon cutting steak open it was apparently it was well done and tough. Politely asked to have it sent back. Server was gracious as well as the manager who offered me a side dish on the house for the wait. I declined as I wasnt that hungry but appreciated the gesture. Second steak arrived and it was more medium well/well done as after 15 seconds of being cut it turned dark brown. Chose this place as I thought it would be easy good quality steak but cant say I was pleased with my purchase. If you order a steak here and want any flavor highly recommend ordering medium or less otherwise youll have a tough steak. Maybe it was just them being busy. Other than overcooked steak meal was good, they have amazing sweet potatoes and service was acceptable.

I mainly rated this for the good service we received especially for a split large party of 11 ppl including 3 kids 6 and under. Everyone seemed ok with their food I however wasnt pleased with the outcome of my grilled salmon. I asked for it to be cooked charred well beyond culinary standards and it wasnt. Even after sending it back it still was barely a standard grill. I like it dry and usually have to show a picture at any restaurant I go to serving it. Its the only protein source at a roadhouse that I eat. The rice pilaf was salty for me as a person who doesnt eat lots of salt and it had been cooked in chicken broth. So, not a good fit for vegetarian diners. The sweet tea was also mediocre as it had a weak taste and was pretty light in color. The rolls were smaller than usual like mini versions but still good. The sweet potato I exchanged for rice was great and thats without any season or sweetness added. Straight from the oven. Otherwise we had no problems and we ate late had at least a 30-45 minutes wait. Avg wait was 25 minutes in the 830p time frame. Not bad for a busy day and time. Would return if company as a group wanted to otherwise not on my own because Im limited to the salmon I didnt care for. I had bbq sauce added instead of lemon butter for better flavor.

Went here for my brother in-laws birthday we called ahead and had a reservation... Then was told they dont take reservation! It was a large party I think 10 of us. So after waiting an hour and half to be seated we finally went in and ask what to hold up was, They told us it was going to be 5 more minutes. We all wait then the try to set us half the party on one side of the restaurant then half on the other. The host has the nerve to argue with me and YELL at me... I never ever raised my voice I had my small kids with me. I was blown away 2 other girls stand by that worked there laughing at this I ask to speak to the manager and she some how got us all together two tables across from each other but we are before they did. Our food and service was out standing. I would not recommend this place based on the multiple time I have had problems being seated and with waits. Manger never not one said they where sorry and I was not looking for free hand outs but at least say sorry. I never called corporate which I should have but I never did I just wont go back.
