They previously had a different menu with the absolute best short rib and mushroom ravioli dish, but have since changed it to gnocchi (mushy) with short rib and gorgonzola sauce. Its not anywhere nearly as good as before. Short rib is already rich and soft in texture, gnocchi is also super soft and rich. You then top it off with bleu cheese and its just too much. I wish theyd bring back the old recipe! Other than that one dish, nothing else is really fantastic. Ive had a few entrees that I was disappointed in (chicken and broccoli pasta), Bolognese (needs a major overhaul with lots more seasoning, garlic, etc); and the roasted chicken pasta tasted vaguely similar to a Stouffers pasta TV dinner. The eggplant parmesan is good and probably my favorite thing on the menu today. They need to go over their recipes and bring some authentic Italian flare to the meals they serve, train their hostesses and bring back some of the more loved entrees or at least be able to make it.

I went for Easter brunch and I am sad to say that the Brunch was not as advertised. The selection was not as plentiful as expected based on the $27/person price and what was listed online, nor was the food warm when we arrived just before Noon. When the hostess of our party went to speak to a manager about the disappointment, she was treated very disrespectfully. I love Lafayette Village and this is the first poor experience I have had. I hope this changes in the future.

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience here! We had the sausage stuffed peppers appetizer -a huge portion and wonderful too! We split the smaller portion arugula salad with goat cheese - perfectly seasoned and dressed. Then he got the Chicken Parm and I got the Salmon (just the single sized portions) and we both had lots to take home. The food was very good and the service was wonderful. We would recommend Farina and well be going back!

Took my son here last night. Nice atmosphere, waitress was ok, price for pizza too high. A large pie, half pepperoni, half onion and mushroom, and 1beer (son had water) was $43 without tip. Pizza was good, but not enough to warrant the premium price. I saw on the menu that they offer single prices and platter prices on their entrees. May go back with the rest of the family to try a family style dinner, but definitely wont be back for pizza.

Went for lunch. The lunch menu is small (antipasti, pizza, pasta) but there is a little something for every Italian food fan. The prices were reasonable for the pasta ($12 per dish) and the portions were generous for lunch. The cannolli is so-so. My table had the wings, two pasta dishes, & the cannolli and the bill was $43. One thing I thought was weird is that the meal wasnt served with bread. Im definitely going back to try something else.

Unimpressive. Food was fair, service was poor. Price for entree was reasonable, but price for a Caesar salad to accompany the entree was exorbitant. What Italian restaurant does not offer you a spoon to twirl your pasta or even offer you the opportunity to order coffee and dessert? My water glass was allowed to be totally empty, twice. Certainly enjoyed my time with friends, but I wont return for a meal.

Ugh... We liked the restaurant this one replaced. I ordered chicken marsala and if the sauce wasnt as good as it was I wouldve sent it back. The underside of my chicken was burned, bad. My wife got the Sunday Gracy and it was an sauceless bowl of noodles. The wait staff also wanted nothing to do with us. I guarantee this place will fail if something doesnt change.

The waitress was great... And thats where the good ends. Cant even begin to describe just how bad this place was. The food was cold and tasted awful. The manager wouldnt even come talk to us. Dont waste your money or time. Theyll be out of business in a few weeks if they keep this up. Plenty of better options in Raleigh.

It was our first time going there, I havent liked it a bit, felt like we werent welcome there, our waitress was in a rush, not even a personable hello, no suggestions about the menu. We ordered eggplant parmesan, the spaghetti that came was super salty, So yeah not going there again.

I have been here 3 times now. The bar area is great for sitting or having a nice conversation. The pizza bar is a awesome during a dinner rush, you can watch the skilled kitchen staff craft pizza for an entire restaurant. Staff is friendly and really work hard for their money.

I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. But dang the waitress was not pleasant at all. I will definitely give the restaurant another chance because I really wanted to like it, but for now I am still discouraged at the quality of service.

The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. My family has named this our new celebration restaurant. Not a single family member was dissatisfied or unimpressed with both the service or the food. Great experience!

Amazing food and service! I was visiting from Washington, DC and this restaurant is 5 stars! Everyone was friendly and our waiter Brandon made great recommendations. We had "grandmas meatballs" with pasta and it was great!

The food was pretty great. Lots of variety for pasta dishes. Was able to accommodate a large party without issue. Something about the vibe of the decor felt a little off for an Italian restaurant but overall a great meal.

Had the best lunch here yesterday! Out of many menu selections I tried the mushroom and garlic Parmesan cream pasta that was out of this world. Super service, great atmosphere, reasonable price. Will be back often!

My wife and I go here every month or so. The food is consistently excellent. I particularly like the pizza, which is a thin crust, Neapolitan style pie. Service is always great and they have a nice wine selection.

Nice atmosphere with a bar and seating near the cooking area in addition to the tables. Prices are a bit high for pasta, but our server was very nice.

This is great spot for outdoor dining with kids, with access to a terrace and a good size green space for kids to run around. The pizza is amazing.

Complained about a terrible takeout pizza and was offered replacement plus a gift card. Subsequent orders were just as bad.

Highly recommend the fried mozzarella appetizer. Wednesday nights their wine is half price.

Manicotti was a bit over seasoned for my taste. Pizza was very good though.
