The instant you walk into this place, it reminds you of the way diners used to be with that diner smell and decor from a dozen sources. I had what were quite possibly the best french fries Ive had anywhere! The tuna melt was also tasty and well-prepared. The only negatives were the service, which was slow. The waitress was a bit overwhelmed by a large party and may have been tired from the lunchtime rush. I went during a weekday, just after the lunchtime rush. The other negative is they only accept cash payments and didnt make that clear up front. I had enough to pay, but it could easily have been otherwise. I go to another restaurant and the hostess or waiter always make sure to point out that fact before I order. Maybe its on the menu and I just missed it. Just make sure you have enough cash on you to pay! Ill definitely be back!

I have walked and driven by daily since moving to Charlotte in Nov. 2016. My best friend picked me up for lunch and suggested here on her brothers recommendation! Folks, I was pleasantly surprised at every turn! Clean, homey, friendly and comfortable! The menu offers too many choices! I had the Swiss burger with grilled onions on Texas toast(it comes with Rye which I do not care for). It was golden brown with perfectly done sweet grilled onions. I did not leave a crumb! Do not pass this one by!

Very friendly, family restaurant, I and my family eat there often, even when I have friends and family that come into town I always bring them to Lakeside Haven. I have enjoyed every meal that I have had there. Their customer service is an easy 11 out of ten.. I think that Lakeside Haven is one of Rochesters well hidden secrets. And if your looking for a well prepared, fresh meal without the wait time to be seated I would highly recommend Lakeside Haven Family Resturant... Oooooh soooo good !

This place is one of my favorite breakfast diners around. From the welcoming atmosphere to the quick service i will choose them every time. The staff is always friendly and act as if you are family even on your first visit. The food is delicious and always cooked to my liking. Take it from a fat man this is where I go for breakfast

I go here for a late breakfast with my boyfriend all the time. We absolutely love this place. The servers are extremely friendly and fast, the food is always amazing with little wait. Thing is, its cash only, which we kinda like anyway...Perfect place for a homey well-made breakfast or lunch. A must go to place for everyone!

Food could definitely use some improvements, and space is not conducive for a larger family to sit and eat. Also, only takes cash; thats just a big no no in my eyes. All of this could easily be fixed though, and I sincerely hope they do work to improve it because we need a good breakfast spot in Charlotte.

Home made cooking. Enjoy an family atmosphere. Very reasonable and clean! Great variety too. Hostess was the sweetest lady. Coffee tastes high quality. Try it,youll be coming back again! Breakfast is the highlight. Sumptuous Belgium waffles many varieties of sides.
