ROACHES AT THE TABLE. The last time were were there, while seated in a booth by the front window, I observed a cockroach crawl onto my girlfriends hair. Needless to say, she was freaked out and we were concerned about the hygiene. Contributing to this concern, the staff was unsurprised and indifferent about the roaches. One said something about having a roach problem in the kitchen. We left without finishing the meal we had just begun, and the unfriendly staff was irritated that I refused to pay. I called the health inspector and filed a report by phone, but I have doubts that action was taken, as I elected to make my name public (you can submit anonymously), and I was told an inspector would call me. No one ever did.

I have eaten here at least once a week for the last year. It is smaller than many other buffets, but overall the food is good. They are generally busy and the food gets refreshed often through the night. The egg rolls can be a hit or a miss, but when they are a hit, they are almost addicting. The honey chicken and honey potatoes are better than most buffets. I also think their ribs, which is only served at night are better than any other local buffets. The servers overall are very friendly, with a couple of them who seem to watch out for me when I am there and the atmosphere is nice. I would recommend this buffet and would give them four and half stars. The lack of variety and choices keep them from getting five.

TAMPA RESTAURANT REVIEWS
After rewriting this review several times, it has become apparent that it is nearly impossible to exclude an abundant amount of frustration, disgust, and regret. Describing this food as mediocre would be a compliment I am not willing to bestow. Going into further detail, the Lo Mein was very dry and bland. The Orange Chicken was mushy and if I had to guess, it was most likely microwaved. Even the water had a notable foulness. After leaving the front entrance, my girlfriend an I immediately became nauseous making us realize this food could quite possibly be deemed dangerous. When it comes to Lee Garden Chinese Restaurant, the words of the day are unsafe, offensive, an unpleasant.

At first, they were not as nice to me, but after a while they loved me, even when i dont leave many tips (im student/broke sometimes). The food is great and the prices are very affordable. I believe is like $6 and change for lunch and $8 for dinner (all you can eat buffet). Food taste really good. The only cons about this place is that they serve the same food, over and over, so it gets boring if you go quite often. They also need to update the tables, but since the food taste soo good, I still go. From all the Chinese restaurants in the area Lee Garden is my option number 1. The food taste better than JUMBO Buffet, and its cheaper.

This is the first time I have ever written a review but I found it necessary to warn others about this place before making the same mistake I did. I ordered general tsos chicken and a couple of egg rolls for takeout, I picked it up and paid nearly 12 bucks. This is definetly more than I usually pay at other restaurants but I figured it would be worth it if it is good. I got home and after one bite I was thoroughly disgusted. It tasted like the chicken was weeks old, even had an odd smell to it. I moved on to the egg rolls, they sucked to! I ended up feeding it to my dog. I hope im not sick tomorrow. Going to be hungry tonight.

Compared to other buffets, Lee’s Garden looked a bit more welcoming than others and seemed to attract a better crowd. All good signs. The dishes offered are very similar to other Buffets… ‘take out Chinese’-type food. Overall lots of brown colors. Thankfully the variety is not insane (those tend to work against the bigger buffet places because fresh food doesn’t get turned around as fast). The quality from those I tasted were better than typical take-out places (crispier veggies, not-soggy fried items). I liked how they had Crawfish and Mussels during my visit.

This place seems nice but was overall a disappointment. The food looks appealing at first, but upon closer inspection you realize most of it has been either frozen or canned. The fried rice is bland and mushy, chicken is tough and drowned in sauce, peppered beef is chewy and bland, sushi looks and tastes old... the list goes on. Some things do genuinely look fresh while others have a visible film covering them or clearly came pre-made in a box. The staff is very friendly and the environment cozy. Just the food is a problem.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant after reading several reviews that stated that the food was excellent. It wasnt bad but Ive had better. The portion size was exccellent but the Szechuan chicken was heavy on the garlic and onions and was quite greasy. When I picked up my food the people at the counter ignored me for the first few minutes that I stood there and were not very friendly at all. I am only in Tampa temporarily so I will be trying someplace else the next time that I have a taste for Chinese takeout.

They only have one buffet of options, a quarter of which is cheep pastrys and cold food. We didnt get any service during lunch because waitress was eating as well... Thats fine but at the end she ASKED for a tip We didnt get water refills or dirty plates taken away until the end of the meal. Food wasnt even remotely fresh and I think they had some ingredient thats gone bad because a ton of the options had a weird sour taste to it. Weve been here three times but this was the last time.

Sweet people, but the food was terrible. NOT a good place to eat if youre diabetic as everything is either deep fried or sweet. My fiancé, who will literally eat damn near anything, complained of an upset stomach by the time we got to the car. The "sushi" is fried shrimp with cream cheese or cream cheese with browning avacado. Ive actually had better at Publix. Everything that wasnt sweet was coated in old oil. We didnt even get what we paid for at $9.99. This was a Fri night.
