Went to Jimmys lakeside restaurant to try what everyone at work was saying was so great, and to tell you the truth I feel that I wasted my $15. I got my wife the Flounder Special and the fish that was supposed to be filet was full of bones. I ordered red slaw and got white. ( who eats white slaw with fish) then there were no hush puppies. When I said something, the staff got mad and finally gave me red slaw and 2 hush puppies. come on 2 hush puppies!? I got there burger and It was real greasy. The food was about a D- but the rudeness of the staff was enough for me to never grace the doors of that greasy spoon again. And the fries were cooked yesterday. If anyone wants some boney dried flounder go and help yourself

I have been going there for years and love the friendly staff and service . The salt and pepper baby flounder and shrimp is my favorite and their veggies are always wonderful and fresh . Still trying to talk them in to selling their sweet tea by the gallon but no go as of yet . Ask for Michelle , and tell them Bob sent you and dont forget to grab a couple of her homemade no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies on the way out . Finish up with a walk by the lake , this will make Lakeview Family Restaurant a weekly destination for you and your family .

Do not believe Lowell Austin went to same jimmys restaurant that my wife and I frequent on a regular basis---the food has always been very good and the employees are very friendly and courteous / helpful
