This bar has kinda fallen off over time. 2003-05 was when the scene in the place was a bit better, they had cuter bartenders working there and there was just a better vibe. Not to say its a terrible place to get a drink but there used to be much better looking people that frequented the spot. Am i shallow? perhaps but when you go in there and there is just a line up of tired, defeated looking people nursing cans of pabst, you get nostalgic for the cute, crazy girls that used to come in along with talented graffiti writers, interesting people.....sorry, i just miss the way this place used to be. And because of that, its an average bar now at best. And whoever had the idea to install all that lighting in there, you killed the ambiance dick.

I was in that bar last Saturday, April 12th, 2014.. I wanted to watch the Masters. They didnt have Coors light but that was fine, I drank Bud light. I bought one for $4. paid with a $5 left the dollar on the bar. Did this again. Again leaving the dollar on the bar. Now there are two dollars of my money sitting on the bar about 3 inches from my bottle of beer. Mind you these dollars were not in the well but on the bar close to me. The female bartender all of a sudden just walked over and grabbed them and put them in her tip jar. I thought that was some kind of ballsy. Ill never step foot in there again . HG

Cans of Pabst the size of a football, legit dj on saturdays spinning classic 80s, (actually on vinyl and not just itunes) and an inexpensive selection of great liquor and draft beers, a pool table, two pinball machines, and a vintage arcade game with frogger, AND donkey kong. Need I say more? Berkeley doesnt have very many bars, and there are even fewer great bars. This bar felt like home the first time i stepped through the door, and its always my go to, definitely my favorite bar in Berkeley.

I went to Acme bar last night with some friends (just a random Tuesday) and I have to say it was great. The atmosphere was nice, the decorations they had up for the holidays were well done, and the jukebox selections are awesome. i have never seen such a huge Whiskey selection! The Redbreast was my favorite of the few I tried. Anyway, great place, very welcoming and comfortable inside, with some pinball and some pool to keep you busy as well! I will definitely be going here again =)

If you are looking for cozy neighborhood low key kind of place with a great selection of Bourbons then this is your place. Not fancy, not a dive, but kind of like that favorite flannel shirt you just cant throw away. Service is good and friendly. Left my credit card here one time and they had it waiting for me next day. Other nice thing is you can pop next door or across the street, about 5 or 6 restaurants on the block.

Great selections of high end whiskeys & tequilas and many more to choose from. I love this place in its my hood . my only problem with it is the people that frequent it are poorly dressed & no sense of style whatsoever ... The homeless in the city dress better than the people who come to this bar......

Really nice place to hang out. Great selection of whiskey, bourbon and other fun stuff, plus a decent selection of local craft beer on tap and in bottles. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable and the whole place had a great, friendly vibe.

I havent been to this bar in years, I remember it being a lot dive-ier but its now been completely remodeled with reclaimed glass light fixtures and nostalgia signs. The hot toddy I got hit the spot and there was a lot of open seating.

Theyve got one of the best whiskey selections in the bay. The meat shakes are on my list for the top 3 bloodys of all time. Super chill and knowledgeable. Just a great place to wind down and truly enjoy a drink with friends.
