This was my second time seeing this waterfall. The first time was a year ago, in late May and the flow of water was higher than it was this time at the beginning on July. It was still neat to see how the water flowed over the moss. Not sure if time of year is a big factor in the flow or not. I do recommend going early in the morning, or not on a holiday weekend. Parking is limited, and it will stretch down a one lane road, making it difficult to get through and find a place to park. There is a long set of stairs that climbs almost to the top, then flattens out on a dirt/rock pathway to the bridge looking at the falls. You can go around or under the bridge and climb some rocks to get a better view of the falls.

I enjoyed the food but three stars due to the temperature of the sushi plate(blue crab, cucumber, avacado, cream cheese, massago). The man who made my sushi roll did well. I may be in a little shock though being that is was the first time a person of Non-Asian lineage has made my sushi. Then I has a 3:1 mushroom(halves) to steak (diced too small) ratio and "almost wokd properly" rice. Staff is good for the venue. The chicken is cut into satisfying large bites and tastes great. I know this is the Mountains of NC so I would still suggest going there over the option within a stones throw.

If I could give them NO STARS I would. They dont have any knowledge of sushi..... We were told that imitation crab was raw and raw salmon was cooked. We both ordered the hibachi steak and I promise there was almost enough steak on both plates for one meal. I was so disappointed I will never eat there again and I will feel free to warn others of my experience there. Front of house has no business in the restaurant business at all. If the owner takes any pride in his establishment he would be wise to retrain or restaff the entire restaurant.

Who wouldve thought - sushi in Waynesville? In an area dominated by country barbecue joints, Kobes is refreshing. I now get food here every time I come to nearby Maggie Valley. The portions are generous and the sushi has been fresh every time. Try the Paradise roll. I always get a large order of fried rice too, its a whole three pocket Styrofoam container full!

To be the first major Japanese and sushi place in the area, Kobe is AMAZING. The food is always so fresh, and the sushi never disappoints. The Sylva roll is a great menu item as well as the teriyaki chicken and shrimp. Its also very reasonably priced for the massive amount of food that you receive.

Once again the food is always great but we called for take out tonight and placed a oreder for teriyaki chicken and broccoli and hibachi steak entree and it was wrong we ended up with both being chicken last time we ordered out there we ordered broccoli on both entrees and either had. Grrrrr.

One of the best spots to eat in Waynesville! Great service and such a friendly staff! I would say that if you want a family friendly place to eat at with great service and great food I would say try Kobe before anywhere else!

Kobe is clean, comfortable and has a wonderful staff. As far as their hibachi its some of the best around and their sushi is amazing! The prices are reasonable and we make sure to eat there a couple of times a month.
