Wow, bad for even American Chinese food. If one cooks a Chinese meat & vegetable dish, the meat is fast fried, then the vegetables are par boiled , then fried, the meats is added back to the vegetables & the sauce is tossed in, all ingredients are mixed & served. At this place (& the even worse China Wok - further south on Merrimon) all of the vegetables are pre-steamed and all ingredients are tossed in the wok at the same time until "cooked". The result is a soggy mass of glob with no distinguishing characteristics. That said, the soups (wonton & hot & sour) were OK here. At China Wok they tasted like dishwater...but Asheville is NOT a place to eat Chinese out...There is now a startling good (for Asheville) Korean place (Stone Bowl) in south Asheville...give it a try if you must have "Asian Food" here

The food here is always made fresh to order. I eat here a few times a week and have never been dissatisfied. The restaurant is very clean and the food is always rich in flavor. I also order delivery for lunch and the service is alway prompt and the food is still hot when it gets to my business. I personally send my clients to eat here as well. I have been eating their food here for about 8 years.(from the old location too) I am a "northerner" and I have to say this is the closest to NY style Chinese you will get anywhere in the Asheville area.

Called for delivery, and was told there was no delivery driver working, and then was hung up on without any further explanation. Called back after deciding to order take out and spoke to a child, who took my order. When picking up the order, I heard the male childs voice who first told me there was no delivery driver that evening tell someone on the phone their order would be there in 30 minutes. When I asked what the deal was, all of the children working retreated into the kitchen. Horrible experience

We eat here several times a month. The prices are extremely affordable and the quality of food is wonderful. As far as the reviews that I read "mushy" food does not apply when you order something other than "mushy" chow mein. Try ordering Chicken and vegetables. It is very healthy and the vegetables are very crisp. I have never recieved mushy or bad tasting food. The won ton soup is superb as well as the hot and sour soup. Dont believe negative reviews naming other restaurants,try for yourself!

I ordered fried rice about a month ago and it was like $8 when I got it home nothing but rice and meat. No veggies. I called and they said they dont put carrots and peas in it anymore. It was frustrating enough when all Chinese restaurants around here stopped putting egg in the fried rice and if you want it you pay $1 or $2 more. How can you charge an entree price and not have veggies? Very disappointed and will not be going back.

I would not even give them 1 star but you have to to write a review... The staff here are the rudest people I have ever met!!!! Ate here once and thought ok they are just having a bad day and took my chances again just to see but nope the same horrible way.. the food has no flavor at all and the wait staff were so nasty as far as their clothes and stuff and were so freaking rude!!!?? WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!!!!! ..

Sometimes its really good and sometimes its not. The sesame chicken on a good day is very similar to new york,its saucy and crispy. On an off day its barely sesame chciken over general sous and its soggy. Whoever delivers the food is relentlessly always on her phone and is generally rude... often forgets chop sticks...however.... i dont order for her service. Overall the food is %50 guarenteed great.

I got general tsos chicken, Ive ordered this same dish from every Chinese place Ive ever picked up from. Probably close to 30 different places. This was the best general tso chicken Ive ever had. It was the perfect amount of spicy and sweet. I highly recommend it. Also this is the first food review Ive ever left so think about it. Go there right now! !

Nothing fancy, just basic chinese takeout. What really stood out to me was that none of the kids working there (and yes I mean kids, I didnt see one adult) were pretty young... what is going on here? Not sure I will come back. Not because the food or service was bad, just because Im not a supporter of child labor...

Waitress for starters was totally unkept with greasy hair and visible dirt on her clothing.. should have been a sign, but all I wanted was a bowl of soup. Won ton soup broth tasted horrible and the mystery meat inside the wontons was inedible. Paid and left without eating..will not go back

This place is disgusting. They also have there children or imported children working for them. With out a doubt the worst food and service in town...do not waste your money. You can also clearly see that they have posted good comments to up there ratings. This should be condemned...

Awesome!!!! LOVE this place, GREAT food, GREAT prices. I eat there a few times a week; i work down the road and have my meals delivered...prompt. Everything is fresh and nicely seasoned. I would recommend this place to anyone with a healthy appetite!!! 100% satisfied!

everytime ive gone here its been decent. nothing to write home about, but nothing terrible either. and yes there has been kids working but it could be the owners kids. and its not like theyre doing a crazy amount of work either so its not a big deal

Underwhelming. Bags and boxes piled everywhere, not even close to tidy. Service isnt great. Duck sauce tastes terrible and the food isnt very flavorful. Not much effort goes into this place and it shows.

I came in at 3pm and requested lunch. They said no lunch ends at 3. So I ordered off Reg menu. They charged me for dinner price, and in my to go bag was lunch special. Basically overcharged a lot
