The food is fresh, fragrant, delicious, and as authentic as it can be in a small Southern city. Prices are reasonable. The locale may not be special, nor the decor much to brag about, but the high quality of the food offsets any other consideration. I have no problem recommending Nois for small parties, but its a small location, so dont walk in with more than four people without having the courtesy to call first so they can rearrange tables without disturbing the other diners. We had Horapa and Pad Thai today. The Pad Thai was nicely sour, as it should be with tamarind, not sweet like many places serve it, and medium spicy truly is medium. The Horapa was quite fragrant with vibrant colors that can only be achieved using fresh ingredients and stir-frying over very high heat. Interestingly, they offer wines from a vineyard in Thailand. We didnt try them today but plan to on our next visit. Overall, Nois Thai Kitchen is a delightful place for lunch or dinner.

To be totally honest, I am brutally disappointed. I came here, prdered fried tofu and beef pad Thai. The tofu was over fried and filled with searing hot oil that poured all over my arm, the sauce provided was 90% peanuts, and the tofu was over-breaded. The pad Thai was nothing short of disgusting. Since it is a universally known dish (even called "the most popular dish in Thailand, according to the menu) I was hoping for it to be at least passible, but they served the dish with a heap of wilted cabbage, no peanuts, and no fresh anything. The pad Thai itself is repulsive, because they drench the noodles in incredibly thick tomato sauce. They used more than any self respecting Italian chef would even consider putting on a pasta dish. It tasted more like burnt and overlooked spaghetti os. I will not be returning, and I highly recommend a change of chef. The only good thing was the Thai iced tea, which you get one free refill of.

Pra Ram Long Song, Panang Curry, Pad Thai, and Masaman Curry, all with just vegetables are my favorite dishes here. Especially the Pra Ram Long Song. My partner and I only started eating here recently because a friend told us he thought it was "so-so". We LOVE it though!!! Most of our entrees are 10.99, but vary from 9.99 to 11.99. They arent open on Sunday unfortunately, and its best to eat during off hours, like sort of early dinner hours, but not late. I dont think they stay open late either. Also, be careful to not sit where the sun will suddenly hit you as it goes down. Just try this place, and I know youll be back. We just wish we hadnt heeded our friends advice for so long.

Went out to dinner with my boyfriend and father since he was visiting in town. We heard about the restaurant from a friend and we love Thai food and its the best Thai restaurant in town (in our opinion). The staff are very friendly and attentive, the food was amazing (I had Pad Thai with duck and best pad thai, and best duck Ive ever had, and im a lady of all the foods). The decor is simple and nice, very bright and open, they have lovely pictures of Thailand, and they kept it tasteful and not over the top. TL;DR Its awesome possum, go there.

If I was able to give them negative numbers I would, My partner and I ordered two soups the coconut and chicken broth it was very sweet and the broth was extremely salty. Then we ordered fried rice and pad Thai and it has burned eggs, the fried rice tasted like rice and eggs that I couldve clearly made at home. The shrimp with the fried rice tasted like it was boiled and place on the plate after. The Pad Thai tasted Ramon noodles, poorly seasoned. Very bad never coming here again. The price for the quality of food is over priced.

I met the owner and chef (Noi) the other day while having lunch. She lived in Thailand for 42 years. Now she lives in the kitchen at Nois. You can expect great food, because Noi is at the stove everyday cooking. Quality control in a kitchen comes from a consistent cook being there. Noi is there cooking exceptional traditional Thai food the way she would make it for her family. You can expect fresh, flavorful food with friendly service at Nois.

I like this place They seemed to have had a rocky start, and even though I had a few unpleasant experiences in the beginning, I gave them a few more chances and have not been disappointed. The past 3 years has been nothing but pleasant experiences Service is great, place is clean, food is consistent, Det is always there with a smile at the counter I recommend it, and am grateful we have a good Thai joint on the north side

Since my fiancee is Vietnamese, we were excited to learn that there was some authentic Asian food in Asheville. We really wanted to like Nois Thai Kitchen, but the sauces were very watered down and under spiced, the beef was boiled to the point of mealiness, and the salad was dressed with fish sauce and water. Service was excellent and we really liked the ambiance, but the food was not authentic or even remotely good.

Thai Kitchen is our go to takeout place. Its reasonably priced, the portions are generous, and the food is absolutely delicious. The manager is always friendly and fastidious. When he says 10-15 minutes, he absolutely means it. Im a sucker for the green curry, but have also had the pad Thai and been impressed. I cant speak to "authentic" but also dont really care. The food is great, and thats what really matters.

Just ordered take out.. the papaya salad was not good in my opinion. The sauce was sorta like soup and it had alot of peanut. Papaya is supposed to be sour. I didnt taste it at all nor did i taste any fish sauce. The red curry was rly good although it wasnt thick enough but it was rly big portion! The padthai is probally the best we had in a long time. Would come back for padthai if i lived in Asheville.

Had a really awful experience on a date here a few years ago. Terrible service, took forever, food was overpriced and not very good. Left my water glass empty for almost 30 minutes. The waiter seemed more interested in chatting up a cute girl and her friend than taking care of us. They completely embarrassed me in front of a first date. I wont go back.

Cheap, tasty food and friendly staff. I am a regular and I generally get the lunch special costs a mere $6.50, is always good and is accompanied by a free spring roll! I cant imagine better food at a lower price. The waiting staff are polite and friendly, without getting in your face too much. Try it, youll love it!

I had the curry and pad thai last night, and both were horrible. The servings were huge, but the quality was inexcusable. The curry was watered down and flavorles and the thai was just huge amounts of noodles with very little seasoning. I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

The customer service was good. However, the food was sub par for thai food. I ordered pad see ew and it was lacking the usual flavor and sauce. It was supposed to come with broccoli but do you see any broccoli in the picture? I dont because it certainly wasnt there. It just could be better.
