Really Cappys.... Last time I checked you were a locally owned family pizza joint. You know what kids like.... Pizza. So to post signs saying no kids allowed on the patio really makes it hard to patronage your establishment. You know what else kids like is to be outside. The patio would be the ideal place to allow the children. You also have video games, board games, and a train that runs around the perimeter of the restaurant all of which attract children. You know what comes with children, paying parents. If I have learned anything about the restaurant industry after 14 years of being in it, if you keep the children happy and occupied, the parents will give you their wallet. Your pizza is subpar at best but it is very convenient, based on location, not convenient time wise. My recommendation would be to try New World Brewery or Demi’s Market. They have WAY better pizza. Not only can you bring your children but you can bring your pets as well.

For quite the unique experience, try Cappys in Seminole Heights. Be warned, it is a cash only establishment. Hand made pies, with stretched dough and fresh toppings. A touch of spice and sweet to their sauce is a good hit to me. Pizza done in two styles, NY and Chicago. For a unique taste, try the Chicago style. Be willing to wait for it since it takes a bit of time to cook, and enjoy it as a "dine in" meal. The greek salad is great to start with and has the traditional bit of potato salad with it. There is also a great selection of self serve beers in the cooler. Your server will keep tabs on what you have. The proximity to other great places makes Cappys even better. Enjoy friends and food, maybe a beer or two, then walk next door for some wonderful live music and beer too.

Cappys Pizza is a really great spot for a different pizza choice! Walking in, I see so many things to look at. Its got a neat vintage look to it and features some original 1980s arcade machines, which brought me back. Each time Ive visited here, the service was warm and friendly. Nichole made sure we had all our dining needs met and the food was delicious. I dont eat meat, but my veggie pizza was awesome! I was able to get broccoli as a topping...who does that!? The only downside is that they are only open 4-5 hours a night, so lunch there wouldnt be possible. Despite their limited hours, Ill be visiting Cappys again in the future and recommend it.

Its right at dead average pizza but on my visit nothing to get too excited about. The crust and sauce were okay, but the sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking. We ordered the vegetarian and added chicken. The ingredients were sparse and not placed throughout the pie - the chicken tasted like the Tyson bagged version you would get at the grocery store. Service was on the slow side but thats because only one server was working the dining area. The decor in the place is unique and well decorated. Would I go back, probably not.

Cappys in Seminole Heights is quickly beginning one of our favorite restaurants. The kitschy decor, trivial pursuit cards to pass the time, help yourself sodas, spacious tables, great staff, and... oh yeah, awesome Chicago style Vegan deep dish pizza that will knock your sandals off! Seminole Heights is the only Cappys offering vegan options. Toppings include locally sourced tempeh and Daiya cheese. The sauce is amazing and the trendy hipster vibe makes it worth a visit. They are cash only, though, but there is an ATM on site.

If you have 2-3 hours to waste then Cappys is okay. Beer is overpriced for domestics. The greek salad and the atmosphere are great. The pizza is pretty good but Stephannos is way better, just nowhere to sit. Cappys has crap hours, only open from 4-9pm. If you show up at 9pm expect to be turned away. So if you want to grab something eat after having a late beer at the Independent you are out of luck. They need to fire their entire staff and get some real service.

Been eating here for years. Best Chicago pizza in town HANDS DOWN... I used to work in Chicago OFTEN, and I think Cappys Chicago is better than most of the pies I had there..... I attribute some of the people complaining about the pizza just being people who are accustomed to the really crappy mainstream places like dominos & little ceasars, and just dont know what GOOD pizza is...

Gimmie a break during a week day you close at 9pm? This is a bunch of nonsense. How are they able to keep their doors open by opening up in the late afternoon and closing their doors at 9pm... LMFAF! Last time i EVER eat there and trust me word of mouth will go out about this. Best part about this place is their vintage style decor you can rarely see because their doors are ALWAYS closed.

Im so surprised at all the positive reviews. I just ordered a New York style veggie for the first time and it was terrible! I took it to go and I live half a mile from the location and I opened it up right away. It was way too saucy and the crust was inedible! It felt like I was chewing on rubber. $14.00 for a small veggie was a total rip off. Never again!

The best pizza in Tampa and all of our out-of-town guests agree. Its always a hit with everyone we bring. Theres a great selection in the self-serve beer cooler. Add the fact that its self-serve to the warm and friendly staff and it just makes me feel like Im at a casual house/pizza party. Do yourself a favor and order the Greek salad to start.

This time it was a take-out order. They gave us the wrong pizza and I only discovered it when I got home. Called the restaurant and person answering just laughed and never offered any solution or compensation. I drove the pizza back to swap it out and no apology , thank you or anything. Great pizza but always terrible service from the staff.

i will not dine in anymore...the food is excellent and priced right...i have eaten in there more than 3 times due to the convenience of being the one and only pizzeria on my side of seminole heights...i ordered take out and who ever took my money was just plain rude. its sad because my family can just walk there and WE LOVE PIZZA and salad.

I live right up the street from Cappys and have been coming here for the past 7 years. Yes the staff is not as friendly as some people would like but the management only staffs two servers on a busy weekend. The food is great and have established close relations with some of the staff who turn out to be very cool and polite. 5 STARS

Dissapointed... I attempted to call in an order, but the women who answered made us lose our appetite for Cappys. I asked what is inside of the calzones, because we are unfamiliar with them. We have never had a calzone. Her response was "What comes inside of cheese...?" With a rude tone. . We will be eating else where tonight.

Great pizza and salads. Some of the best in the Tampa area. They have both NY and Chicago style pies. The greek salad is great. They have a good selection of beers. The place is decorated in old Florida antique toys and games and the atmosphere is great. Only downside is they are indeed cash only, so come prepared.
