Our server didnt really know the menu items. I asked if there was any type of sauce on the salmon and she described the salmon as "grilled sitting on top of mashed potatoes, with a sauce that is like a gravy but isnt a gravy". I ordered it and it was on top of risotto (it did say that on the menu) and the "gravy" was a drizzle of pesto sauce. I love pesto sauce but the salmon was not fully cooked. I let the server know and she didnt seem to know what to do with it, so asked her if it could be placed back on the grill for a little longer. By the time she brought it back, my mom was already done with her meal and I was over it. I paid for raw salmon that I didnt eat. On a good note, my mother and I shared a salad that was excellent. Moms steak was pretty good.

Decided to make a quick stop for a martini on the way home. Sat at the end of the bar, for 14 minutes and 26 seconds (google gps) while the three male bartenders chatted for more than half that time. 8 left and thats it. Never had good service there ever or their other place next door the black Rose. I spend nearly 500 a week going out in Hendersonville so I am not one of these cheap blue hairs. Looks like its Renzos on a Sunday afternoon or evening. Everything else worthwhile is ckosed.

Waited 5 minutes to be seated because the host wasnt there. When the host finally showed up she was extremely rude. Once we got a table it wasnt cleaned, so we had to ask for it to get wiped down. Waited another 15 minutes to finally get a waitress. Didnt get the free bread and watched people around us who came in after my table (2 people at my table) getting their food and leaving. Over all it was a horrible experience and will not be eating there again.

I have heard good things about this restaurant, so I decided to stop by. This was a very beautiful place, my boyfriend and I felt very comfortable. Our waiter was kind and persistent. My boyfriend ordered a large Calzone and I ordered the Chicken Parmesan- they were both very flavorful and vibrant. I would definitely recommend giving Mezzaluna a try. Great spot for a nice, affordable dinner! We definitely enjoyed outselves.

Pizza was pretty good, but the service was horrible. We watched a waitress stand there and talk to one table of guests for close to 10 min, and in the meantime, our beers were at the bar getting warm. As we drank our warm beers, it took even longer to get our pizza. It wouldnt have been a big deal if it were busy, but there were only 3 tables occupied including our own. Would not go back.

Great all around experience here at Mezzaluna, fantastic food and staff. Im hooked! Updated 7-1 slow service, long wait for food and to top it all off food was lukewarm and over cooked. The last couple of times I visited its been mediocre at best. Too bad as its been really great in the past but not the last couple of months. I live locally but will probably not be back for some time now.

Great place to meet people, serving a wide variety of palates. The service was below par and expectations, so it would be a problem for those who get worked up about long lag times between orders and people reaching across you and such...but for their part we stated at our table from 630 to closing and never got a hint that we needed to move along. Thats super impressive.

Spectacular food and service. It is very hard for me to eat out with my allergies (Severe, anaphylactic Tree nuts, Peanuts, and shellfish allergy). Told them about it and received flawless service. Manager even came out herself and she was making 100% sure everything was allergy free on my plate from appetizer to dessert. On TOP of all that the food was spectacular. 10/10

Service was very slow tonight. Ordered skirt steak, it was fatty and grisly, and apparently bean sprouts is now considered a side vegetable. My steak was also under cooked. My server never checked on me to see if I was happy either. To say the least I was disappointed. This is the first time Ive had a bad experience here. One more and I wont come back. Sad...

Placed an order for a to go pizza. I have never been to this place before. Went to pick it up the pizza. Had to park 2 blocks away. Then I had to stand a the bar for 10 minutes to pick up my order. Bar tenders were to busy talking. Got pizza finally and when I got home everything I ordered was Cold. Worst $40.00 Ive ever spent. Will Never return.

this place always, always does a great job. Sure, there is sometimes a miscommunication between FOH and BOH, but overall- they actually care to get it right. Very good food, a bit on the high $$ side because of the cost of doing business on Main Street. You should make this one of your culinary spots when in town. yep....you should

Repeat customer from the local area. Went for lunch on a Friday around 1:00 p.m. Walked in , looked about half full. Hostess came up and told us they werent seating any more tables because they had "too many people ". We were welcome to come back in 15 minutes tho. So even tho they arent that busy you may not get a table. Not going back.

Great food. Friendly staff. That said the last 2 times Ive been here the waiter/waitress have been very "flighty" with our order. We had to call them over numerous times and remind them we had ordered drinks and what they were as well with other aspects of our order, even though nothing we ordered was complicated at all.

I called to make reservations for six people for dinner prior to the show at Downtown Playhouse. I was told they dont take reservations for less than seven people. Ive never heard of such a thing! There are plenty of places that will take reservations prior to the theater. Im a local and wont be going back to Mezzaluna!

Mezzaluna is a must go experience! The atmosphere is unbeatable, it has a great décor with an open kitchen were you can see the wood fire oven. The only thing that kept it from getting five stars was the service could Ave been a little better. But the food definitely helped out weight the service!

Dont understand the bad reviews, guess Ive been there at the right times. Been in there four or five times in the last six months and never had a bad experience. Its one of those menus where everything looks good and has been. Great selection of local beers and the service has been above average.

I moved to Hendersonville, NC 9 months ago. I have been to Mezzaluna 3 times. The 1st time the pizza was burned. The 2nd was average . The 3rd was the skimpest poorly made pizza ever. I recommend "West First Wood Fired Pizza" and "Mono Lisas". I will not go back to "Mezzalunas" again.

The waitress was not very friendly and not very knowledgeable about the food or wine. The wine selection was lacking servely and serve hot ugh. I like grapes in wine not just alcohol. The food was bland and tasteless. I would recommend Mona Lisa over this over priced place anyway!!!
