The food has always been pretty decent. But my husband & I went there for lunch yesterday, I was in my work uniform since I just got off work & the man who seated us asked me if I was EMS & was reading my shirt. I told him I worked for Fire & Rescue & he walked off without saying anything. During our meal, our waiter not once came to our table to refill our drinks or even speak to us. We were pretty over the whole thing, so we went to pay out & the same man that seated us was the one at the register. As we were standing there, my husband noticed a sign on the wall that said Discounts for SENIOR CITIZENS, EMS, & POLICE ONLY!! I wasnt upset that I wasnt getting a discount..I was upset that they dont think our firefighters deserve the same treatment, considering the fact they are EMTs as well as everything else they do. You give SENIOR CITIZENS a discount, but not a FIREFIGHTER who saves lives & would be the one to the rescue if your building was burning to the ground, or giving you medical care if you were in need. I just think its really shot out & Im down right disappointed in this place for that! Have always liked this place, but everything about our experience yesterday & that included just left a really bad taste in my mouth and I lost all respect for them. Not sure we will be back!

Prices are great but that dont mean everything to me, waitress asked me if i wanted more tea and i said yes so she took my glass and proceeded to the next table where she did the same with that customer, we both had straws in our glass which the glasses where being carried with the same hand with the straws and rims touching one another, the waitress brought back the drinks to our tables and that done it for me, i told the manager and all she said was that our waitresses have to hurry and i told her speed wasnt everything, you should train your people to be more aware of what they are doing exchanging saliva from one glass or straw to another and maybe perhaps fill up a picture to bring around to tables to refill glasses but she was unresponsive and didnt seem to care, no wander there is so many diseases. if this is how they do on the floor in front of customers they are no telling what goes on in the kitchen. i will not be back.

I ate Chow King today for the first time in a while. When they first opened it was really good. BAD IDEA. The first red flag should have been that when i received my drink there was something all over the rim of the glass and some of it was on the inside. I take it to a waiter and he just hands me a new cup. I said "no I want a new cup, ice and drink!" I had gotten beef and broccoli, sesame chicken and honey chicken. When i put into the beef something didnt taste right so I immediately spit it out. The honey chicken tasted okay but not the best and the sesame chicken was disgusting. I got to looking where i had bit off a piece of the beef and it didnt look to good. So i looked at the piece I had spit out and it was RAW!! I was so disgusted. I am pregnant so I am thanking God that I didnt ingest it. Needless to say I will not be back and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to not go either.

Me and my friend her husband an lil girl went here tonight.. our waiter was extremely rude.. would not refill our cups would get our plates but not ask if we needed more drink my friends husband had to walk up to the waiter station and ask another waitress to refill our cups an in this process our waiter walked past him 2 times to refill other peoples drinks.. An there was nats flying around our food and there was some landing in our tables and we showed the waiter an he kills it with his hand on our table then walks away.. So we get up to leave an we talk to the manager an she says he thought U wanted him to kill it.. who would want some to smash a bug on our table.. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO CHOW KING ANYTIME SOON.. PLUS THE FOOD WAS COLD AND GROSS!!!!!

I consider myself very tolerable of buffets; I expect a certain amount of disgusting to go along with them. Yet this buffet was too disgusting even for me. Upon walking in, I could smell a noxious mixture of soap water and over cooked food. Against my better judgement, tried it anyway. Food was, indeed, overcooked or soggy from sitting on the warning trays too long. We were seated on the far side, even though they werent busy. As expected from that, drink refills hardly came. Doesnt help that the bucket of soap water that I smelled upon coming in was fairly close to our table. The experience while there was unpleasant enough, but I felt nauseous for hours afterward. Perhaps my own thoughts affecting my stomach, but I didnt want to eat anything the next day.

Wish I could take away stars and give them a negative review. The waitress hardly ever came over to help or refill our drinks. Had to beg for refills, the high chair we used for our toddler was nasty and the straps were broken. There was a bucket in the middle of the floor in the dinning area one table over from us catching water dripping from the ceiling. All the food tasted terrible, it all had a kind of fish taste. It was 11.99 per adult and apparently our 12 year old should move out and get a job because they considered her an adult. Never going back again

Went on a Sunday at 11:30am with my husband and we wont be going back. The food was not hot, it had been sitting there long enough that it was stale and barely warm. The rice was good, but lets face it, anyone can cook rice. The employees were very rude and the place smelled like a horse stable. Not to mention there was a roach right as you walk in the door, and the health score is a 90. This place should be shut down, and Im just praying we dont get food poisoning. Its sad that Decatur doesnt have a good Chinese restaurant anymore.

We paid $69 for 3 adults and 3 kids to eat and we were able to handle the taste of the rice and the fruit only (not worth the money). MOST of the food was either dry, burnt, stale, or a fishy flavor. The highchair was dirty and straps broken, their was a bucket in the floor in the dining room catching water dripping from the ceiling, the smell of the restaurant was terrible, the bathroom was nasty with poop in the floor and toilet paper everywhere, had to beg for drink refills, and we will not return to this restaurant.

They have good food I will give them that!! But they are RUDE!!! They over charged my mom by $11.00 and when she went to tell them they said sorry check with your bank and would not do anything about it when it was her fault that did it she was rude!!! We did leave a tip!! But we had to ask for more drinks and he brought us all more but my daughter she waited 5 mins longer on hers!! So we will not be back!!! They get no stars from me but I had to put one before I could post this
