Quite possibly the worst "Japanese"/Sushi restaurant Ive ever sampled on 3 continents. (Asia, Europe, NA). I ordered a Habachi Steak w/ two sushi rolls (American Dream & Dinosaur). Habachi Steak - The rice wasnt sticky, like you would expect from a Japanese place. The dish was poorly seasoned and exceedingly salty. The steak: poorly seasoned and unsatisfying. American Dream - Poor quality of tuna. The rice was barely sticky. The roll was small. All the ingredients were pronounced and it didnt taste like a unified piece of work. Dinosaur - Poor quality of eel and salmon. Again, the rice wasnt up to any sushi bars standards. The roll was small. The best part of the "meal" was the ginger dressing salad. Even the miso soup was off, but I cant describe what was lacking. This wasnt worth $32 by a long shot! Whomever has them marked as "$ price" on their menu is insane. The quality and price is better at Shoguns on Brannen Drive. Dont waste your time or money on this place.

When we walked in we were taken to a wet sticky table, the waiter quickly took our drink orders and I had to flag her down to order some wine. Then when she took orders it was rushed as well. I ordered beef udon and a salad. I expected a soup since thats what it usually is. Then she brought out a salad which had a hair in it, I couldnt even tell her because she was busy so I had to tell another waitress about it. And I only got to see her when our entrees came out with my new salad and with "my stir fry udon" which I didnt touch because it was nasty and greasy. She didnt come back until the check and when I asked for a Togo cup for my boyfriends water she was like dont put your wine in it, I didnt want to take that weird tasting wine home anyway. Anyway it was a horrible experience. I will not be coming back.

I wish I could understand the bad reviews. Been going here for 4 years and never had a bad experience. Best sushi in town hands down. (Even better if you go Tuesday evenings for 20% off! Just be sure you understand that the crazy rolls are not included in the discount. ;) ) We get 7 regular rolls and 2 Miso soups (dining for 2) and the total averages at $25 for sushi Tuesdays. I go around 6:30-7 and somehow always beat the dinner rush crowd for awesome seating. Staff has always been really polite, food has never been bad. My only complaint, a tad over priced for their normal foods. However, that could just be my poor college self speaking.

Ordered steak and salmon. Steak was cold salmon looked as if it was from frozen section from grocery store. Very small portions for very large price. Didnt bring out soup for the kids meal because "most kids dont eat it". Sushi was terrible did not look or taste fresh. Size of the roll was a joke. Dont mind paying good prices for good food but this was a $75 mistake, will never be back! Topped it off roach in the bathroom.

Honestly it was terrible. I was so excited, but the rice was cold and the peas in it were still frozen. The vegetables were raw. The shrimp was overlooked. My dates food was raw in the center, not just cold, but raw. Its too expensive for this quality food. Either pay for it cheaper and go to the Panda Express opening across the street or STILL pay for it cheaper and get BETTER food and go to Orchid.

Mediocre Japanese - at best. Teriyaki Chicken was just bland-average, a bit dry-overcooked and the sauce was not good. Seriously, this place is missing a real chef. How does this place deserve a 4-star rating when they have mediocre food and a paucity of beer choices (no Sapporo here and nothing on draft). Thats it for google reviews for me - they have become as unreliable as Yelp and TripAdvisor.

This establishment has some of the best sushi I have ever had. The service is fast and friendly. If you are a fan of jalapeños the jalapeño popper roll is as good as it gets, and their spicy mayo is a fantastic compliment to any roll. The hibachi steak is tender and savory as well as the vegetables. If you are a fan of Japanese food do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant.

The service there was alright until I was disrespected and had an inappropriate comment said to me by a server name Anna. She was very unprofessional. She was trying to insist Im the reason why she dont get any money at the end of the day when she leaves to go home. They only work for tips. She knew that going in to that job. Should have kept looking. Not my fault :)

I dont like shush shush or any fried kitten but this place is great. I come here because they have exotic china beer that actually taste really, really good. The food is really good too so my friends go there for that but like I said I dont eat authentic asian food. The service is perfect, ask for Ivory.

We like the Bento Box with teriyaki chicken. I like to substitute the california roll for the sweet potato roll. They need to clean the restaurant- the decorations on the table are full of dust- that is why I gave it a 3. The sushi rolls are very well done. We like the kamikazi roll because it is fried.

I dont know why people are putting this place down, I love Tokyo! The food is always been great and I have never had bad service. I go here atleast twice a month. I am going there tonight and plan to post some pictures to show people what they are missing.

Food was bland and awful. Wont go back ever. The entire place is covered in dust, made me wonder how much of it I was eating. Also a more than dead fish in the fish tank. Looks like it passed a few weeks ago. Horrible experience all around.

Really the only viable option for sushi in Statesboro, but that doesnt mean its not good. Love going on Tuesdays for discounted sushi. Their chicken fried rice is always a great option too!

Waitress was nice but I paid $15 for a $5 meal to be completely honest. Gave me like 8,000 pieces of edmame and the chicken was very dry. Teriyaki sauce did not taste like teriyaki.

Food seems to be pretty good as I go quite often but some of the waitresses seriously need to learn what customer service is.

Good sushi. The hibachi grilled items are good as well. Not outstanding, but certainly worth a try.
